It wasn't overly sweet and had a delicate flavor. They also offer a variety of baked goods, pastries, and cakes, so I'm excited to try something else next time. I was looking for a cheesecake for a birthday celebration since I know they love New York style…read morecheesecake but I wanted something a bit more special and not from a grocery store. Found this spot and they had a good selection mid afternoon to pick up on a Sunday. The person at the counter is super helpful in helping describe how the cake may taste. They have basque cheesecake which is richer and the flavour I'm sure the person I'm gifting would confidently enjoy but I wasn't sure if they would prefer the lightness of their popular japanese options over the classic NY cheesecake. She explained the glazed popular cheesecakes they have aren't regular New York style cheese cake (despite their Uber Eats describing it as such for their Yakult flavour cheese cake). It's more like cheesecake mousse. I didn't want to get the basque cheesecake because it didn't look as nice. So she said the black sesame is in between the classic basque / New York cheesecake and the popular glazed mousse cheesecake. It's also made of marscapone and layered with matcha and not too sweet. It's also her fav so I went with her recommendation. I notice the black sesame cake isn't shown as available on Uber Eats delivery. I decided to pick up in person to make sure the delivery goes smoothly. The price difference is just $1. However, Uber Eats does charge tax and other fees whereas there's no tax at all on pick up. I eventually tried a piece and it does taste like a hybrid cheesecake in texture though the middle thin layer is a bit soggy, though I didn't mind that part. However, even though I love matcha I'm not a fan of the matcha and black sesame combination. I think I would've like an intense black sesame middle layer. The matcha layer is more intense creating an imbalance and over powers the black sesame flavour in the cake. Still a tasty cake especially for someone that prefers lighter not too sweet cakes. Note the staff does hand you the payment and there's a tip option of 10% as the lowest suggested option, which I found kinda excessive for just putting a cake in the box. They don't even make cakes at this location. It's all made in the Sauga location and she didn't even write the happy birthday on the cake. I know it's optional but it's just the consumer experience, I tipped but I feel like the tipping culture is a bit excessive to pass onto the consumer to tip on an expensive cake. Just price the cake fairly to compensate the employee or waive for pick ups and have it for only dine-ins. Unlike the previous review, it seems like they do provide a little free happy birthday topper and also a complimentary skinny candle and you're also welcome to buy extra candles if you want. They also sell some $10~ decorative helium balloons to make your celebration a bit more festive. This is their second location. The main one being in Sauga, which I've been told has been in operation for over 25 years apparently. This one I was told was opened in the last 2 years.

The Christmas special was Dark Chocolate mousse with full of Christmas decorations. The cake we ordered online and it was ready on time. The cake was not as sweet as we understand, the first layer was exactly dark chocolate mousse, 2nd layer was strawberries mousse that a bit sour, and inside has a real piece of dark chocolate. That's really full of layers. The decorations were also holiday themed. We added a chocolate signature to say Happy birthday to father. We love this type of cake, not too sweet, but full of surprises.

2026 Birthday Series -- Stop #2: Paris Baguette…read more I'm kicking off a series reviewing all the places I visited to redeem my birthday goodies in July 2026. Along with an overall rating, each spot gets scored on redeemability (how easy it is to claim) and actual value. Paris Baguette Redeemability: 4/5 (requires app download and sign-up, scan at counter) Actual value: 4/5 (a free cake slice!) Outside of birthday, my partner, family and I do frequent Paris baguette, but with the price tag, I think it is only the most worthwhile to go when there's an ongoing promotion; otherwise, the items can be overall overpriced (ie a special drink at 10 dollars with tax, a donut at 8 with tax and a sandwich at 20 dollars with tax....these are way too much) Go in the morning for the freshest goods.

They packed the cake in a beautiful box and thankfully it was on a sturdy bottom so it didn't move during the delivery and looked so good! The cake itself was very good, a lot of strawberries with the whipping cream and cake were not too sweet so it balanced with the natural sweetness of the strawberries very well! It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. Would be interested in going to the store and trying more things in the future.

Communication is email only, which works, but it does feel a bit arms length and takes away from the personal touch you'd expect from a boutique bakery. I enjoyed everything I ate here and would definitely be back to try some other items, but would probably not get the twice baked almond croissant again as there was an alcoholy taste to it that was not for me. The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

If you have a sweet tooth and love fruit, this is a must-try. I enjoyed it so much--it's a delightful mix of sweetness, fruitiness, and juiciness. Thanks to a Korean friend who introduced me, I was initially worried about the sugar coating being too sweet, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced. The addition of fruit and juice made it even better, especially the tangerine flavor, which stole the show for me. Juicy and fantastic! Also, kudos for the thoughtful packaging with a paper layer and a pocket below, preventing any mess. I decided to order a bit of everything cream puff, berry cake slice, croissant, pain au chocolat, apple tart, chocolate tart, 2 biscuits and two tea drinks to try. I think the chai tea drink was a bit weak in flavour and they missed adding milk to my berry and pea flower green tea. They did help separate what needed to be refrigerated vs room temp which was great for transport but *I think* the chocolate tarte did ooze some caramel onto to the box on our 40 min drive. The front staff highlighted their croissant and pain au chocolat when I ask for their recommendations but I have to say their cream puff, chocolate tart and berry cake we tried were our favs. I wish I have gotten more of that cream puff.
