Their main location is in Mississauga, and they expanded to North York a few years ago. Service is nice and cheerful, making you feel quite welcome. I like their drink selection that has some interesting things like black sesame latte, tiramisu latte, and grapefruit tea. Their dessert select is good too, with things big and small. Their rolls and cakes are excellent, with plenty of cream, not too sweet. The cakes are beautifully glazed and decorated. The sweet potato cake is fluffy and light. The mont blanc has a nice chestnutty flavour, but is a bit too sweet for my liking. At the moment, they are selling Korean dubai chewy cookies, but we'll see how long this fad lasts...

But she was right LOL. It was really good, and it was even better than the desserts at the restaurant we had dinner at that night. We cut the 6" cheesecake into 12 small pieces, and it was perfect for a sweet little treat at the end of our meal :) The staff were courteous and ready to help. It was quite busy even on a Saturday evening around 6pm. There are also tables inside the shop for dining in. Other than whole cakes, they do have slices of cakes available and other mini desserts + a lot of macarons! We did request the shop to write HBD on the cake, but the staff said they are unable to do it at this location (not sure why, maybe don't have the proper tools?). We also tried asking for a candle; we ended up having to buy a pack of 6 candles at the shop :\

They packed the cake in a beautiful box and thankfully it was on a sturdy bottom so it didn't move during the delivery and looked so good! The cake itself was very good, a lot of strawberries with the whipping cream and cake were not too sweet so it balanced with the natural sweetness of the strawberries very well! It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. Would be interested in going to the store and trying more things in the future.

The online ordering process is smooth and convenient, and the final product genuinely impresses. I'm taking one point off only because it was impossible to reach someone by phone. Communication is email only, which works, but it does feel a bit arms length and takes away from the personal touch you'd expect from a boutique bakery. A quick call option would elevate the whole experience. That said, the pastries and cakes are excellent, and I'd happily order again. Enjoy-Zuk.

Lumière Pâtisserie is a Thornhill gem--proof that you don't have to go downtown for great pastries…read more Yes, it's tucked into a suburban plaza off a parking lot, but inside it's light-filled, calm, and smells like heaven. The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

The espresso here is excellent - well-bodied in flavour, medium roast (I think?), and pairs nicely with the sweetness of the cakes & pastries. There's also a wide selection of small personal cakes to choose from - just make sure you come early since they do sell out! We shared the cream & crumb cheesecake (simple, classic, and incredibly creamy!) and tiramichoux (think a tiramisu profiterole - such a fun twist!). Looking forward to my next visit already :)

The latte was super smooth but it's the chocolate puff ball that made me want to leave a review. I'm not usually into pastries, especially ones with stuff in the middle but this had a nice thin crispy shell with a cool tasty chocolate puff in the middle that wasn't too rich or overwhelming.. I love that they're a local business too. Easy reco and can't wait to go back

It's also buzzing with people hanging out and working on a Friday. There's also more seating upstairs and inside if needed. I decided to order a bit of everything cream puff, berry cake slice, croissant, pain au chocolat, apple tart, chocolate tart, 2 biscuits and two tea drinks to try. I think the chai tea drink was a bit weak in flavour and they missed adding milk to my berry and pea flower green tea. They did help separate what needed to be refrigerated vs room temp which was great for transport but *I think* the chocolate tarte did ooze some caramel onto to the box on our 40 min drive. The front staff highlighted their croissant and pain au chocolat when I ask for their recommendations but I have to say their cream puff, chocolate tart and berry cake we tried were our favs. I wish I have gotten more of that cream puff. I saw 1 left of that sticky toffee pudding and should've gotten one to try given I see such rave reviews for it. Next time!

It was actually really hard to choose but ended up getting the regular, mocha, and chocolate salt bread. The salt bread had the perfect level of saltiness and was quite buttery. Bought a salt bread, a canele, two financiers, and a red bean bun. Also got another candle because that was also bomb, and got a chocolate salt bread to try as well. So far my car ride tasting tells me everything is delicious. So if you happen to find yourself in the area, check this bakery out but go earlier because they sell out! They also serve DeMello coffee and their iced vanilla latte was yum though a tad bit too sweet for me.
