Well, I am here to tell you to stop in and eat everything off the menu, because it is AMAZING! We have been here twice and both times were good, but breakfast was better. I ordered the Gallo Pinto, which is a Costa Rican dish that includes black beans mixed with rice, a meat, fried cheese, egg, sausage, sweet plantains and a tortilla. The rice alone is worth having, so definitely give this a try. It is a magnificent spread that can feed two or good for sharing with a hungry toddler like mine. Hubby had the Chifrijol (black beans, white rice, crunchy fried pork layered on top pico de gallo & avocado) which was JUST as tasty just a bit small on the portion compared to mine. But a bargain for the $10 price, so absolutely give it a try for the chicharron (pork rinds) alone! Now as far as the bakery goes, we ordered a slab (yes, a mean a slab) of their corn bread and it is the best thing I've tasted in a while. It is a combination of perfectly homemade mixed with hints of the motherland that really make it out of this world. Each additional bite made it more and more appetizing. Get this. My toddler also wanted pancakes which we got 3 kid portion pancakes WITH bacon for only $4! And for a Latin spot, they make amazing pancakes! I also have to add that the service here is great, the whole restaurant is sparking clean and so cute inside. You get warm bread as you wait for your meal. The coffee is phenomenal and comes in GIANT mug. I really can't say more except...come spend your money here....order grub hub from here...and let me know if you like it!

We are big eaters and our group had 4 people, ordered 3 plates and still had leftover. Favorite was the ceviche mofongo and fried pork on beans and rice.

As we waiting for our ice cream sundaes to arrive, the servers came outside and gave us fresh popcorn. It was such a small but sweet (and tasty) gesture. The owner came out and gave us our ice cream sundaes and chatted with us for a while about the life of an entrepreneur. She was so kind to give us so much attention and information on her life starting businesses in the local area. The mission of this shop is so pure and you can tell that the ice cream parlor was built with so much love. The ice cream and mango italian ice were both fantastic. If you are in the area, I hope you get the chance to visit and have conversation with the family.

I think in many of our cultures, getting ice cream was somewhat of a treat and possibly enjoyed while on summer vacations. In this environment it gets even better. That was my mindset when seeing TIP for the first time. Clean and brightly colored shop with very nice outdoor seating options. Going inside you encounter a clean, colorful and brightly lit space with a few more tables. The counter was plexiglassed ala Covid style. Cases held about 12 ice cream choices, with maybe 8 more ice choices. Several options looked appealing to me. I went with old faithful chocolate and paired it with something I've never had, banana split. While I liked the chocolate, I really liked the split. It did remind me of getting sundaes and such as a child. The flavors were clean in both, and not overly sweetened. A better than average creaminess, but not in the upper tier. I'd get either again, or maybe one of the rotating flavors. The ice cream is not made in house, I was informed that it is sourced from local makers. I have a few suspicions as to who they might be, but of course more research will be required;). I really enjoyed talking with the owner and his two sons. To say this is a family business and or a labor of love is just barely hitting the mark. I'm tempted to tell the whole story here but I think it's better for the curious to just visit themselves. This is a business I would love to see thrive for many years. And as they succeed it could offer hope to other businesses or even families. Trenton needed this.
