Is there a term for the ultimate hidden gem? Not only way off the beaten path, but also hidden inside of a gas station. Recommended by a local, not even Yelp would have brought me here. Off the Grill features a mostly Mexican inspired menu, in the middle of the nowhere USA(sorry Allentown). Everything is made fresh to order, as the wonderfully friendly and exuberant shop owner will gladly make known. The tacos come with high praise. But chicken tacos? Usually not exactly my go to for tacos, but I could have chosen a better time to break from the norm. A heap full of Shredded chicken on a warm tortilla, absolutely bursting with flavor. These tacos are nothing short of magical. How something so simple can be so tasty is beyond me. Easily one of the best tacos I have ever had. As far as unconventional, I think I have found my sweet spot. I tried for so many years to fall in love with the food truck movement, but they are overpriced and overrated(there I said it!) Anything ever recommended in a gas station has been undefeated! Off the Grill is an absolute must if you find yourself in the area. read more

Can't talk about the food because we didn't order.. place did not look very clean and the stuff in the deli case looked kind of old. Also did not appreciate some MAGA guys exciting and shouting out " MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN". There is no where to eat here so you have to take it back to your car. Had pork loin cheese here today and a cheeseburger first time eating here. Food was unbelievably delicious. I've been in here a few times to grab gas and people are super friendly, which makes it enjoyable to visit the place. Everybody has a personality and they are nice, and it really makes a difference. Anyway, we went in there at about six 630 and they had no problem cooking us pork roll sandwiches and a cheeseburger, told us they closed at eight. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back. This is the best unknown, well-run place I know of! The owner is so focused on pleasing everyone that comes into his place. They have a multitude of choices of food! If you don't live in the area , get in your car and go try this food spot out asap. It is in the parking lot of the Valero gas station and is making some fresh food. Owner SIM is the head chef and knows what he is doing. Boars head meats , fresh homemade deli salads , fresh homemade sandwiches. The cheesesteak is probably one of the best that I have ever had. It made my top 5 for sure. The tacos are his top seller and don't disappoint. Homemade sauces as well for the tacos. Watch out for the super red hot!! You could not ask for a more friendly and awesome spot to stop and get a quick bite to eat. There is outdoor seating as well so you can enjoy the food fresh. Go check this place out! I love "hidden gems" and, as this was the description of Off the Grill in another post, I had to try it. So glad that I did! I had the Chopped Cheese with fried onions and peppers. It was cheesy perfection served up in a delicious chewy roll. The proportion of meat & cheese to roll was spot-on. As good as the sandwich was, the service was what will make me always remember this spot. The owner exudes kindness and appreciation for his patrons. As I waited several minutes for my sandwich to be freshly made, I witnessed him having meaningful interactions with everyone who entered. Not merely transactions, but moments that make you feel good. As I walked out the door with lunch in hand, I said to my sister, "that may be my new favorite human". You will not regret visiting this hidden gem. read more

We were looking for a place to get a quick casual burger in this area where we could sit outside with our dog. We found this listing on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and the gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly and went out of his way to wipe the table for us, bring out our food and check to make sure everything was ok. First, I have to say the staff here is friendly and accommodating. We love their tacos. At work we often have "Taco Fridays" and most of our office staff orders from their lunch menu. They are just off I-195. They are attached to a Valero gas station so look closely so you don't drive by. read more

Awesome tacos! You get 3 big tacos a drink and chips. They also have Boarshead deli meat and will make you a sandwich if you prefer that over tacos. They have some tables outside if you don't want to eat in your car or takeout. Not a restaurant, takeout place! read more

Staying in town and stopped by here for lunch today. I had the Turkey Sandwich with a side of chips. It was great! From the roll to the meat, everything was very fresh.
