4 pc chicken strips & fries
Laureen Y.

It was ok. The place has a lot of seating area. They offer shakes as well. Its grass-fed beef and halal i believe. We ordered the chicken strips with fries and bacon lovers burger with fries. I loved my chicken strips the crust around it was so nice and crispy and juicy inside but the burger was not great.

Cute place

One word. Yum!!!! We ordered the big Zac and mini Zac in lettuce, and also the hot fries and jalapeño poppers. Excellent quality, good service and great food. We will definitely be back.

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, slaw on side(very good)

So many competing thoughts came to me when I realized that this was the same Zac's that was located briefly in Hamilton a few years back. It was more of a diner concept with breakfasts all day and other entrees. I thought it was ballsy to open a breakfast place literally right across from an IHOP, and tried it with gf and we both enjoyed. Then it disappeared( ironically she did as well:) As I took the short drive to its new location in West Windsor it dawned on me that it was housed in a strip mall I was very well aware of, and had spent a lot of time at in my misspent youth. This mall is completely different now, but thoughts of that specific time were strong. Zacs is now a sandwich shop, and the decor speaks to that. Good inside space but also tables outside, along with a cute park within walking distance. Plenty of options for eating there. I took mine to go, a Nashville hot chicken, fries and a chocolate shake. I asked for the slaw on the side so as not to waterlog the bun. Once home I opened the box to find a perfectly intact brioche roll with a large breast hanging out of it. This was breaded with copious spice and was indeed hot. Still crispy too, and the meat was tender and juicy. The slaw had ranch dressing in it which went nicely, dill pickles and spicy Mayo rounded out the sammy. I enjoyed it very much. The fries were excellent too. The shake was ok, I would have liked for it to be richer in chocolate flavor though. I plan on revisiting again as I work pretty close to it. I'd love to try a burger here in the future too, but it would be hard not to select another poultry offering. Maybe I'll do both and skip the shake!

Cheap. Local. Great service. TIPS: 6 dollar single burger with a VALID STUDENT ID PROMO: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday KIDS EAT FREE after 7 pm (the offer is off for now due to pandemic) Looking for something affordable and pretty much same quality as Five Guys?! Yes, it does exist! Zac's Burger customer service is great with plenty of choices to pick from: vegan burger, fried chicken sandwich, fried Oreos and etc. I would recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. It was delicious! Chicken was truly crispy with awesome pickles, just yum. The fried Oreos are pretty cheap ( I would rate them 7/10) compared to other places out there. The Oreo shake was great as well but not as good as Five Guys for sure (8/10). Overall, If you are on a budget and looking for a great quality burger in the area, you should definitely consider Zac's. Thank you for your time and I hope you find this review helpful. PS There is a park right across Zac's, Nash Park, which I believe a great outdoor area to have a meal (tables on site) and enjoy the moment.

Hot Chicken Sandwich

Two bites into the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I knew this was great. The crunch factor, the sauces, the chicken quality and the overall size of the sandwich was all around well worth it. Its not too hot or spicy as its more on the enjoyable side of spicy rather than the type that makes you hurt. Excited to try the burgers next time!

This place is clean, they make awesome burgers and shakes. The only thing i find is that they are expensive.

Popped in for a quick lunch to-go. Zac's Burger is located at the end of a strip mall, toward the the Shell gas station. When I stepped in, it was pretty quiet. It did not take long for the staff to get my order. I got the single cheeseburger and fries, which came to about $8.50. They will also ask you if you want "everything" on your burger which includes picked, onions, lettuce, tomato, and ketchup. They gave me a buzzer, and it took about 10 minutes for them to buzz me up. The burger is made with high quality ingredients, especially the patty. I liked that the bun: patty ratio was just right - not overwhelming so you have too much bun at the end of your burger, and not too flimsy that everything gets messy. Also I'm a sucker for flavorful, crispy fries - Zac's had my back on that one. I'm impressed with this place and glad that I discovered it. Hope to be back soon!

The wait was only 20 minutes which wasn't bad considering it was super busy and we didn't have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating since we had a baby who needed a little booster chair. For appetizers we had the hot honey chicken bites and the spinach artichoke dip. It came out pretty fast considering how busy it was and of course it was delicious! Surprising the hot honey chicken was pretty spicy which was unexpected but it was good. For main we got the Donatello white pizza and I got the Bacon Swiss burger. The Donatello pizza was really good but the balsamic was a little too heavy I felt like I could only taste the balsamic and nothing else. The burger was really good it wasn't dry at all. The portion was really big I actually had to pack the other half for lunch the next day! Since my birthday was coming up we told our waiter and with our lava cake dessert we got some ice cream and a little candle which was a sweet surprise. Overall this was a great meal and overall experience. Since it was a Thursday night it was very packed and loud inside. I would probably come back on a different day during the week but def would come back.

Country style decor but definitely halal. I saw the menu online and noted that prices seemed a bit steep. Luckily the in-store prices seemed about $1-$2 less, but still kind of high. I ordered the 2 tenders with fries at medium heat, Mac n cheese and a chocolate shake. There was only one other table occupied at lunch time. I waited about 12 minutes for my takeout order. The tenders were the best part of the meal, juicy meat with a light but crispy batter that I was envisioning on bone in skin on parts. I went with medium spice which felt more like spicy to me, I'd probably do mild in the future. The blazin sauce was ok, the ranch was good and helped control the heat. The generous portion of fries were not good. Soggy and salty, I tried to crisp them up in the oven and it helped a little , but way too salty. The Mac and cheese was also a generous portion, but seemed to be a more child friendly(bland) version. Almost like a cheez wiz sauce. I did not like. Lastly the shake was very good. They advertise using Hagen Daz, and it showed. Service was professional but kind of cold. No hello or thank you. I'm still kind of undecided if I'll return. This was an expensive lunch that I wasn't able to eat half of. I am curious to try their smash burger, but at the end of the day prefer to spend my food dollars at places that appreciate my business.

I went for the Flamin Waffle Sandwich at the "hot" spice level, which seemed brave at the time and possibly foolish in retrospect. The chicken itself was quite good. Really. Juicy. Spiced like someone back there still cares about seasoning. The flamin sauce was a pleasant surprise too. Tangy. Spicy. I could hear it saying, "I got you," as it met the chicken. And then came the waffle. It was supposed to be the bread. It was not. It was more of a warm sponge that gave up the moment it was asked to perform a structural task. Fell apart like a wet paperback novel in a monsoon. Possibly edible with a fork if you like your sandwiches like that. I don't. Then there were the fries. Imagine someone steamed them by accident and then whispered to them about what crispness might have felt like in another life. They arrived clumped together in greasy clusters, like they'd survived something traumatic and refused to let go of each other. Sorry, but I generally prefer my sides to not be trauma bound, thank you very much. Eighteen dollars and ninety-nine cents. For that. I wanted to love this place. I wanted to be the guy who discovered the next neighborhood gem. But lunch isn't a metaphor. Lunch is lunch. Three stars because the chicken was good and because I'm not a monster. Be careful with your lunch money.

I would've ordered more food, but we were going to another place and I didn't want to fill up. The staff is very nice here all very friendly and welcoming. There's no children's menu. This place is a bit small so I don't recommend it for young children and it would be difficult for handicapped unless you're able to get a table outside. We will definitely be back.
