Alright, I've ate wings at probably over 500 places at this point in my life, parents went to school in Buffalo, and finding a good to great Buffalo wing is HARD venture this day and age. Absolutely incredible wings here, they're the 1%er of wings. It's not a debate. I see a few complaining about small wings lol. 1. If you're just hungry for chicken go do that, small wings are a way to maximize flavor and that's what Anthony's accomplishes in these perfectly cooked, crisp, flavor packed hot and extra hot (my personal reco but not for faint of heart) wing 2. They have jumbo wings for you non wing knowing hungry eaters that don't get it, so order that before complaining, you're just getting an inferior wing but can enjoy their incredible sauces that way Sorry, I'm a wing snob and I'm riled up at poor reviews from non wing knowers, who are the reason why we as a country are losing ground on good Buffalo wings. They're going extinct because of viewpoints like some of what I see on here. Go to KFC if you're gonna hate, don't bring a good business down (also please note I'm being jestful in tone if you can't parse through, but I'm also serious). Second - really great other options including Buffalo tenders, cheesesteaks are great, some fish options (Buffalo shrimp of course!). But again, for true wing enthusiasts, this is my WING OF THE YEAR for 2023 and beyond. Also very friendly customer service there, clearly good people. Local spot... and a not. Not impressed. I gave three stars for the friendly service, I have got a 15.60 dinner with 8 of the smallest chicken wings I have ever witnessed. I couldn't believe that they sell them as wings and not tiny winglittles, chicklets, or henlettes. Chicken fingers were well-sized, but tasteless. The fries wete good well done with salt. Oh make sure you request blue cheese n celery it's not automatic. Who knew... oh it says it in the upper corner of the menu, not the wall. Ok... not a fan. Perhaps other items on the menu win. It's me again, Brendan from the review that if sorted chronological, should be right below this one. Also my wife wanted to review too so counts as another review. Incredible wings and service. People writing about "small wings" are simply non wing knowers around the proper taste for a buffalo wing. Anthony's accomplishes this and if you want big wings get the jumbo ones, you clearly are more about quenching hunger than finding the perfect wing, which is fine. I know there are a lot of people out there wondering where they can get a REAL buffalo wings in a world where the art of the wing simply seems lost. Well, I'm happy to tell you that not all hope is lost, not all wings clipped, Anthony's is the place. I thank them for persevering through the critics, and I encourage the community to push back on these non wing knowers with both support in the comments and at the cashiers. I was so pumped for a really good wrap - I work so hard for my money - But sadly, this was not worth over $15 (wrap/sauce/can of coke) I knew that it didn't come with anything - However, there was not too much (dry) chicken in the wrap and it looked as if it was slapped together... Got some wings delivered from here today and I really liked the flavor. I do wish I had read the restaurant's description on Yelp because I was definitely surprised by the size of the wings - they really are small! Beforehand, I thought I would be stuffed from my order of 14 wings, but I was definitely still hungry afterwards (and would have ordered more if I had known that the wings would be small). That being said, because the wings were tasty, I would definitely order from here again but would just order a larger number of wings :) read more

We were headed north for a wedding and hopped off the Jersey turnpike for a quick meal in Hightstown, New Jersey. We found Anthony's Chicken and Grill where the wings were tasty, hot, and made with their homemade Buffalo Wing sauce. I got the Jumbo Wings and boy, were they yummy. You could tell from the stream of people picking up food that it was a staple with the locals. The menu selection was large for a small restaurant. My husband got the wings/ribs special with a tasty St. Louis style spare ribs. The wings were smaller but came the same yummy hot sauce. The French fries were deep fried and tasty, not oily. We all kept stealing those fries. Our other diner had their chicken, deep fried and delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were overshadowed by those fries. The Manager set up table and chairs so we could eat outside, even though they had been put up earlier due to possible rain. Food was delivered and they checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Unexpected great service. So, if you are near this town, stop in at Anthony's. I might have to go back when traveling the turnpike for that Hot Wing Sauce. Maybe I'll ask them to sell me a quart. read more

It's basically a double cheeseburger (cooked to your request) smothered in chili. Add to this a generous heap of cajun fries and you're all set to go on your adventure (or lack thereof). Come here for the ribs. They're delicious. The bbq sauce is a perfect blend of tang and spice, the ribs are nice, they're large and meaty - not too fatty, although you will of course get some fat in there. They're ribs, after all! I just tried the buffalo wings which are yummy too. The classic buffalo sauce is sufficiently spicy, even for someone who loves spicy food (I tend to have to split the difference, as my husband has a more sensitive palate). The rotisserie chicken is decent, but not my favorite. The potato skins are also delish. Crisped up, covered with melted chedder and of course, bacon - ya can't go wrong there. Here's the thing, I have nothing to say about the chicken. The chicken is delicious. It's literally the only thing that is worth eating at Anthony's. The macaroni and cheese is tasteless (I promise that I am not even exaggerating. It's TASTELESS). I mean that I had to load on the salt and pepper and I even threw some shredded cheese of my own on it. Mac & cheese isn't difficult to make so I have no clue how it's so bad. Unfortunately the lack of seasoning carries over to the macaroni salad too. It was truly terrible. No flavor at all. What's strange is that it wasn't even mayo flavored. I don't know how it happened. I ordered $70 worth of food for a large family. Imagine the laughter that broke out when I pulled a "Martin's Potato Rolls" bag of rolls out of the bag. Just threw the whole bag into my paper bag of food. Last, (because there's MORE) the french fries were soggy and we threw them away. Only 2 years ago I gave Anthony's a 5 star review. My family and I used to have Anthony's night twice a month when I was younger. I went to high school around here and have eaten more Anthony's than I'd care to admit. It only gets 4 stars because it is a bit on the pricy side, but who am I to argue. I am a guy who loves buffalo anything, and this place delivers in spades. The buffalo chicken fingers are better than I have ever had anywhere else on the planet, and if I was to be put down tommorrow, they would be my last meal. I cannot say enough about them. This review is more about them than the actual restaurant. The perfect size and crispiness of the fingers is the definition of perfection. The way the grease and hot sauce coat the fries and potato roll, which you then dip into the blue cheese dressing is a close second. I'm getting hungry even thinking about it... read more

Excellent steak sandwich as well as chicken. My only suggestion is the menu. Specifically, the menu states "1/2 12 oz steak sandwich" is $11.10. Wasn't sure what I was ordering. Ended up being a full-sized steak sandwich on a hoagie roll. Sandwich quality and portion size were excellent. Instead of saying "1/2 12 oz" I would instead say "full hoagie." I was looking for something healthy to eat. I checked out this place's website. Its menu said "Big Salads," so I decided to give it a shot. The salad was a healthy portion for $10. Although the chicken was cut up small, there was enough of it even at the end of eating. (I hate it when places skim on the meat, and you are left with all lettuce at the end.) It wasn't too bad. You are better off going into shoprite or any local super market paying half of what I paid get double the food that is fresh. This place also does not know the idea of customer service, after I called them and told them the chicken was dry to the point I could not swallow he said they give me "credit towards a future order" rather than offering another dish or simply my money back. He also said "that's how people here like their chicken.... well done'. I was under the impression that chicken is either raw, cooked, or over cooked. Ordered wings from here a couple times, they are amazing. Downfall is the price and the size of the wings and extra charges. I really didn't know chickens could be that small. Also the wing sauce, which is a mix of hot and sweet. There was a little confusion about that when I ordered and the guy was a little rude in explaining as if I should've known. Extra blue cheese, charge, extra tartar sauce charge, extra cocktail sauce charge. For six jumbo shrimp they give you one little packet of sauce. Unbelievably good wings. The buffalo sauce is on the sour and spicy side rather than just straight up spicy. Out of all the buffalo wings I've tried in New Jersey, this places comes closest to the buffalo wings from Anchor Bar/Duff's in Buffalo, NY. The wings taste good even cold. Besides their wings they also make a delicious chicken pot pie. Flaky crust, creamy sauce, full of chicken and vegetables. I work in the area and happened upon this gem by word of mouth a while back. I can't speak for most of the stuff on the menu however the chicken steak sandwiches(cheese, buffalo, cesar, and my fav caliente) , chicken parmesan sandwich, and their salads are phenomenal. I'm also a fan of their fritters, both corn, and apple. Frank who works at the counter is the man, also quick to greet and talk about the news and sports, I always have good interactions with him.
