Local spot... and a not. Not impressed. I gave three stars for the friendly service, I have got a 15.60 dinner with 8 of the smallest chicken wings I have ever witnessed. I couldn't believe that they sell them as wings and not tiny winglittles, chicklets, or henlettes. Chicken fingers were well-sized, but tasteless. The fries wete good well done with salt. Oh make sure you request blue cheese n celery it's not automatic. Who knew... oh it says it in the upper corner of the menu, not the wall. Ok... not a fan. Perhaps other items on the menu win. There's a lot to try.

...over $13 - some dry chicken and tomato inside

I was so pumped for a really good wrap - I work so hard for my money - But sadly, this was not worth over $15 (wrap/sauce/can of coke) I knew that it didn't come with anything - However, there was not too much (dry) chicken in the wrap and it looked as if it was slapped together... Pictured below, is the wrap (over $13 - extra for the sauce - and I added a can of coke)... I was originally going to go to Chicken Holiday, but I wanted to support a local business... Maybe I will try, again, in a few month - I have already given them another chance - But, hey - maybe they will surprise me!

I really enjoyed my cheesesteak today. All the fresh veggies and the warm roll made it extra good. Takeout service was super fast and friendly.

Really bad service and food, more than enough better places around town for better prices too.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

However, they did a great job updating the tables, benches and counter, as well as opening up the diner to allow for additional seating. It still has all the old school charm, yet in an updated more comfortable setting. The Hightstown diner has been a fixture in downtown Hightstown for over 90 years. It's a diner and the food and service fit that description perfectly. The food is solid and reasonably priced diner fare. Service is friendly and efficient. We frequent this place on occasion for breakfast and brunch. I had the chicken panini and it was very good. I've tried a variety of options from omelets, turkey sandwich, to soups all for a reasonable price.

Everything is cold, sterile, and trying way too hard to be trendy instead of just being a good old fashioned train car diner. The prices are ridiculous for what you get, especially considering it used to be a spot where you could grab a solid, affordable meal. Now it's all style over substance, overpriced plates, smaller portions, and none of the comfort or the charm that made it worth going to in the first place. It's disappointing to see a place that once felt local and authentic turn into just another generic, overpriced "modern vibe" spot. Definitely not what it used to be, and honestly not worth it anymore. Long time customer, now going elsewhere. Woodys in Allentown is much better.

There is all your usual stuff that you'd expect to find at any diner. From your sandwiches, omelettes, crepes, typical deserts such as cake and pie, to just about anything else you'd expect to find on a menu for a diner. The service was overall fine but nothing super special but it still is a decent diner to go to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is better to go around dinner time because then they give you complimentary garlic knots which are delicious. And the televisions they have around the diner are also nice to watch too so you don't feel bored. The only major criticisms I have is that there are times when there are tables that are still very dirty rather its from dirty dishes or too much dust lying around the diner. Another criticism is that the deserts maybe dry from sitting in the fridge too long which is disappointing because they look delicious. The final criticism is that it can be noisy too inside when its always busy. But that is expected as that happens anywhere. In the end, its a solid diner to go to. But it's not the best diner out there as there are plenty other better options for food and to hang out.

When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls.
