And delivery was quick and friendly. Points deducted because the ends of bread were crispy and not on a good way. Also deducted points for the mozzarella sticks. The sauce was in a prepackaged individual cup. That's insulting and tragic. The sticks were merely ok, but I've had better from the grocery store. If you can't do it well/right, then don't do it. Bottom line: Definitely would do another Italian sub! The menu has some other interesting sounding sammies, but not sure I want to push my luck. read more

I was starving having been held up at work during my lunch hour with no food. I was driving from one location to another and decided to stop here. I hadn't asked anyone about this place prior to coming here as I was visiting an out-of-state work location. I arrived and looked at the over head menu and decided on the #8 with ham, salami and capicola with provolone cheese. The bread had a great texture and the meats tasted good. As soon as I came in (5:30 PM) there was no one at the counter nor were there any other customers. Someone then came out of the kitchen and asked what I'd like. I replied, "3 whole's and a half sub". I was met with a rude comment that was thinly disguised as humor. " Yo bro! You're killing me here, what are you feeding, an army?!" Uh no, my family, it's dinner time. Then he proceeded to make the sandwiches by cutting the meats while his partner, a kid on his first day was supposed to put on the dressings. The new guy was so slow that he only finished dressing 1 1/2 sandwiches by the time the other guy finished cutting the meat. The new guy didn't even know how to wrap the sandwiches and had to be shown how to do it, he also dumped a ton of salt, pepper and oregano on the subs. While the guy was cutting the meats he saw me looking at the menu board and said, "Whoa bro! You better not be planning to order more subs!" I wasn't. I was just looking, but I replied, "No, just for next time". Only there will never be a next time. After all this the subs had very little meat, the bread was dry and hard at the ends, I had to pay extra for hot peppers and the subs were already way expensive. When you pay they ask for a tip! I only went here because my wife said she wanted Mr. Subs, I usually go to Tastee Subs in Franklin Park, which is far, far superior and cheaper too. My wife and daughter called the subs inedible because of all the pepper that was poured on top. We will never go here again! read more

I have visited this Mr. Subs location many times for lunch. It has quickly surpassed most other sub places in quality of the subs. The bread, meats and veggies are fresh and very good. Mr subs definitely beats all of the typical sub chains. I would recommend the cold super sub. The hot subs are good as well but I think the menu needs some work. I would love to see more "Fat" subs on the menu and maybe some fresh made soups!! read more

I don't know if it's poor quality meats but the kitties was tasteless and dry, the tomatoes definitely were not Jersey tomatoes, and the Peppers were old or just poor quality and the bread was like a supermarket roll. Came in for dinner and missed their busy lunch time rush. They had a 2 for 1 deal that was very reasonably priced. I got their eggplant parm and fat boy(?). I can't remember the name of the second one, but it had shaved steak and lots of fatty toppings. The eggplant parm was quite spectacular with the added grilled onions and peppers. I get that kids need a summer job.. but ever since they hired the new kids the last 2 weekends we have gone has been a disaster. The biggest issue- they were not properly trained. My husband had to tell the kids how to make the salad last week. It was a complete mess. Wasn't even half full. And this week it was just a train wreck from start to finish. Especially in the middle when dressing my sub. I didn't want Mayo on the whole top and when the kid made the mistake ... he took a paper towel to wipe it off. So gross. When you hire new kids, train them properly. Be there with them for a couple weeks. All three new kids out in the front on their own no clue what's going on. I'd eat here very often and even had them cater my parties a couple times. However, I recently came in for lunch and noticed how unkept it has become. The windows look to have ever be touched by a clean towel and disinfectant, the walls, counter tops, floors and omg the tables and chairs have dark grim on them too. I can't imagine what the restrooms look like and or behind the food counter. For a food establishment I except and want the surroundings to be clean. I will probably not eat here anymore, maybe until they do a deep scrub down. read more

One of the best sub shops in the area! They offer so many various combinations of subs and everything seemed fresh. The location seems brand new so it is very clean and kept tidy. IMO, this is a hipper, nicer, cleaner, and friendlier staffed version of Tastee's. They use boar's head meat and cheese, the bread is very soft (which is how I like my sandwich bread), and the ingredients all taste great. I got an Italian sub and my fiance got a cheese sub, we were both supremely pleased with our food! They're half runs 8" (compared to the standard 6"), and whole I think is 14" but I'm not sure since we just got halves. Oh, and they even do hot subs, something Tastee's (in my mind their top competitor and probably what they based themselves off of) does not do.
