    Fettuccine Bolognese. Yummmmmm

I have driven by this place a bunch of times. Finally made it. Interesting place. Different rooms. Makes you feel like you are home. Our waitress was very nice. Bartender came over when we asked about cocktails. Started with the bang bang shrimp. Delicious. I got the fettuccine bolognese. Perfect. This would be 5 stars but the room i sat in was brick and it was kinda loud. Otherwise this was a really good dining experience Forgot to mention the chocolate martini. Dangerously good

Such a good spot! It's such a warm and beautiful place, much bigger than you think! The bruschetta was not my favorite but a huge fan of everything else - the penne vodka and vegetable ravioli with pesto cream was great! The winner tho was the spicy vegetable pizza - super unique and delicious

Quality balsamic vinegar in the herb chicken sandwich ($15). Delicious sautéed onions and peppers help provide the moisture to this sandwich. This is served on a nice crusty Italian bread and covered in a fresh melted mozzarella. So thankful for the team who accommodated my request for onions on the plain pizza. My mom was very happy with this bubbly, thin-crust personal pie ($16). My favorite bite though was The Dark Side of the Moon Chocolate ($10). I don't even really like cake, but having half of this extra dark and rich sweet was so satisfying. I absolutely adore the chocolate crescent moon decoration.

We saw this place while driving by and stopped in. Love the atmosphere outside the restaurant. Open restaurant and they have a lot of space outside . Drink was good. Love the blue moon here on a hot day :) cocktails were good too. Loved the service . Quick service . Food was ok. Quantity was a little less.. chicken wings was good .. veggies and aspharagus were good too, except for the quantity . Overall we liked it . Thumbs up .

Traveled through we had dinner at this cute eatery. Service was friendly and helpful. This tavern has outdoor dining as well as indoor. The wine, the food and the atmosphere was that of an old establishment that locals get to enjoy. I would definitely return if I was a local just for their salad alone. Quick, easy and left satisfied.

Exterior of building is blah but interior is nice. Had ravioli with shrimp and lobster, which was good. Service ok. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Parking lot needs a paving.

After pumpkin picking at Von Thun farms, my friends and I got dinner at La Taverna. We ordered the garlic bread to share and the white bean ravioli, chicken francese, lobster ravioli, and chicken sandwich. The garlic bread was AMAZING and probably the best garlic bread I've ever had despite it being a bit oily. We also got complimentary bread with a pesto olive oil, which was greatly appreciated. My lobster ravioli was less expensive than lobster ravioli at other restaurants and was pretty tasty. However, I feel that the pasta aspect of the ravioli was slightly more chewy/tough than i would have preferred.

I can't wait to see the inside! My only experience at La Taverna so far had been with the outdoor dining situation because of the pandemic. Not only that, I came during torrential downpour. Luckily they had a tent, and the staff were still so lovely and accommodating. It's a nice looking establishment and I'm looking forward to another visit in the future. I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana with a glass of house sauvignon blanc. All the menu items sounded so delicious, especially the half chicken or lamb shank. Next time I'mm come hungrier and get the Burrata as an appetizer!

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

Luca's Ristorante is a hidden gem that proves you should never judge a restaurant by its parking lot. Not long after we were seated, we were greeted by Luca -- a Luca and not the Luca. Still he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about his restaurant, taking the time to walk us through the menu and checking in throughout the meal without ever hovering. Luca's has a partial liquor license, offering a modest wine selection but is otherwise being BYOB. As we were told with a smile, they're much more interested in what's ON your plate than what's IN your glass. We started with two excellent appetizers. The arancini, already a family favorite, were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and disappeared from the table faster than anyone was willing to admit. The Polpette, Luca's signature meatballs with pine nuts and raisins, certainly earned the praise they've received from NJ.com as some of the best in the state. Even if raisins in meatballs sound unusual, trust the process. The restaurant proudly calls itself "A Taste of Ischia," the beautiful volcanic island in the Bay of Naples, and the seafood absolutely lives up to that promise. My squid ink pasta with octopus (the Polypus) was outstanding, with perfectly tender octopus and beautifully balanced flavors. The scallops were buttery, sweet, and cooked to perfection, while the Ischia -- loaded with mussels, clams, and calamari -- was every seafood lover's dream. The rest of the menu proved just as impressive. The Pappardelle, featuring burrata and a rich Bolognese sauce, was a huge hit, while the Romolo, a comforting combination of chicken, pasta, bacon, and sauce, was another winner that had no leftovers to speak of. If you somehow still have room after dinner, Luca's offers a nice assortment of gelato. But do yourself one favor: don't leave without ordering a cappuccino. Rich, foamy, and expertly made, it's the perfect finale to a memorable meal. If you find yourself in Somerset, just a few turns off Routes 287 or 1, make the stop. You'll be greeted by a wonderful staff, treated to outstanding food, and very likely leave wondering how a restaurant this good has been hiding in a strip mall all along.

The area seemed small space wise but there were plenty of tables and it did not feel crammed. I luckily browsed reviews prior to visiting because they do not serve wine or beer but you can BYOB. We brought a bottle with us to open at the table. I do not recall being charged a corkage fee. Since I was craving pizza, hubs was also game, so we went with a large pie, with half pepperoni for hubs. We also ordered garlic knots, hoping they would be real knots instead of rolls. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was fresh. I was disappointed though because there was so much sauce on the pizza but hubs was happy since he loves extra sauce. I didn't think to ask for light sauce because there usually is not a lot of sauce on pizza up north but I learned my lesson. Hubs thought the pizza was good. The knots were rolls so I was disappointed on that aspect as well. We were in the area for a training Hubs had to attend and he had this place for lunch one day and said it was also good. The service was great and the food was okay, I would just ask for light sauce next time.

Meals start off with complimentary bread (5/5) made from pizza dough which was served warm and tasted delicious. We ordered garlic knots (4.5/5) which had a good texture and the right amount of garlic taste without being too overpowering. We ordered an eggplant rollatini (5/5), large cheese pizza (4.25/5), penne vodka (4.25/5), and chicken parm (4.5/5). The pizza had just the perfect balance with great tasting cheese, crust, and sauce, and while it probably won't win any awards, it was well above the average given the fierce competition among the central New Jersey pizzerias. Usually there's at least one weak point when trying a variety of food at a pizzeria/Italian restaurant, but everything we tried was enjoyable and our service (5/5) was excellent, I don't mind rounding my overall rating to a 5. I'll definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate recommending Giuseppe's to others. I love places like this that set the bar a little higher for pizza and Italian food.
