It's an alright place. For what it is marketed as, it met beliefs, however, how I remembered this place, when it was Dacey's was much better. Dacey's had a mix of pub food and high-end meals, the new establishment seems to focus more on the pub food side. It is now Fireside Tavern and Table. I'd give the wings a thumbs up, the Chili was excellent, the only major drawback with our food was the medium-rare burgers were over cooked. The waitress was nice and helpful. Pricing was extremely fair and if you are looking for middle of the road pub food, a fantastic bang for your buck! read more

I always enjoyed Dacey's and went there fairly often. The food selection was great, the staff was always fun, pleasant and efficient, and you could depend on good value for the money spent. I am not sure what happened now that it is Fireside, but I will not be going back there. I went last night to meet with friends and had 3 drinks on the rocks. They charged me $3.00 extra for each of 3 drinks for ice. I questioned our server and she took me to the bar manager who assured me this is correct. Please check your bill to see what other extras they may be adding on. They can keep the $40.00 I spent for 3 drinks, but I will not spend another dime there. read more

Definitely a dive bar by looks but the food is not. Big portions and very reasonably priced. Nice diversity of food choices. Not too many choices for a healthy eater. They have live music. It's a small bar and load but does have a dining room side which may be quieter if needed. Service was good. We never had to wait for a refill and the food came out quickly. read more

Different Cheesesteak #1203. This is why I love my Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure!! I would never have gone to Dacey's Pub on my own accord, but I am glad I did. It is a great neighborhood sports bar. They had several different games on TV. I had a nice chat with the guys next to me at the bar about a cheesesteak adventure they had taken. The Cheesesteak, $13.50. You know I love that. It came with chips and a pickle. It had that 'we have been using the same grill for 30 years' taste. The roll was softer than I typically like. The fried onions were bigger than I typically like. Could have used more cheese. At the end of the day, everything worked very well together. My family and I have ordered take out from Daceys a few times. We found out about this place from word of mouth and truthfully if it wasn't for word of mouth I would've never known about this place and driving by would've never give it a chance. Which is super foolish of me because I bartend ( and serve) and I love bartending in "dive" bars. They have the best customers and always the best food!! ... and of course; Daceys has A M A Z I N G food. My entire family has loved everything we've gotten from there. We have gotten a mixture of items too: except me, I'm boring and have gotten the same thing each time- Traditional wings, crispy, hot sauce on the side and French Onion soup. Which listen, FO soup to go is whack, I know BUT I am a FO soup LOVER. I could eat that soup all day, everyday, and all year long. Daceys FO soup even TOGO is BOMBBBBBB/ HEAVENLY delicious. I can only imagine how good their soup is in house eating at their establishment. Unfortunately, I have three kids, I don't enjoy eating out like I use too at least not with all three kids. I HIGHLY recommend you try this place- don't drive by and think it's a "dive" bc it is small and easily missed but that place will blow your taste buds away. I can't speak on bartenders, servers or even the employees/staff because I have always gotten to go and I have only picked up twice ( my husband has picked up the other times) but the two times I did pick my Togo up the girls behind the bar were attentive, beautiful and welcoming. Sorry Folks, this trip to Dacey's was bad. FOOD was Great as usual. Service Major sucked. hour and a half for a burger and diet soda under 15 bucks and waitress burned me for a 33% tip. I walked in and sat. Bar Mgr came over took my drink order and returned quickly with Menu. I waited and Waited and Waited. Finally got Mgrs. attention with a palms up gesture. Waitress took order and delivered food promptly, she stopped and asked how it was twice. I waited and waited and waited for the check, It came to $15.00 and I placed a 20 in the sleeve and figured a %20 tip. Waited and waited and waited for her to pick up the check, she finally did and disappeared. After waiting about 10 minutes I finally saw her pick up other orders and delivered them. She never came back with change. I was sooo pissed I knew I would cause a scene so I stormed out. This place has super good burgers and great wings but is a little bit of a trip to go there. This is usually a special treat for me to drive there BUT it might not happen again for a long while. I do not want to drive there and see that it is the same waitress and leave. Total bummer for a Friday Nite Treat when wife is away. The Pub was busy but not mobbed. Waitress does not seem to know how to multi-task. After coming to this place for 10 years we won't be back. This has no reflection on the bartenders, servers or the cook ( a true master). But on the behavior of the owner last Sunday while my husband and I (Eagle fans) and our friends (one a Giants fan) sat at a table. While watching the game and eating our food the owner sat at the bar and threw slurs (Cockroaches in the building) about our Giant fan. The banter exchange started in fun then turned very sour. So sour were the remarks from the owner that he had the server hand us our check and threw us out. We paid the bill after receiving a few more slurs from the owner. A place we felt was welcoming and enjoyable will no longer be on our list. By the way, we are senior citizens. How about that for respect! read more

This hurts to even tell you about this experience since I love this place but here goes. I ordered take out yesterday: 36 wings hot and crispy with a side of French fries. The woman was nice, she said she didn't need my name and it would take 30 minutes. I arrive 35 minutes after I called and stood st the bar waiting to be acknowledged. After staring at the elder woman behind the bar we met eyes and said I was here for pick up. She said nothing and came back and curtly said it was not ready. No eta or it will be right out. A minute later she breaks a glass and complains. Still, I was fine that's not a problem. Ten minutes pass and the second bar tender inquires about my needs. I told her and she explained give it about five minutes and it'll be out. We're coming up to almost an hour and she comes out with the bag that looked very small and a check that read around $9. As I read the total she said six wings and fries...? I stated no it was 36 with a puzzled look. She told me oh well she rang in 6 staring blankly at me. I was irritated and asked how long would the other 30 take and she told me 15 minutes! (Basically six wings and a fry take 50 minutes but 30 wings take 15 if my math is correct) I told her that's okay I'm going to go somewhere else and she said sorry and nothing else. No compensation of my time, no please sit down let me grab you guys drinks so you can eat what is made and the rest of the order is on us. Not a darn thing was done. Horrific customer service. I will start out saying the food was very good. But, it took about 45 minutes to get our food. Oh, and it was so loud, that we couldn't wait to leave. Reason being, the room was small and there were about 50 people in it. If it wasn't for the those two reasons, we would come back. Dacey's Pub (aka Dacey's Irish Pub) is a fascinating place. The location is right out of a Kafka novel. The railroad tracks across the street are a massive wall of gray trap rock and high fences. Not a blade of grass grows, nor tree casts a shadow. Viewing that while walking to the entrance can be oppressive and other worldly. Yet, once inside I was enveloped in a dark mystique of long bar, high top tables, and rear kitchen window. The rows of silently glistening bottles offer respite from the harsh glare outside. I slid onto a stool at the bar to await service and allowed the aura of the place to settle on me. Felt good. There's something going on at Dacey's, and I would figure it out. The bartender came up to take my drink order and hand over a menu. First timer, I needed a few minutes to reconnoiter the offerings. This was lunch so Redd's would have to do. The special of the day was Guinness Fish and Chips @ $6.95. Although I considered a burger, I was intrigued by what was "Guinness" about the meal. Turns out, not much. The basket was delivered with a nice load of chips (fries) and two frozen to deep fry breaded fish fillets, and a choice of tartar sauce and/or malt vinegar. I took both, as I sort of like my chips with tartar sauce over ketchup. It did not seem that the fish had been dipped in Guinness before frying, which had been my expectation. They were okay, but not more. The chips were actually a bit dry. So, I would not order that again. Yet, the dudes at the table close by had saddled up to huge burgers and pints of suds, and were elbow deep in their meals and conversation. That was the way to go, and will certainly be the next approach for me. I felt like starting over and joining these guys, but thought better of it considering the time. Walking back into the sunlight the prison escarpment across the road again stood a menacing presence. I realized that Dacey's was the sentinel protecting the rest of us from whatever evils lurked behind that barbed wire, and the patrons and staff the soldiers on the wall. read more

The bacon wrapped scallops were perfectly cooked. I enjoyed a veggie burger and my husband had a landfill burger. Everything was cooked very well and had a lot of flavor. Morrisville is a town directly opposite Trenton, New Jersey. It is blessed with some good down to earth eateries. It is home to the wonderful Actor's Net theater, just steps from the Calhoun St. Bridge. It also boasts Summerseat, the historic home of Thomas Barclay and later, Robert Morris (namesake of Morrisville and a signer of the Declaration of Independence), and brief headquarters of General George Washington in mid-December of 1776. West Philadelphia Avenue, literally on the other side of the tracks from these other notable places, is a remarkably bleak side road facing the foundation that supports the railroad bed. The appearance of a welcoming pub across the street brings some much needed cheer to the landscape. The night we decided to give Dacey's a go, the joint was hopping and almost all of the tables were full. Sold on the idea of ordering a burger after reading so many good comments about them, we zeroed in on that section of the menu. The Trenton Takes burger sounded scandalous, and was mentioned as a favorite by one Yelper, so I went for the high calorie splurge. The topping is pork roll and cheese (cheddar was my selection). An extra $2.50 turned it into a platter with french fries and coleslaw. I ordered the burger medium rare. The order arrived. Fries OK, pickle OK, coleslaw quite good (not sweet - yay). Cheese and pork roll, nice thick slices. Burger...oh, sigh, no pink. At all. It was a dense mouthful of meat that has had most of its sanguinity extinguished, yet the sandwich was partially redeemed by the pork roll, cheese, and buttery bun. Other than that, I could tell it had the potential to be more enjoyable, if only it were tortured a little less. Service was adequate, but our server was not particularly upbeat. We noticed a specials board on the far wall (after we ordered) that included an Irish specialty of bangers and mash. Ah well, another time. Perhaps it would help sell those specials if the servers would mention their availability. First thing odd was the Yuengling keg kicked and no replacement. Kind of odd. Who doesn't have another Yuengling keg? Got wings and loaded fries. Wings were great - good temp and crispyness. They used to have the best homemade salsa but i don't know if that's the case anymore. Onion Soup is awesome. Service is usually very good. Last few times I've been caught between a few local contractors who feel the need to be as loud as possible talking about nothing at all. Like any place, it can get loud. And we weren't the only table suffering - a kids' birthday party at the table next to us was basically wrecked because guests had to leave before their food got there.
