Finally got to Pastrami Express. First impressions, small, but clean. While I was there, multiple patrons made comments about how great their food was. I met the owners and they are two very friendly people. Onto the food. Every review I read about how lean and juicy their pastrami could not be closer to the truth. first time trying this little gem. got tired of traveling from merrick to get some type of jewish deli, hated pastrami king which recently closed and lido deli seems to have changed for the worse since it went through its last remodel. well we were in the mood for some pastrami and the likes. this place didnt disappoint small and warm feeling, few tables taken the waitress/hostess do everything sweet woman says sit where ever you like. we sit in booth and greeted with menus. we each ordered an meal. while waiting for the meal we had the customary dr browns soda as well as deeelish Cole slaw wiht full plate of sour and half sour pickles that had terrific crunch and snap. wife ordered whole wheat wrap of roasted turkey wiht lettuce tomato and Russian . the wrap was not over stuffed more quality vs quantity like other establishments ,. she says the turkey was moist and well cooke the tomatoes were fresh and plenty . she loved it my daughter ordered straight up pastrami on rye, again the sandwich was moderate in thickness but the pastrami was one of the best she ever had not fatty , hot and seasoned perfectly, the bread was little thicker then normal and soft and fresh. exactly what she was in the mood for. I asked for something off the menu, asked for wrap of pastrami and corn beef together with lettuce tomato and coleslaw with Russian , it was perfect blend of meat and tastiness that was excellent. we also shared a plate of fresh cut , freshly fried to order fries that the best way I can describe is old school Nathans type fries only missing the red old school fork. we truly enjoyed our first time here and no doubt will be our go to place for when we get that jewish type deli well done pastrami express sorry it took me too long to get there . read more

It is hard to find a good quality deli these days, yet there is one hiding in my own back yard. Pastrami Express takes you back to the days of welcoming you with open arms. A smile and a warm hello. I have drove by this place a few times before I finally was able to go and I'm glad I was able to. The pastrami Reuben was good. I could not eat the whole thing and brought half of it home to later. Best food!! NICEST OWNERS!! Unless I'm dining at Katz's deli in NYC, I am unimpressed with pastrami. But recently I found Pastrami Express in Seaford. To start, we were greeted warmly and served promptly with our take-out order. When I given a sample of the pastrami, I was surprised at how delicious it was: tender, juicy and very tasty - every bit as good as Katz's. Wow!! But I was most impressed with the people. I'm sorry I've forgotten their names, but the male owner was wonderful - friendly and gracious. His wife makes the very best cheesecake I've ever had, and I've had some winners! Ok- maybe 5 stars for pastrami sandwiches which my husband and son loved, but no stars for the roast turkey entree. It's deli sliced turkey, not roasted off the bone. Not allowed to change the potato for kasha or egg barley which all the other local delis do. So I opted for mashed potatoes. All they did was scoop a baked potato out of its skin- no margarine, no salt and pepper. Ugh. Coleslaw, didn't seem homemade like other delis. Potato pancakes were a greasy mess.
