What a dump!!--Tables were dirty--so we sat down and asked the server to wipe it down--well we were scolded for not sitting at one of the clean tables---No menus or silverware---and asked if we were ready to order. a small plate of cole slaw was placed in front of us (not barely enough for one...let alone the two of us)...with a few "slices of pickle," mind you not whole pickles!!!---Well, we looked around and saw the limited menu, the uncleanliness of the small store (shmutz)--and up and out we went!!! A tiny gem of a kosher style deli without the obnoxious waiters. Yesterday our 22-year-old grandson was over our house for a visit. He mentioned he was going to the Pastrami King for dinner. I told him I had read a rave review for Pastrami Express and suggested he give it a try. He did and then called us to let us know it was delicious. My wife and I went there today to try it out ourselves. So glad we did. It's a very small storefront on Merrick Rd. that looks like it had been either a pizzeria or a Chinese Take-out in an earlier incarnation. The place is immaculate, the staff is extremely friendly and the pastrami is fanfriggintastic. They start you off with a complimentary bowl of cole slaw and pickles while our order was being prepared. I ordered one of their homemade round potato knishes that was a meal by itself. read more

I'd love to give them five stars, but I've only been there once. That said, I wanna go back tout suite! It's not much to look at, and the prices seem a bit high, but my meal was tasty. Had a chicken caesar salad, husband had (what else) a burger and fries. The large portion of chicken breast on my salad was very well-seasoned and fresh off the flat-top. The lettuce was crisp and well-dressed (dressing was homemade, I could tell). Happily, they used enough dressing to coat, but not enough to drown. Like the other reviews said, the pastrami (the best ever!) and the corned beef literally melt in your mouth! The people that own and work there are just so welcoming and lovely. Our first time there was last week and we did takeout... one pastrami sandwich, one corned beef sandwich and the owner threw in some of the best homemade coleslaw I've ever had and great pickles. We feasted! The sandwiches were piled high with hot meat and tasty mustard. The rye bread was so good! Everything is made in the kitchens. I took a menu with me and cannot wait to go and dine in the small restaurant. A family was being served when we picked up our food and the platters of pierogies, potato pancakes and sandwiches looked amazing! I will go back and try it all! What a gem on Long Island! It's a narrow storefront at 3882 Merrick Road in Seaford, so use your GPS so you don't miss it. This deli restaurant, while not big in size, is huge on quality. I've eaten a lot of pastrami sandwiches in my lifetime, but this was the best. You don't even have to specify lean, because the meat has very little fat, yet is super tender and flavorful. My wife and I each had pastrami on rye, that comes with cole slaw and pickles. We also had an amazingly delicious homemade potato knish. The service was warm and attentive. Ordered for delivery. Grub hub said about an hour and a half but they arrived within a half hour so that was awesome. I ordered the stuffed derma which came with brown gravy. I've never had derma but I was really pleased with it. Also ordered latkes, pastrami sandwich on club bread, matzo ball soup and a turkey club wrap. The pastrami was amazing, needa order it for myself next time. The turkey club was awesome but I wish there was more lettuce and tomato in it. They couldn't have been more professional in working with me to make this happen (especially Annie). After all the talk about what I wanted sent and their recommendations, it got done. We have had pastrami and corned beef sandwiches on both rye bread and club. The food is always very tasty and fresh. The latkes and knichs are very fresh and tasty. It is a husband and wife operation, who arr friendly and accommodating. Parking in the back is no problem. For dining in, its a small restaurant but I have never found it too crowded. read more

Stumbled across this gem on a whim and glad we did. Has a very extensive menu with many items, meals sandwiches, sides etc.... we went old school and had a lean corned beef and knish, pickles and cole slaw also come with the meal.
