This place is huge! This place has every food item you can think of! I came here for the first time months ago and tried the chicken noodle soup. I was absolutely in love! Since then I have returned back twice and no longer seem to find that soup. Which is unfortunate. I did try to branch out and try out the different items by the deli counter. They were good but I need more seasoning than what was given and I'm not talking about spicy lol overall service was great. The store is very impressive. My husband and I frequently shop the Port Washington and East Meadow location. This location is the "nicest" as far as selection and store size compared to the other two. What I wasn't expecting was a difference in taste. I assumed everything came from an Uncle Giuseppe's outside kitchen, but now I'm wondering are the things made in store because everything except the raviolis tasted VERY different here. The jalapeño party dip, spinach and artichoke dip, and the vodka sauce ..... don't get me started on that sauce... it was awful. When I was younger my little brother liked spaghetti-o's and that is exactly what it reminded me of... it was seriously inedible to my family.. not including my little brother haha. Funny thing is I like the sauce from the other locations, but this one was so bad. The stuffed mushrooms were completely tasteless, but I buy them from the other two locations weekly and they're always good. Today I made the mistake of purchasing $29.00 a pound of what was supposed to be Dry Day Boat scallops. I am no Gordon Ramsey but I can tell when I have been duped. The scallops were small which should have been my first clue. I made sure the were dry and my Ramsey meter went off an it said these at best are thawed and not the Dry Boat I paid for . The scallops were spitting while being cooked and i knew they were crap. attached is a picture of this garbage . Along with this I bought the last slice of Icelandic Flounder I was told it was not frozen, I think they mean now that horrible fish was 24.00 a pound, my suggestion is avoid the fish at this place. Last weekend, I was visited family in the area and stepped out to grab lunch and some sweet treats. I got a hero and macarons and a brownie pop. The volcano sandwich was insanely good and my cousin seemed to like the brownie pop. I tried the French macarons and they were genuinely the worst ones I've ever had. I didn't even get through one. It's was stale and sour. Frustrated because they were so expensive, I called the next day asking if anything could be done. Long story short, the employees remedied the situation without any problems. I was so thankful!! I ended up getting another sandwich which was also fantastic. Long story short, I very impressed with the customer service and fresh foods. The sandwiches are to die for. I'm probably going to steer clear of the bakery counter though lol. read more

I'm a big fan of this store and the food there and have been a loyal patron but here is my issue . It's July 4th and the wife and I stopped there to grab a few things to bbq and some salads as well - wife asked what time were they closing and was told 9pm and my reaction was WHAT - we were standing at the deli counter with other customers and honestly everyone was kinda shocked- it's the 4th of July and nobody is coming in after 6pm at the latest and where's the owners who've obviously set these store hours -Honestly this is a garbage way to treat people so i guess it's time to go back to salpinos who were closed btw. Been shopping here since the day they opened literally, and can't believe I have to leave a bad review. The thing that "made" Uncle G's so good is they have everything in stock and everything is fresh and tastes good. I even stuck up for them against the union guys busting their chops. Fast forward to 2025 and sadly the meat department has turned to absolute crap. Did they hire Union butchers recently? When there's a sale in meat dept you have no chance getting that sale item. No stock. The reliable 10-packs of burgers you used to easily get no problem now I go there around 730pm and there's 2 rancid packs left of burger patties. I notified the butcher who was wondering around straightening the meager selection left and even noticed the gray meat containers and just left them out. I would've fired him on the spot if that was my supermarket. I've never seen such lazy apathetic butchers at a supermarket before. You're charging $9.99/lb on top of it and can't keep them in stock? I doubt you're selling that much more at that price where you can't keep burger patties in stock (one of the biggest things Uncle g is known for). Besides being lazy, the butchers are shady as heck too. I went to get a steak deal before july 4th and they had 1 family pack behind the counter in the glass that I asked to buy and they wouldn't sell it to me. tf are you kidding me?? They told me it might be reserved for one of the workers or managers or some ridiculous bs. Another reason I know the whole store is going downhill is I got bad macaroni salad for the 1st time in my life here. Literal garbage, overcooked mush. I returned it that's how bad it was and the lady behind the counter who looked like owner or manager copped an attitude. Well if it was $5 bucks I wouldn't bother but you're charging $13 for a container of salad so yeah. Sad to say I won't be coming back here much anymore. Already found better meat store replacements at better prices than Uncle G. You had a good run though! read more

My husband and I moved to Seaford during covid. During this time we tried going to Uncle G's and there was a line wrapped around the building to get in! We said "no thanks" and did all of our shopping at either Shop Rite or StopNShop. Four long years passed before giving Uncle G's another shot. That line really gave us PTSD... I'm so happy we finally tried this place. They have everything but the kitchen sink. Cut to- sinks in aisle 7. The best part was Justin, the helpful cashier who signed us up for rewards! Wow. Wow. And Wow. This place is a visual feast for the eyes... okay, and the palate too (of course). Even if you're a confirmed hater of Italian food (but who would be), you'd come out of here completely reformed and changed. They have a prepared foods section that is unbelievable. Their pasta is made fresh, same with sauces, and varieties of each that you wouldn't believe. Frankly, I think a place like Eataly stole from Uncle Giuseppe's, and I also think that Uncle Giuseppe's has MORE to offer than even Eataly !! All I know is that I'm super impressed. I've had their manicotti, and OMG, the pasta was so soft and fresh. Sauce and cheese sublime. I've also tried another pasta, forget which one, but it was along the lines of fettuccine, and we also tried one of their prepared salads. It had spinach, cooked butternut squash and some kind of cheese in a light dressing... very good. I wish I could say I've had more. Truth be told, I'm not in NY too often, so I'm very sad that my visits to this store will be limited to my visits to NY, boo-hoo, but my daughter and son-in-law love this place, so I'm sure we'll go again when I'm in town. From the moment I was greeted by Aimida Flores in the catering department to the delivery of the food for my mother's 91st birthday party, my experience with Uncle Giuseppe's was excellent. I really appreciated Aimida answering all my questions and taking her time with me while I placed my order. The two delivery people, Sofia and Dan, were friendly and thorough. I ordered the premium buffet for 70 guests plus a few extra trays of food. I also ordered a full sheet cake which was as beautiful as it was delicious. Aimida called me the morning of the party to ask if I wanted to have the coffee delivered later than the food in a separate trip so it would still be hot when served. We only ended up with 60 people, so our guests were happy to take home leftovers in containers we brought for that purpose. I've been dying to check out an Uncle Giuseppe's and luckily passed by one on my way back from Jones Beach. The Massapequa location has a fairly large parking lot and shares the space on a strip mall. The interior does feel a little like a dated Key Foods and it lacks the zhuzh from Eataly, but I can definitely see myself coming regularly to pick up their fresh pastas, which were very reasonably priced. I picked up a box of pastina (which are pretty hard to find these days), some spinach ricotta ravioli (these were delicious), and some stuffed shells (these I liked a little less because the ricotta was a little chalky), as well as a pound of their imported proscuitto (definitely would not recommend; it had a strange taste and I hated that they used wax paper) and it all came out to a little under $50. Overall, not a bad deal and it was definitely fun to browse the aisles and the ready-to-eat section. read more

Very flimsy plastic pint of marinated mozzarella popped open on way home coating EVERYTHING I bought in oil, including the floor and table. Luke, who helped me with the order was beyond kind, patient and caring, The food was incredibly delicious and presentation beyond compare. The barbecue package, the wraps, the hero and salads were so inviting and delicious and were all set up on my table by a gracious employee. I asked very specifically for the cake to be inscribed and decorated and it was exactly what I had hoped for. While I didn't really have a chance to browse their aisles, I did find their rainbow cookie cake online for my in laws birthday. Since the closest Eataly is only in Manhattan, one of our local go-to Italian markets is Uncle Giuseppe's. With two locations in Nassau County, I usually prefer going to this location since the East Meadow one has a smaller lot. It has the usual bells and whistles of a market with various groceries, deli counter, gourmet cheeses, fresh pasta, sauce and baked goods. What is neat is they usually have samples of some of the cheeses out to try. There was a cheese with truffles that tasted amazing. Their fresh made fresh mozzarella is probably the best I've had from a grocery market. It is a little more pricey than most stores, but the quality is worth the extra dollars. The deli counter has lots of fresh made grab and go meals to order and priced by the pound. One of my favorites is the shrimp salad. I usually try to wait for a sale to get most of my deli items if i really want something there since it can get pricey depending on the item. My fiance is also a huge fan of the baked goods, having a sweet tooth. He loves the fresh pipped cannolis. They pipe the cannoli made to order, so the crunchy cannoli shell doesn't get soggy. They also have the cannoli chip and dip available to purchase which is great for parties. Before heading over, its always a good idea to check the weekly ad for sale specials.
