The comments here are SO misleading that i feel the people who work there must have been skewing the rating. This place was mediocre on arrival. and only got worse from there.
"Please wait to be seated"
You can see into the kitchen/back area from the door, what we were greeted with was 3-4 waitresses standing and talking not paying attention to the door. I Literally had to do the so awkward cough/super loud clearing of my throat for them to turn around and realize we were there. Upon entry to the dinning area there were only 4 tables seated with people, a few of the empty tables were still not cleared and the hostess/waitress tried to seat us at one of said dirty tables. We finally sat at a comfortable two person table. The decor is alright but our menus were dirty and one of them was missing a page. Then the 2-3 waitresses that came to our table continued to comment that we should want a bigger booth. I don't know why they kept trying to move us, i must have said our table was fine like 5 times. We did not get to hear the dinner specials until after we received our food and only because we overheard them from the next table. My husband was fairly disappointed because the specials were something he definitely would have ordered and at this point he was very unhappy with what he ordered. He ordered some seafood spaghetti plate that had shrimp in it. While the portion was HUGE it did not make up for the fact that it wasn't appetizing. He ate a few spoonfuls and threw in the towel.
I ordered the Smoked Salmon Pizza it was ok, you couldn't tell there was salmon in it though. On the menu it listed chives on the pizza but there was none, there was bits of chives decorating the plate though. Would have been nice to actually be on the pizza since it was listed. I ate 3 small slices of my pizza and took the rest to
go. Half way home (we live 20-30min out of Langley) i was hit with the worst indigestion i have ever experienced, i took some Pepto-Bismol before bed thinking it would take care of it but it came on like a fire in a haystack instead. I couldn't sleep because of the pain it caused me. At 1:30am i gave up on sleeping and decided to just get up because my tossing and turning was keeping my husband awake. I finally took more pepto and some tylenol and drank ginger tea which seems to finally have made the worst of it go away. I wasn't able to get back to sleep until 5am, 1 hour before i had to get up for work.
But i digress.
We ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks which were straight from a box you can buy at the store but they were fine none the less.
They give you bread and marinara (?) sauce while you wait for your food but the bread and sauce were both really cold and unappetizing. The sauce was way too salty as well.
The waitresses were nice.
Overall, definitely not a good experience and we won't go there again. read more
