Took a new employee out for lunch. Our server, Joel, was very unfriendly. Had the attitude like he did not want to work there and like every client is a major burden to him. Did not know the menu at all ... did not even what was included in OSF's " Everything Included ". When we got our two cups of coffee & tea, he did not bother to bring us enough sugar and cream. Did not even check on us throughout our meal. Did not even bother to ask if we wanted a free refill on our pop. When we got our ice-cream, he simply threw down the ice-cream bowls and left. Didn't even bother to realize we did not have any spoons to eat the ice-cream. Then he vanished ... we had to wait like 5 mins to wave down another waitress to bring us some spoon. read more

This Langley Italian food restaurant is huge!! We walked in on a Sunday evening and had to wait 20 minutes for our table. They managed the crazy crowd very well. Food was good but we found our pastas a tad bit dry. We asked for extra sauce and it was so good! Pesto based pasta was the best. So so delicious. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Always blows me away how consistent and flavourful Spaghetti Factory is...Rich savoury Minestrone soup followed by creamy Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo! Al dente egg and spinach pasta smothered in a blanket of cream and parmesan cheese with perfectly cooked bay scallops,plump clams and button mushrooms!So simple but even easier to mess up. This was our second time eating here this year as it had been about 6-7 years since I last tried it. The service is GREAT and the pasta is ooooh soooo good! This restaurant is definitely one of the better options for large groups and children. We stopped for for dinner just before the new COVID restrictions on groups take in effect. We were a group of seven with two young children. The restaurant was busy. Unfortunately, despite our request to serve the children first, our server seemed overwhelmed. The children's juice and entrees arrived before the rest of the orders. However, when we asked for the children's ice cream, she decided to serve everyone's dessert, tea and coffee at the same time. One child cried twice - first for the entree because he was hungry and second time for the ice cream taking too long to arrive. A toddler just does not understand that the restaurant is busy. Our server also forgot to refill the coffee when we asked and needed a reminder. This restaurant is a great budget friendly option. Bread, soup/salad, entree, dessert and tea/coffee are included in the price. Most entrees are under $20. COVID precautions were in place. Staff scanned vaccine passport. Staff wore face masks. We held a bridal shower here late Saturday afternoon. I know, on the cusp of prime time seating! Very good service from all servers, and we had four generations of family and extended family in our group. Beverages served all at once including for our littlest one, which we really appreciated. Food order taken and delivered with acknowledgment of our table interactions-a couple of games to celebrate our bride. Food overall was good, but pastas were dry. Lasagna was meaty and saucy, salads large and with varied greens and veg. So much bread! Everyone ate well, and the ice cream dessert was welcome on a hot day. went there Jan 1 , good hostess, and also a good waitress, but I noticed the clam chowder was small in the bowl when we got our bread for some reason it was rockhard so I talked to the 18 year-old manager. She apologized and got us new bread. Then we got another loaf of bread that was also was hard as a rock , why didn't the manager put an effort into it instead of apologizing as this happened twice sent an email to Head Office and Chris was also working I noticed he didn't seem to care we sent him an email he asked her detail, I mentioned to him read the email it's all there he never got back to us so in future, we will never return as a family. There's lots of places to eat in Langley. It's sad that he's lost another customer. read more

If you have tried planning to organize big group dinners like myself, you know that it's not easy finding places that can seat large groups of 12 or more together. 3. The service is good and it is good in my opinion because the staff knows the menu, they often carry on with a smile (even if they need to sing a birthday celebrant a song!) and it is consistent with each visit at various locations. This was one of the better places for my wallet where I had dinner at during my travels through this area. The Langley location is right off Hwy 1, next door to the White Spot and across from the Colossus IMAX cineplex. I was reluctant to have dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory since I had a "not so good" experience at a US location (Duarte, CA) a few years ago. I got sick there and the service was not stellar. The US locations are typically in an old schoolhouse. I strolled in here for an early evening dinner recently and was seated immediately. The restaurant has a bar area with TV in the front and ample booth and table seating throughout the place, high ceilings with exposed vent pipes, exposed brick walls, and plenty of stained glass. The menu (thin paper) offers typical Italian American fare including plenty of spaghetti/pasta dishes with several different sauces offered. What is great about The Old Spaghetti Factory, is that the dinner entrees include sourdough bread with whipped butter, salad or soup, coffee or tea, and dessert (spumoni) for one "it's all included" price. I had The Manager's Favourite ($10.95) which is spaghetti with choice of any two sauces. The bread loaf was warm and the garlic butter was decent. The minestrone soup was decent too. The entree, half & half of mushroom sauce & white clam sauce over al dente spaghetti was very good and tasty. The dessert was a small scoop of refreshing ice cream. The service was pretty good and attentive. I got refills on ice water, refills on cups of coffee, additional bread & butter, and my food came out quickly. Went for lunch with my aunt and my 2 year old son. The service has definitely gone downhill. I paid for an overpriced chicken parmesan that tasted like a frozen dinner entrée. My son's kids meal took forever to arrive, our meals arrived first. Drinks were never re-filled. Food was not checked up on. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. I ended up walking out without using it. I used to have fond memories of the OSF with my family growing up and was hoping my son would have the same but it doesn't seem like he will based on our experience here. read more

Even though it is usually busy you can still manage to have conversation without having to speak too loud. Love the endless free bread and the garlic butter puts it over the top. I like that your meal includes a starter and dessert. Can't go wrong with the clam chowder and spumoni ice cream, which i haven't come across anywhere else. This has been a go to location for our family for quite some time. We've recently gone back after Covid protocols were relaxed. Unfortunately it has not improved in the interim. They no longer have my favorite dish which was the chorizo penne. For some reason it has also become more noisy. As you can tell by the name there's a lot of pasta on the menu, but if you're watching your carbs or hate pasta and were dragging unwillingly into this restaurant you still have loads of options. I went with the 8 ounce New York steak (medium rare) with mushrooms, spaghetti and spicy meat sauce for $16.75. All entrées include a choice of Minestrone soup or salad, Sourdough bread with whipped garlic butter and Spumoni ice cream. I chose the minestrone soup to start as I'm not a big fan of food that can be considered good for you. The soup was red, hot and filled with loads of vegetables (but I forgive them for that). The taste was mild, but flavorful. My entrée arrived and looked appetizing. I cut into my steak to find that it wasn't cooked to my order, but done to medium well. The spicy meat sauce on the spaghetti wasn't really very spicy, but still enjoyable. For dessert I had the Spumoni ice cream (hey, it's included in the price), a combination of pistachio, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. It was a nice way to end the meal, but I won't be looking for Spumoni in my local dairy case any time soon. This wasn't my first visit to an Old Spaghetti Factory and even with a couple of hiccups this time, it won't be my last. read more

It was ok. Same as you'ld expect for OSF. I made a reservation online and had it confirmed. They said they didn't have my reservation. They questioned if I got the day correct. I told them of course. They wanted to verify I read it correctly. I showed them and they then wondered if it was confirmed. I showed the part it said confirmed. They said they had to talk to their manager. I eventually got seated with my two small grandchildren. We got our waters right away. Took about 15 minutes for them to come back for my order. I seen the waitress showing another table pictures from her phone. I finally asked a different waitress and she went to get mine. Whenever we are looking for an affordable meal with good service, we always come here. Even on their busiest nights, the quality of their staff and the speed which we get our food is excellent. The meals are always consistently good and we've never left disappointed. They also go above and beyond at this restaurant - one time when we were waiting to be seated, someone else took our spot when our names were called (we didn't hear because it was so busy). After awhile we realized we'd been waiting longer than expected; as soon as the manager realized what happened, they got us seated and gave us a complimentary appetizer. I was shocked because I'd had worse mistakes made at fancier restaurants, and the attitude had always been "so what?" - being offered something on the house made us feel like they genuinely cared. Went there a few weeks ago and everything was mediocre, except our server .. who seemed like a sweet young lady. We got the free bread, which didn't seem all that fresh and definitely wasn't very flavourful. We came here for a birthday party and we were disappointed with the portion and the taste of the food. We have been to many locations of this restaurant and so far this is the worse one in terms of portion and tastes of the food. We already disliked the new bread that is being serve at all the restaurant. It was not the same crunchy texture as before. Its more like a flat longer Ciabatta bread. We upgraded our salad from the meal to Clam Chowder and this soup is so small we found only 3 pieces of tiny clam in it. The whole soup was about 8 spoonfuls. For the main, I had the Spaghetti with Spicy Meat Sauce and the portion was small also. By the time we finished the meal the ice cream was 2 spoonfuls in the nice little metal cup. I have been eating at one location or another of the old spaghetti factory since I was little so for over 20 years. Maybe it is just nostalgia but I love this restaurant chain. It is where I choose to go every year for my big family birthday dinner like clockwork. The Langley location does not disappoint at all. The food is good and the quantity is great. The service has always been great when I have been to this location be it for lunch or for dinner. The food is quality but not high class which I think is what I really appreciate. I am not a fan of fancy places where you have to dress up to go out. I just want to grab a nice dinner quickly and move on. The décor of this place is on par with every other location. The stain glass and the old feel of all the decorating here is great. It almost feels like a blast from the far gone past. After living in Vancouver all my life I'd never been to Old Spaghetti factory (despite having one conveniently located in gastown), so i was excited to give it a shot. The food came out lukewarm and reminded me of my bachelor days where most nights i would cook up some sort of pasta with chorizo and canned tomato sauce (i made this because it was basically the only thing i could make and because it was a super cheap meal). So I won't be going back to OSF, because in order to get three stars from me a restaurant has to give me at least the desire to go back. As a broke graduate student, it can be hard to find good food at a great price. Thankfully, there's OSF here in Langley! My friends and I frequent here very often, and the food and service has always been great! Depending on the time of day, servers may be a bit swamped, so if you need anything in particular, don't be scared to wave them down and ask. For those who have never been to OSF: almost all of their main dishes will come with either a salad or soup, followed with ice cream. You can get tea or coffee for free, but the server may not always offer it, so be sure to ask if you'd like some. Parking can be a gong show. There's always the lot across the street available though. I recommend going to the movies either before or after your meal! They also offer a discounted deal so you can get a movie ticket for $8 or something instead of the $12.50 cost. The spaghetti with mushroom sauce is my go to. My friends have ordered the spinach salad, ribs, manager's special with a mix of different sauces and we have always enjoyed our meals. They recently changed their bread, and it's not as good anymore, but it still does the trick. Would definitely recommend and return! read more

Their sour dough bread is very good and I really liked their herb butter. Kid meals are good deal and so are the rest of the food on the menu. I ordered seafood fettuccini Alfredo and I did enjoy it. My husband ordered spicy spaghetti with meatballs and unfortunately, he did not find it spicy at all. He commented that there was no heat. The kids enjoyed their pizza. Service was quick and prompt.
