Truly is a nostalgic joint as I used to go here during high school times. It used to be infamous for their buy two get one free pasta dishes but I believe that deal is no longer available. Regardless of which, they have some great pasta dishes, and are a Korean Italian fusion. You can also adjust spice level if available! They take reservations which is nice for a larger group. Parking is abysmal in that location, but that isn't their fault. Usually, I just find parking in the back or on side streets. Most pasta dishes are between $16-$20 and have quite hearty portion and you also get a slice of garlic bread for free. Staff is friendly and usually run by one person but very efficiently.

Was recommended this place by a colleague and since my partner loves pasta, we decided to try it out. Food was delicious and the service was great. The waiter provided us more garlic bread while we waited for our food and the bread was melt in your mouth soft! The environment wasn't what we expected of a pasta restaurant and the Christmas music being played was a bit loud in our opinion. The decor and set up didn't really go well together, but overall a good experience.

This is a great cozy mom and pops restaurant. it is Italian and Korean fusion. The service here is so good, food was comfort food, it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best Italian I have had. Would come back tho

We were in the area and found this restaurant after a quick Yelp search. We stopped by for a late lunch. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated right away. Menu, water and kids dining set dropped off. After reviewing the menu, we ordered spaghetti carbonara, seafood and chicken linguine with rose sauce, and cheese sticks. Garlic bread was dropped off. It was sliced bread with a light coating of garlic butter. The cheese sticks arrived next and it tasted like the standard grocery store variety. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious. There was a good amount of bacon and the pasta was generously coated in sauce. The food is Asian-style pasta so it is not the most authentic for those looking for Italian. However, portion size was good for the price. Service was great. Restaurant is child friendly for families with young children. We did not feel rushed to leave as our child took his time eating his meal.

I ordered a seafood risotto. Very tasty, fresh and hot! Highly recommended!

Add this onto your list for delicious hidden gems in Coquitlam. Jimoco is known for their Korean Italian inspired pasta dishes and lets just say its chef kiss. * Rose tteokbokki ($17) ~ this was pretty solid. I like the thick cuts of sausage that's included into it. I do wish it has more of a kick as it was more tomato than kick. Perfect for those who want tteokbokki without the kick! The rice cake itself was firm and more on the chewy side which was nice. 6.5/10. * Calamari ($12) ~ super crispy and delicious, the sauce it came paired with was a bit sweet which really helped with cutting the salty flavors of all the pasta we tried. 7.5/10. * Pepperoni pizza ($15) ~ ultra thin crust pizza, and not oily. It was good and had good amount of cheese, sauce and pepperoni ratio. I loved how I was thin, and delicious. 8.5/10. * Rose forno ($18) ~ THIS WAS BOMB probably on of my top dishes we tried. The cheesy goodness was so good, loads of cheese, sauce and meat in the penne dish. It was also very well flavored. 10/10. * Risotto seafood ($17) ~ this was good too, the risotto was perfectly cooked and super creamy. Loads of seafood the clams, mussels, and scallops were all nicely coated in the cream sauce and it was delicious. 8.5/10. * Caprese salad ($12) ~ refreshing salad for a nice day. The tomatoes were super sweet and the cheese was a good ratio, not to mention that balsamic glaze was bomb! Good amount of salad to pair with the pastas it really helped cut the heaviness. 9/10. * Truffle oil cream ($16) ~ amazing. Perfectly cooked al dente pasta, and not to mention the truffle oil cream was sooo good with it. Loads of mushrooms too. Probably one of my fav dish here! 10/10. * Also got Truffle Oil Fries ~ this was yummy Costco fries with a subtle hint of truffle and parmesan. 8/10. * Overall id definitely see myself coming back for their pastas if im ever in the area and craving because it was delicious!

Can I just say that I absolutely adore ALL of their pastas? The portions are huge and the price cannot be beat. It's more of a "hole-in-the-wall"/dive-y type restaurant located in a plaza with Florence pizza and such. Very small and quaint, and unfortunately, they don't have a lot of seating, which means that during busy times, you would have to wait quite a bit. I love it for its comfy vibes, it's such a comforting place to visit during rainy season. Also, their service is always consistent, and you are always taken care of! Anyway! Onto the food! I ordered Linguine al Frutti di Mare (seafood linguine in a rose/white/red sauce, I specifically got the rose sauce) and my friend ordered Fusilli alla Lucana which is a meat based pasta with dough covering it. There was a little mishap during our dinnertime-- my friends dish came out underbaked, so we had to send it back and and ask for it to be baked for a little longer. The server was polite and kind about it and brought the dish back to us perfectly baked. And when we dug in... Oh heavens! It was so delicious, we could barely talk while we ate. That is really all I can say about this place. If you are ever in town, I highly recommend this place! Like really highly. If I could eat here every day, I totally would. Tip: when you dine at Jimoco's you get garlic bread, and it's perfect to soak up the leftover pasta sauce with, so do not be shy to ask for more, if you need! Remember, carbs are friends.

Went here for a last minute lunch. Was not impressed. I've ever in all My life had pasta with sliced beef on it. The price was not decent or expensive, very middle of the road. If you're looking for anything italian, keep looking. This is more of an Asian fusion type place. Will not return .

Love their Pasta 2 for 1 Deal! We got 2 big plates of pasta for just $25.95 in total. This Italian Cafe Jimoco in Coquitlam has delicious pasta, and we would come here to satisfy our pasta cravings~ they have a super extensive menu of all sorts of pasta and sauces! Our favourite was the cream pesto, it was linguine pasta tossed in a super rich and creamy pesto sauce with broccoli, basil, mushroom and cheese! Loved the sauce so so much~ one of the most delicious pesto sauce I've had We also got the Cacciatore Ribs which was surprisingly delicious as well! It was a tomato based Italian ribs stew with penne pasta, the ribs meat was nice and tender, falls of the bone easily. 2 for 1 - $25.95 Cream Pesto Cacciatore Ribs

Posting of all the "pastas" presented, the menu is VAST!

A warm greeting upon entering a clean welcoming strip mall cafe. Our waitress was attentive and informative. My rating is based solely on the pasta! The pasta was perfectly cooked, not always the case believe me, and good quality with delicious sauces. A vast selection is available. The Caesar salad was fresh and well dressed. Our garlic bread could've been "warmer" with abit more garlic butter. NOW on to the calamari ... sadly I must say it was VERY disappointing. Would evaluate as not "fresh" seafood with a very poor flavorless "batter". The dip was mediocre. Left much of it on the plate which is rare for me!

This is the spot if you want to get your pasta cravings satisfied. They have so many choices of pasta. They have 2 for 1 deal any time with pastas being $25. Deal! They offer delicious pasta; haven't tried any that does not meet expectation. Come hungry. I would recommend their calamari! Crisp and plenty. Go with any pasta you prefer. Service here is fast. There could be long lineups during the weekend and dinner time. Free parking at the back stalls #6 and #14.

Takeout order of Spaghetti & Meatballs. Note: it only came with ONE meatball. The 2nd one is extra.
    Danielle B.

My experience to date has consisted of a single takeout order of pasta. Since they offer 2-for-1 on their pasta, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the spaghetti carbonara. I also ordered an extra side of meatballs for $5. Much to my surprise, this side order consisted of ONE single meatball. Even more surprising was the spaghetti and meatBALLS was also singular. Yep, just one. I was totally disappointed because I read the menu (with photos!) and looked at all the photos on their Yelp page prior to ordering. All the photos show three meatballs on the spaghetti and the side order is four meatballs for $5. I wrote to the restaurant to ask about this but they simply ignored me. Not impressed, that's for sure. The garlic toast that comes with the pasta is pretty mediocre but the pasta itself was actually really good. Especially the carbonara. For the price (taking into consideration the 2-for-1 deal) I thought the portions of pasta were quite reasonable. Works out to about $10 per plate. The side order of meatballs (ha!) however, are grossly overpriced. Really? Five bucks for one medium sized ball of ground meat? No thanks. I'll probably go back, though, because the carbonara was just that good.

However, we really enjoy the food and coziness of the room so we have continued to make Henry's one of our regular dining experiences. We were going to make reservations for later this month when I noticed a line on their website saying that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill. I thought that maybe it was a line that had been added on because of New Year's Eve or at that the prices on the menu now reflected the 20% gratuity and no further tipping would be required. My husband sent an email to Henry's asking them to clarify what the policy was. We received a response from Jasmine "20% will be add on. It does not refer only to groups but also to each individual consumer". Sadly, we will not be going to Henry's anymore. The food is very good but the prices are already very high. We were at a Seasons in the Park last night. Their prices are less than Henry's. The setting is nicer, service was outstanding and food is very bit as good as Henry's.

We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones) and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West.).

We were given a few small pieces of bread with some thinly sliced meat, a tomato spread and a few pieces of Parmigianno Reggiano cheese. Hmmm...that was kind of different. Usually it's just bread with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar, or bread with some kind of spread. Adding the thinly sliced meat and the few pieces of cheese was a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the cheese! For our entrees my friend ordered Linguine e salmone, and I ordered Bucatini all Bomba. The Linguine e salmone came with a fairly large and thick piece of salmon. I was impressed with how generous the portion of salmon was for this dish. My dish was tasty but kinda paled in comparison next to the huge slab of salmon on my friend's plate. No fault of the restaurant as I had opted not to add any protein to my dish. I have a feeling if I'd added protein then there's a good chance I'd have ended up with a similar sized piece on my plate as well. Salmon for example would have cost an extra $14 to add to my dish. For that sum, I have a feeling it would be a pretty generous slab of salmon they'd be adding. I did very much enjoy the flavors of my dish. The portion of pasta looked a bit small upon first glance, but it was actually quite filling. I had just enough room after my pasta to order a Grappa Tiramisu for dessert, and as I don't come to Port Moody very often, I decided to splurge and order one. Mmmmm...sooo good. If you like Italian food, this place is quite a gem. I also love that they have a Vegetarian lasagna on their menu. As someone who doesn't eat meat, a Vegetarian lasagan is something that always grabs my attention when I'm at Italian restaurants. We stumbled upon this place while waitlisted elsewhere nearby but Im glad that happened. The ambiance of Povera is old timey, warm, and intimate. Tables are small and somewhat compact but it doesn't feel that way. The service was alright. The only time service fell short was when we asked for things like a straw for the drink or fresh ground pepper. Maybe staff were tired as it was the end of the night or maybe they were really busy. Regardless, we did have to ask a few times before they brought things over. Brownie points to our server though - We had a lovely server who was patient and let us take our time to review the menu. And he generously offered up the antipasto spreads and focaccia, which was delicious! The food was great. Highly recommend the focaccia. It was so good! Seasoned just right and had a great crunch. Listened to others' recommendations and got the salmon linguine. Now, it may sound simple on paper (lemon, rosemary, linguine, salmon) but it is done very well. The salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The rosemary did a lot of heavylifting but wasn't overwhelming the dish. The lemon was a touch of acid to being brightness to the dish. Everything worked together. We also got the Bomba pasta with chicken. Also good, had a lot of flavours working together! The chicken also has a crisp exterior and tender interior. I'd definitely come back here for a date night or a more intimate chat with friends.

Nice sorta open kitchen concept, where you see the Italian maestro at work. Looks like an Italian grandpa to be honest. My fav dish was the seafood one with fish and shrimps. It was loaded with generous pieces and finished perfectly with a touch of white wine and vodka sauce. The pesto one was also good. Not too overpowering, with a touch of crème fresh. The burrata was also so good. Freshly made and complimented by a nice drizzle of olive and balsamic. Another winner is the house bread which you can keep in asking for.
