This was the first time my wife and I had dined at the Langley Pasta Polo, and we were very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the lobster pasta dinner and really enjoyed it as it was full of lobster meat and prawns with a very tasty white sauce. My wife ordered the baked cannelloni and gave it two thumbs up. Her portion was very big so she had a third wrapped up and brought it home to enjoy later. We shared an order of garlic toast and it was delicious with chunks of fresh garlic and toasted just so. Real care went into its preparation. I should also say the starter Caesar salads were very fresh with yummy croutons and dressing. All in all this was a great local dining experience. We will be back. read more

We just came in to eat today at 7:50, sign says they close at 9...waited a while then when waitress came out, rolled her eyes and says "wellllll I can check if we can serve you but we play by ear now for when we close". We just told her we'll leave so we dont inconvenience anybody. After we exit, she locks the door behind us. I wanted to try this place but that was such a turn off, dont appreciate the attitude honestly. read more

Awful. All our food was tasteless. Even the garlic bread was bad!? Would not recommend to anyone I hope I don't get sick.

I've never been to pasta polo but heard great things about it, so I decided to try it. Soon as I walked in, the servers told me to sit wherever I want, and instantly I could tell they were very unenthusiastic about their job. They brought menus, threw a bowl of bread and a water on the table and walked away. Once they returned, I placed an order, and to my surprise, they returned with the food surprisingly fast! Oh boy I thought! Starving and ready to eat, they brought the completely wrong dish out. I let them know, and they offered to exchange it but seemed almost annoyed. Literally seemed annoyed that they messed up my order. I decided to just roll with it since I was starving, and they gave an unenthusiastic apology and walked off, not knowing I had ordered an appetizer as well but forgot to bring that out. The main dish was extremely bland, and they didn't come to refill my water until I was long done my low quality meal. Needless to say, I will never be going back to this place again. You can tell the food is made with absolute 0 care, and the servers all seem like they're just waiting to go home. Extremely disappointed read more

I wouldn't dine here again. It smells delicious walking in there, promising a yummy meal. But the prices don't match the quality whatsoever. I had the Mediterranean which cost $14.95 and it was ww spaghetti, with minimal veggies mixed in olive oil and garlic. I can make the same thing at home for $3. Really not worth going to a restaurant for. read more

My second review. We had the same wonderful server Simone. She is as efficient and nice as she is pretty. Since I was not very hungry & it was hellishly hot, I ordered the same 1/2 Greek salad & added spicy chicken which was really good. (But the salad had much less feta than last time & was served in a bowl & was harder to eat. More feta please.) My husband ordered the pasta Chicken Genovese. It was over the top amazing. It was SOOOO GOOD!!!. The restaurant serves complimentary bread which a wonderful marinara sauce. What a great restaurant. Langley is so lucky to have a neighborhood restaurant like this one. read more

I'm a lover of Italian food and this was a great disappointment. Soggy pasta, mushy eggplant parmesan. It appeared the food was microwaved it was so hot and so overcooked. I wouldn't recommend it, if you're looking for authentic italian read more

Service was fine. Food was very very basic. Had the gluten free pasta. One large mound of pasta and very few of veggies and non existent meat. I guess if u were feeding football team of 15 year olds it might be ok. read more

Thought I'd give this place a try after driving by numerous times. Took home an order of the Fettucini Alfredo. I couldn't believe how bland it was. I don't believe I'll be going back again. read more

Pasta Polo is one of my favourite restaurants in the Langley area. There pasta is good, the service is real and good and the prices are reasonable. I've taken may friends here and they all really like the place. Definitely a great place. read more

Great lunch for $11- pasta and a rack o ribs! Went in here based on previous reviews. Lunch special: Pasta was al dente, ribs were fall off the bone tender, the sauce was a tomato basil- a bit plain but still good! Funky decor, this aint no chain restaurant! It was actually refreshing to be in a place that wasn't emulating or trying to emulate a Cactus Club. Will be back for more. read more

Just know when you dine at Pasta Polo you will find the menu selection plentiful. The food was amazing, so tasty, hot and delicious. The portion sizes were abundant. We celebrated our staff lunch at Pasta Polo yesterday and found the customer service was exceptional and timely for our meals. The Owner Jamal is extremely committed to his valued customers and supports his community year after year. Thank you Jamal and your staff at Pasta Polo for all you do. Sincerely, read more

Unassuming little Italian place in the back corner of a strip mall. As mentioned in other reviews, the food is pretty much 3 to 3.5 star. Service is very good. Daughter and I agreed to share 1 appetizer, 1 salad and 1 entree. We chose the Meatball Florentine as our shared appetizer. House meatballs in red sauce next to slices of toasted focaccia, with a healthy handful of chopped romaine lettuce in the corner. This was very, very good. I would definitely order the meatballs as part of a main course (or on a pizza!). This easily could be a standout dish if it wasn't so disjointed. We felt we should have had instructions to eat it. If I were judging it as a "Chopped" dish, I would comment that I was confused on how to eat it. The disjointed elements could have been pulled together if the lettuce had been dressed with a lightly acidic vinaigrette. We selected the Pasta Polo salad. This was mediocre with great potential. It had so many raw elements going on that it seemed somone went into the kitchen, cleared out the refigerator, and then was too tired to cook the ingredients that could have benefited from heat. The tender baby greens were fresh. In addition to the greens, the salad was composed of raw red onions, red and yellow bell peppers, mushrooms and tomato. The peppers would certainly have been better had they been roasted. The red onions were cut large and the amount overwhelmed. Roasted red onions would have been a bit mellower. The mushrooms could have been sliced thin and sauteed until just beginning to crisp (not a fan of raw mushrooms). I would have skipped the hard, chewy strips of sun-dried tomato and instead, lightly roasted fresh tomatoes. Crumbled feta instead of shredded feta. Perhaps finished with some minced pickled peppers. The balsamic-based dressing was very good. We both felt that after a few moments, the flavors just flattened out and in general, the salad finished bland. For our entree we shared the Baked Chicken Penne. Another dish with potential that fell flat. I would have preferred the chicken diced rather than in strips. It could have used 3x more mushrooms and we never found the tomatoes (fresh or sun-dried) mentioned in the description. Again - this dish started off good and then continued to fall flat. Service was outstanding. This is just the kind of place neighborhood folks could saunter too on a regular basis. Get to the know the staff as regulars. They just need to focus on improving flavors and cohesiveness. I'm torn. 3 stars or 4. There are some standouts (meatballs and service), but there is great room for improvement. read more

One of the worst flavourless pastas i've ever had. Also paid $5 for prawns...that ends up being little mini shrimps...not even a full bite! Much prefer to go to a greek place and have some yummy large prawns in garlic butter! Totally worth the money there, but definitely not there. Super disappointed. Do yourself a favour and go to olive garden or antons instead! read more

We went here August 8th of last year after bowling at nearby willowbrook lanes. We had the following dishes Chicken strips and fries- fries were delicious. The chicken was, however, hellish. It was rock solid and tasted like wood. Both me and my sister had these. Pasta - my mum had this. Horrible flavour. Cheese pizza - surprisingly good. Lovely compared to the other food What else? Staff are rude - this one bitch literally rolled her eyes when we asked for water. Sorry for being such a burden. The people here are stuck up and just plain stupid. read more

The food is very delicious and the portions are large. The location is small. It would be nice if they opened more locations or started delivering through skip the dishes. read more

Nice little place. Good quality food, and reasonable prices. Caters to all diets, and you don't usually have to wait long for a table, which can be very frustrating in Langley on a Saturday night. Also quiet enough to be able to carry on a conversation, which is nice. read more

Had a great experience at Pasta Polo with my family. From minute one, they were friendly and smiling. Food had huge portions and everybody loved their meal. My son even got a song sung to him and a free dessert as it was he 15th birthday. Great overall experience and we will definitely be back. read more

Amazing place to eat, wonderful atmosphere, never to many people, and great outdoor seating.

I feel like this place is really hit or miss. The staff is always kind, so that's good, but the food is all over the place. Sometimes it's cooked to perfection and other times it's like they opened a jar of sauce from the store and dumped it on overcooked noodles. It also depends on what you order, as some recipes are a lot better than others. I like the herb and cheese tortellini with rose sauce for a consistently good dish. I feel like their kitchen staff changes a lot? Maybe that's why the quality varies. Also they are a bit pricey for just pasta but the lunch specials are inexpensive and not too bad. Just average, though. Portions are huge so expect leftovers. read more

Went here with my husband because we had a coupon in the Entertainment Book. Was actually surprised how many people were there on a Wednesday Night. Especially considering the food was nothing to boast about. It was a step up from Old Spaghetti Factory (the one in Langley is awful and a waste of money) but it was really not that great. I had the stuffed cannoli, and hubby had the seafood alfredo special. Both were rather bland and could have used much better spices. The dip for the bread they serve you at the beginning was pretty nasty, and the actual bread was fairly processed tasty. The fact that this bread comes in lieu of garlic toast with the pasta dishes is very disappointing. I'd have been even more upset had we not had a BOGO coupon. Will not be back. There are much better places to go. read more

Great food, staff is nice and the smell when you walk in is awesome ! They have been around for awhile and the food is the reason.

This is a great little place to eat. The food is great and portions are huge! I always end up taking some home and eating it for lunch the next day. I often get there meat and cheese tortellini baked in mozzarella and it is my major craving food. When my mum, grandma and I went there for my birthday my grandma got the ribs and my mum got one of there seafood specials and they both tasted amazing as well. My first experience here I got the baked manicotti and I sent it back once because it tasted bad. The manager came out immediately and apologized, took my food off the bill and had the dish remade and it tasted amazing like all their other food. I highly recommend this to anyone in Langley who is craving true Italian food. The atmosphere is great, the staff is always welcoming and upbeat, and the food is to die for. read more

We've been coming here since moving to Langley in 2003. One of our favourites! Portions are huge, food is delicious and the staff are great! Simone, our favorite server, knows our usual orders. We took a friend there once and we were seated by someone else but in Simone's section. She came to our table with the drinks we usually order. Our friend was stunned as we hadn't ordered yet. She told him she would have brought him something but since it was his first visit she didn't know what he liked great place and consistently good read more

I initially chose Pasta Polo for its location- after 15 hours of international travel, all I really wanted was to burrow into my hotel bed, but I needed to go to the hardware store, and this place was on the way back. I thought I'd just get something to go and head back to my hotel, but the restaurant felt so inviting with its soft lighting and warm woods, that on a whim, I asked for a table. The staff was incredibly kind, and very attentive. My server always made sure to stop by my table to check in, even though it was clear that the place was busy, being a Saturday night. The food was delicious; even the homemade salsa they brought out with the bread basket was superb- mild at first, but with just a slight kick at the end. I had the primavera rose with herb & cheese tortellini, and it was such a delight. The portion was more than I was able to finish, but I couldn't resist asking for their creme brulee to go with my leftovers. My server cautioned me that they didn't have any take out ramekins, and that if they scoop it out, the creme brulee might be upside down, or not retain its shape (I assured him I didn't mind at all), but as it turned out, the chef managed to very neatly fit the creme brulee into a styrofoam container, and keep the burnt sugar firmly at the top of the dessert, still crisp and warm. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, and if I have a chance before I return home, I will definitely eat here again. read more

Absolutely awful service we had this evening. Waited almost an hour just to have our orders taken, and had to flag down a hostess to get our server many times. Server was EXTREMELY slow to get any requests (I.e drink refills) and huffed and puffed when we asked for the bill . After waiting so long to put in our orders we had to wait almost another 40min just to receive our food. Although the food was good, waiting 2 hours for dinner was absolutely ridiculous. The only thing that saved this review from a one star was the super attentive hostess who took care of our needs (for the most part). We actually ended up tipping her instead our waitress, and all felt our experience would have been much more enjoyable if she was our original waitress. Overall would not reccomend as a place to go based on the service we received this evening. Very disappointed. read more

Pasta Polo has exemplary staff and service. Their food portions are amazing. Always walking away with a to go package. Their variety of pastas and sauces and food choices are exemplary. I went to Pasta Polo about two weeks ago with two of my friends. Based on some good word-of-mouth, we decided to try it. I had angel hair pasta with white-wine clam sauce, one friend had the roasted vegetables & minestrone, and the other had eggplant parmesan. Let's start with mine: HUGE portion. I can eat alot, but there was no way in hell that I was going to finish it....Nor would I want to. The sauce was incredibly bland. I have made a white-wine clam sauce at home and have been far more successful! And I used canned clams! There was virtually no flavour. Just a giant amount of greasy pasta scattered with a few clams. Now my friends with the eggplant parmesan: Another HUGE portion. Disgustingly huge. It was eggplant parmesan with a pile of pasta as well. I tried her pasta, it was fine. But you could just save yourself some money and buy a jar of Classico at the grocery store and be better off. I also tried her eggplant parmesan, and it was pretty disappointing as well. I've had this dish before, and I loved it! Nice crispy cheese on top, yum! But the pasta polo version was gloopy and soft. No crispy cheese. I don't think they cooked it enough. My other friend had a 1/2 order of minestrone soup and grilled vegetables with balsamic glaze. She liked both parts of her meal. I didn't try her soup, but the vegetables were pretty good (a bit too greasy though). The veggies were an average sized portion, but the soup was again, huge. She got the half portion, and it was the same size as a regular bowl of soup in an average restaurant. All in all, Pasta Polo was not a very good experience. I love huge portions (leftovers), it's just too bad the food sucks! The one star is for the service, the girl was nice enough, attentive; but definitely not enough of a pull for me to go there again! Too bad. read more

My wife & I decided we would give Pasta Polo a try. Entertainment Book coupon in hand we went last week Friday for dinner. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress took our wine order and brought the wrong wine, when she came back to our table she said she had carpal tunnel & if wouldn't mind opening our bottle of wine. Oops. We started with an order of kalamari to share and both had the same pasta order of prawns & scallops with a rose sauce. Yes it is tasty however at $18.95 for 5 prawns and 6 scallops the size of large green peas...I call this a rip off! Our first and our last visit! read more

This restaurant is getting a little dated. We had dinner last night and it was mediocre. The food was pretty bland but the service was fairly attentive. Portion sizes are big so in that sense the value is decent but the food isn't that good so who cares how big the portions are. There are definitely better dinner spots in town than this, will not be back. read more

Food is average, service is average, and their CC machine is set to give a 20% tip (20% or other) that calculates on the tax-in total.
