I am new to the area and was so happy to stumble upon this nail shop. Not only are the staff extremely friendly, they keep the shop clean! I love that they have the pedicure basins lined with plastic and I love that they offer you the tools they used for your manicure to you. If you don't take them they throw them away! I mean this place wasn't bad but also was great. Very awkward. Nobody talked or asked me anything about my nails. Once the lady who was helping me sat down I asked her something and she just looked at me and looked down. I don't know if she understood me since at one point she got up and asked someone to clarify what I had said. She did okay, slanted pinky line and thick French tip at least for my taste but I could tell her that since she didn't understand me. :( I got a dark French tip. I have never wanted to cry in a nail salon before ... until tonight. The woman who did my nails could not have been more abrupt and rude. When I asked her if the electronic nail file she was using to file the entire surface of my nail would cause damage, she looked at me and refused to respond. I should have gotten up from my seat right then. Big mistake. She rushed through the process, pulling at my cuticles and then massaging my arms and hands for ten seconds with a disgusted look on her face. I paid $20 for a basic manicure (yes, I tipped $5 so I would not have to wait for the change), and it looks like a novice job. CVS is across the street. If you find yourself in this area, save your money and buy the tools. At least you can prop up your feet and relax in the comfort of your own home while you wait for your nails to dry. read more

I wanted to give 0 stars! Change in management was not good for this place. My mom and my myself have gone to this nail salon for years. We have never had an issue with the previous management/owners. Only one lady working, I had an appointment, she got up from doing my nails to help another customer with a nail repair. I asked her to do something in my nails and she told me, No I need more time. That customers when they come in they just sit there and let her do the nails without saying anything. We will no longer be going here. They need more staff and be willingly do what the customer asks for. read more

Came here because I was passing thru the town and this was the nearest salon I found. They had me waiting for so long and couldn't walk out Cuz they had already glued the nails and left me like that for 2 hours. When they had finished my nails I had a lot of air bubbles and weird pointy parts on my thumbs and on top of that they charged me $38 for a crappy full set with no designs ! read more

For starters, she pushed way to hard with the drill, I continuously told her that she was burning my nails an it really hurt, her response was "you have sensitive hands" (i get my nails done regularly at place in rohnert park and have never been burned) I then asked the lady to push back my cuticles and she said okay with no problem didn't say anything about an extra charge, she ended up not doing anything with them and charging me an extra 15$ for it. My 55$ nails looked awful and started lifting the very next day, ended up losing all of them in less than a week. The whole process took 2 hours. They do have free drinks so I guess if you can drink 55$ worth of diet Pepsi it's worth it. Total bust. read more

Ann does a great job! I am very picky about my nails and no one else does them as well as she does. She also uses the dipped powder which is better for your nails than the alternatives. I think she's there most days by herself, so call in advance for an appointment! She's so good that it doesn't seem like she can fit walk-ins into her schedule. read more

I was happy with this salon the 1st few times, clean, nice personnel. My nails started breaking and chipping after each gel manicure, I'm sure due to the electric grinding tool they use to remove gel polish. The last removal, the woman ground my nail bed down so far, it hurt and now I have big gouges out of the nail enamel. Not happy at all with this place and definitely will never go back. read more

I travel from Modesto to Windsor once a month to get out and I would always go get my manicure, pedicure and wax done at this location. They keep up with cleaning their tools and shop. They have beverages while waiting and the massage chair is really relaxing. I like how they use the liner for the spa chair. They have many colors to select from with high end brand names. They have friendly people working there. When I get the chance to get pampered, I would visit this location. I recommend anyone to go there especially men, women and children of all ages. I have been to several nail salons but Passion Nails has not once failed to demonstrate the ability and capability to create beautiful and intricately designed nails. Each time I enter I am welcomed by the staff and offered a free refreshment while I wait. I never schedule appointments but when I call once I realize my nails need to be done, they work with me to figure out when is the soonest time I can come in. In fact, I have walked into the salon and asked to get my nails filled and have waited no more than fifteen minutes! To have the best nails done, I only allow Yen to touch them. She is a young, beautiful, talented, and kind individual who never disappoints me. I always show her a crazy design and she makes my nails look even better than what I had imagined. As a server, customers at my work are continuously complimenting the art on my nails and beg to know who is the artist behind it. To get nails that won't easily chip, break, or crack, go to Passion Nails. I have gone a whole month without getting my nails filled (due to my busy schedule) and although they grow out, they stay strong and in tact. I write this after having gel manicures 4-5 times. The place is clean, ladies nice, but after experiencing chipping nails, broken nails, I went in to get gel removed and have a regular manicure. I was seated at a different station with a new person removing the polish with the electric grinder, which sanded off most of my nails. I told her it was hurting and burning, but apparently she didn't understand English and kept on. Getting clear polish on afterwards by my regular attendant and now 3 days later, I'm horrified at how gouged out and uneven my nail beds are. I went in and showed the manager and expressed how upset I was with the gel removal and condition of my nails now. They've lost a good customer as I will not go back there. We were in town on vacation with family, and my sister-in-law, niece, and I made appointments with Passion Nails. My sister-in-law and I wanted pedis and my niece just wanted to have one of her nails repaired and have the grown out portion of her nails filled. The shop appeared very clean and was running on time. We were immediately instructed where to sit, and helped with the chair massage settings. We were also given small complimentary bottles of water. Not particularly friendly or warm in their approach, they did offer professional service up to that point. Both my sister-in-law and I tried to give specific instructions to the woman helping us. She gave us no reason to believe she understood a word we said, and silently worked on our feet without any conversation. She did our pedicures rather quickly and seemed rushed even though the shop was not particularly busy at the time. My toes looked good, but it wasn't until later in the day that it occurred to me that my heels looked as dry and cracked as they did when I went in. As the pedicures were finished up, the woman who seemed to be in charge asked us if we wanted manicures. When I politely responded, "no thanks", she made no attempt to hide a disgusted expression/eye roll. When my sister-in-law declined, the "manager" went and said something to one of the other girls who then came over to inquire again as to whether she wanted a manicure. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us, rather than the repair and fill on my niece's nails as instructed, all old acrylics were removed and replaced with brand new, doubling the time and cost. By the time my sister-in-law found out, it was too late to do anything but move forward. No apologies or concessions were offered or made. We found the entire experience unfriendly, seemingly underhanded, and frustrating. We would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Didn't want to write this review, because I don't want everyone to steal all the appointment times with Yen, but she's so awesome I had to share. My job requires a lot of hands-on physical work but also requires that I look polished and professional...hard to achieve sometimes. Until I found Yen and Passion Nails. She is the consummate professional - she listens to what I want, makes recommendations as needed and makes sure I'm satisfied before I leave. Yen has never rushed me or tried to push product on me. She's friendly and personable and will also let you just sit and relax, whatever you prefer that day. The salon is super clean (very important to me) they sterilize instruments and open your own pack of files, etc, which they offer to you when you leave. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Whether I want gel wraps to protect my nails from hard labor, or buffed natural to repair all the damage after an event, Yen is a perfectionist every time! Thanks Yen! read more
