Gel manicure- I specifically asked, more than once, that my dry cuticles and cracked, rough skin be smoothed off. She kept grabbing my hand and moving it around to paint the nails rather than adjusting herself or her chair. It was weird. My nails were so rough on the edges. I basically had to file all my nails when I got home so they don't snag. The whole reason I went to get a manicure is to have nails that feel nice. I've never experienced such a crappy job. The lady wasn't very friendly either. And when the other lady did my friend's feet, she cut her several times. It was painful. She almost said "STOP being so rough!" But she didn't want the lady to be even more grouchy. She said the lady acted "tired and annoyed that she had to be working!" We won't be going back. read more

Do not go here. Update! Chip in nail after only 4 hours!!!!:GEL. First of all, no soaking time. Basic pedicure: she cut me. She did not stand to cuticles. She barely touched my callous and only used that ruff sponge, if that was supposed to be a massage it felt like a tickle. Absolutly no pressure, she looked bored. nails look uneven and unfiled. Gel manicure: She did the manicure part during my pedicure even though I clearly said I did not want that. They tried to have me look thru nail polish colors (not a book. Huge messy basket) with one hand since the manicurist had the other and the pedicures kept trying to tell me what to do with my feet! My nails look aweful. Dead skin left. Polish all over skin. She said it would wash off. It did not so I went back and she was going to cut it off with cuticle scissors!!!! The owner obviously could tell I was not happy and said nothing. $85.00 later for very basic horrible pedicure and basic horrible gel manicure. Do not go to Lynn! I went to her for several months for pedicures. My toes have difficult tulip ingrown nails, and the salon recommended her as someone who is good for this condition. I expected the pedicure to hurt, but her rude behavior, particularly during the last appointment, was the final straw. This was not the original place I was heading to on a mid Sunday. The first place over booked (who does that?) Simple Mani Pedi for my step daughter and a full set for myself. It was her first pampering other than simply her nails painted. They sat her behind me in the pedicure chair and did her manicure there while her feet soaked. She loved it! Could still feel a little bit of the massage chair through the pillow "booster" so her feet were able to soak. She loved the water changed colors. During my full set occasionally I would hear giggles from behind me and would look over. The usual that gets everyone the pumice stone. She had a look of euphoria when she was having the warm stone massage and warm towel wrapped around her feet. I think this may be our new end of summer tradition! Good prices. Sooooo I used to go here for acrylics and I did like them, only use Johnny or Annie in the front! But I have since gotten my nails done elsewhere and only have come here a couple of times for a pedicure! So I don't usually post toe pictures and I'm sorry but I don't think you would understand how bad these are, if I didn't post it My nails are naturally short, but not this short and when I came in they were not rounded! They were square and probably a quarter inch longer than they are now which for toenails is pretty long! But I payed for my pedicure and didn't tip, and all the ladies made faces rolled their eyes watched me leave and talked about me as I left! so now I have to speak up! They should be glad I didn't ask for a refund or walk out without paying at all. The lady never asked me if I wanted my toenails clipped! She made a comment about my ingrown toenails, then she proceeded to clip and yank out my ingrown toenails! By the time I noticed how rounded she was clipping them, and how short they were they were already clipped, so it's not like I could tell her to redo them. She can't glue my nail back on! So I was pretty mad and frustrated then she did a pretty horrible job on the gel polish. this pedicure was $50. It's not like I was being cheap! I will never get a pedicure here again and I strongly advise you don't either. She also looked like she was uninterested and barely rubbed my legs at all the place I get my nails done now, rubs my arms harder than she rubbed my legs or my feet. Pretty frustrated! went to get my acrylics taken off today and I do have very thin nail beds plus the nails weren't very old so she should have soaked them before not after. She immediately used the tool to try and clip it off and it hurt so BAD. went underneath the nail that was not ready to come off at all instead of starting to soak them and tore my real nail. I jumped so she knew it was painful for me. I am in so much pain. she proceeded to soak the rest because of what she did to my ring finger nail. I hate leaving negative feedback but honestly I will never make another appointment with this nail shop. I made an appointment for a gel pedicure and acrylic fill with gel polish, I called and I asked if they had time on the morning for an 11am appointment they said they did, I arrived on time and they put me in the pedicure chair and left me sitting there for half and hour while they finished and took new clients normally that doesn't bother me but I had obligations at 12:30 and needed to be finished when I asked the lady if they were going to have time to fill my nails all of the sudden they didn't have time. I think they could tell I was visibly upset an mainly because I broke 2 nails and they hurt. The pedicure woman started picking up her speed with my toes because the nail technician guy who sat closest to their laundry and break room suddenly became available, I could tell he really didn't want to do my fill and wish I would've listened to my instincts and just had him fix my two broken nails instead of the whole fill as he did a terrible job my nails look horrible and he didn't even repair my broken nail just slapped some acrylic and paint collected his tip and moved on, I am still in pain with my nail but lesson learned nothing stellar about this place. read more

We paid $100 for to gel pedicures and both left with not only our cuticles bleeding, but polish that was put on so poorly it literally fell off after a couple of hours. Too this of with the fact that she cut the corners of my toenails way back. We were getting our toes done for a wedding in Mexico and it was just horrible. When we talked to the business about getting our money back, they refused and said they would only try to fix it. I didn't want any more damage done so I declined. 4.5 stars. Glad to revisit Stellar Nail Spa. I had moved to the other side of town and I've been going to another salon close to home. Stellar is so much better in every aspect. They are better staffed to handle walk-ins (no wait). Their pedi chairs are nicer. They give a much better pedi, and massage much longer. They actually use a 30 minute timer that their customers can see. The length of massage time at the place across town would vary greatly, seemingly dependent on the flux of customers or even the mood of the staff. Very friendly service at Stellar. Standard pedi is $35, and they don't charge extra for using your credit card. I will be happily coming back to Stellar going forward. read more

I've been to a lot of nail salons in Sonoma county. I'm always searching for that best experience ever; the perfect customer service, a nail job I can not stop staring at, and an unbeatable price. Let me tell you, people of Yelp, my experience at Stellar Nail Salon ticked all my boxes! I made a first time, same day appointment for an acrylic fill and requested Johnny (thanks Yelp.) I was surprised I was able to get in so I'm glad I called early. When I arrived the salon seemed busy and a man greeted me sitting in the nearest station. He caught me a little off guard and without saying anything else, "it must be me you are looking for!?" I replied yes as his confidence assured me this was Johnny, the nail tech that would take my hands to nail heaven. He looked at my current nails and knew they hadn't been done at Stellar. They needed a rehab; seriously they were horrible and lumpy. I asked for a the color swatches and he hands me a tub. Never have I ever been given that many gel swatches! Ooooh the overwhelming options. As a perfectionist, next time I will arrive early if I don't have my heart set on a color before my appointment. Through the whole experience, Johnny was funny, confident and made me feel totally relaxed as if I wasn't going to have to nit pick issues with my nails like I always do. I watched his whole technique as he perfected my acrylics. It was effortless, I was so impressed. When we finished I was surprised to see that for a job which would normally take me over an hour, only took 40 mins. The price was under 30$ for the fill which allowed me to tip generously without feeling like I was draining my wallet. It was honestly surprising for something that well done.
