I have lived here in SONOMA COUNTY since 2017 and have been roaming around from Nail Salon to Nail Salon and some were good, some were bad, some were ugly! One place didn't even soak my cuticles in water and trim them which is my biggest promblem with my nails. After my workout at Planet Fitness in Rohnert Park, I saw across the street....Tracy's Nails. It doesn't look fancy like all the other salons try to look, but thought I'd give it a try. I get gel nails because they last longer, but the last 10 places I went to they last no more than a week. I was greeted by a dog and friendly hello's by this family team. They play good music and the TV is on silent so you can enjoy watching while listening to the music. They simply ask you what color. I love that they let the clients relax and they don't talk over each other which Have found so annoying and all the other places. The appointment lasted about 45 minutes...perfect and 3 weeks later my nails are still in perfect shape. Totally worth the $35. I asked about pricing for acrylic nails with gel. She said $65. I went in and had a pedicure and got acrylic coffin nails with gel. I chose 2 different colors, red on 3 nails and pink on 2. The nails looked ok, and when she was done she told me I owed $120. The pedicure was $40. And she charged me $80 for the nails. Her reasoning was that I got coffin shape, 2 different gel colors, and she trimmed my cuticles. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've never been charged extra for cuticle trim. Not once did she tell me the coffin shape cost extra, or that getting my cuticles trimmed was extra, or that having her use 2 colors was extra. I did not get a design or anything special. I went to get my acrylic toes off and they burned my nails AND the skin around MULTIPLE TIMES with the nail drill. I do not get upset easily but the amount of times I was hurt made me super angry to the point I almost didn't leave a tip. I just wanted to get out. There are a bunch of pink patches on my toes where they went too far with the drill that are super sore. This is one of the best smelling, most beautiful and spacious nail salons I have been to in this area. Tracy is a true artist and the pedi/massage she does is the best! The woman next to me had been coming for 15 years and said she wouldn't ever go anywhere else! My experience was nothing less than 5 stars. I was a walk in and they greeted me promptly with a smile, Quoc even helped me pick out a color and told me some fun stories about Thailand while he immaculately did my nails! He is goooooood!!!! Louise was so kind and great, even informative without me asking a question...I commented on how nice it smelled and he explained that they buy high quality polishes and have less chemicals than the average nail salon...plus they have high ceilings and lovely ventilation...it was extremely comfortable and I know if I'm having a bad day, I can go sit in a comfy massage chair and feel so much better after the best pedi around! I did not opt for the deluxe pedi, which comes with a stone scrub...it was nice that they offer this...I like my feet a little different tough for when I have to run barefoot after my 10 year old. First visit and will never go back! TWO stars only for the older gentleman because he massages well. He was very patient and kind but poor work in both manicure and pedicure. They didn't have the exact gel color I wanted so I decided to with regular. Guess what? The lady (owner?) was SO pushy and said she does have the color I want in gel.... and I ended with two shades darker. Overall, I wasn't happy and decided to tip $3. The same lady demanded tip from my sister OUT LOUD. Her intention was very obvious, to ask for tip out loud and embarrass the customer so they could tip. Seriously ??!! Screw this. You provided a poor service but because of the holidays I tipped $3 regardless but yet you demanded for more tip! I had to come home and remove the excessive top coat myself AND trim some of my nail corn Please don't go here. --------------------------------------- To respond to the staff who wrote me back (Quac), the tip was not a misunderstanding. I had already handed $3 in cash and my sister was paying with her credit card. It's been a while since I got a pedicure and I found this place that's close to my BF house. I came in when it opened and I was helped right away. The place is small and looks a little old but sometimes those are the best to go to. The man who did my pedicure was very nice and easy to talk to. I liked that he communicated with what he was going to do. I told him I was planning to go hiking and made sure to cut my nails short and to take out all my ingrown nails. After moving to Santa Rosa, I lost touch with Tracy for a while and didn't have a pedicure (get this....) for 4 or 5 years. I am really struggling to figure out the amount of 5 star reviews this place has. When you first walk in, there's a barking dog that will continue to bark at you until the staff tells him to lay down. There are no prices anywhere so when I was asked if I wanted the deluxe option, I said sure and hoped the price wasn't too ridiculous. The pedicure and massage was nice but looking at my nails, they are uneven and some are jagged. Instead of painting the nails cleanly, paint was slapped on and he spent about 5 minutes wiping the cuticles and excess away. Sometimes he had to paint the nail again because he scratched/smudged the wet nail. My toes still have some paint on them and I wiped them myself at home. The last thing I couldn't believe was the comment made to me at the end. I was in the middle of paying for the pedicure and I handed her the $40 for the pedicure. I just had my first manicure here with acrylic fill. Very nice job by Tracy! $55. I hope they last more than 2 weeks ( as in last shop, Jenny's)! Pink and white sparkles in both pink and white. Tracy mixed the powder colors for me. The atmosphere is pleasant and close to 24 hour fitness. She did exactly what I asked her to do, which is also better than several other shops. what can i say besides wow! wow wow wow. i had, who i believe to be, tracy's husband and tracy do my pedicure. the customer service first off is amazing. i originally called in today for a 3:00pm appointment. I got off work earlier than expected and wanted to bump my appointment to 2:15. they happily took me in and started working right away. initially i wanted just a regular gel pedicure, but then decided on the deluxe pedicure with the massage, sugar scrub, and hot stones. the full shabang. he took his time with me clipping my toe nails, shaping them, and massaging them. all of their equipment is new and clean. highly recommend this place. i'm sure they need the business, especially during this pandemic. i was the only one in there from 2:15-3:15. such lovey and wonderful people. i will definitely be coming back! read more

Went here because I've been here a few times as my back up nail salon I was getting a gel acrylic fill and one broken nail I looked at their prices which was $35 for the fill and usually at other nail salons it's $5 for a broken nail but they charged me $10 for one broken nail at that point it would of been cheaper to get a whole new set but this isn't the only thing when they started my nails they pulled out a box that said "soiled" on the top of it and when I looked at the tools they were using and they were dirty and had other peoples finger nail dirt and skin on it and they also burned me several times with the grinder they didn't clean up the nail polish off my fingers and the one new nail they put on wasn't even fully connected with my actual nail and they didn't go with the curve of my nail they put it on straight and this applied a lot of painful pressure to my nail so I had to remove them immediately they also didn't check to see if any of my nail lengths were even which they were not my thumb nail was slanted and they didn't wash or even dust my hands off in between grinding the nail and painting them so also of what she grinded was in my nail polish and she didn't grind my actual nails down underneath and in case you couldn't tell because I couldn't these are supposed to be coffin shaped you can see the acrylic was uneven throughout my nails and when I paid it was $45 and I gave her $50 and she wouldn't give me change back read more

Place has nice colors, quite staff, but my nails came out really uneven, my cuticles cut and now super dry even after lotion. My nails were done by the older lady who works there. I asked for stiletto shape. She seemed a little confused at first so I showed her a photo and she confirmed she can do. I asked twice just in case. That wasnt the problem I asked her not to use her power grinder on my real nails. She ignored this and took them down so thin with that thing that she burned me, hurt me multiple times all of my natural nails all peeled and broke over the next few days. This has never happen before!!!! She has a sign saying "if you are not happy with your nails, we will correct the problem with no additional cost" She lies, when I came back and explained my issues with the job she had done. I have been going to Tracy's for years. They are always friendly and do a great job. I get manicures and pedicures, they are much more thorough than other salons in cleaning up cuticles so my nails look good and last much longer. I came in for a mani/pedi today. The pedi is ok, though in the past I received a 5 min calf massage for a $25 pedi. Not this time. Then the guy that started to do my nails ended up cutting too short. I was so looking forward to having my nails done, but had to cancel the mani cause - you know - who wants polish on short nails. When I came home I noticed that the polish on my toes was uneven. I went back to the salon and thankfully they redid the one toe. I did get a "see you next year" when I left, so who knows what that meant. They're really nice but don't go there wanting acrylic toes. I went in for a pedicure and called before to ask if they knew how to do acrylic on the toes and they said yes. When I came I was greeting by a barking dog who followed me to my chair, which wasn't too bad since I like dogs. Then they get started and I notice my pedi is a little different then the laser closest to me. She got a hot towel wrapped around her legs and a hot stone while I sat with my legs cold for 40 minutes while the lady finished doing someone's hands. They said it was going to be $100 so I tried to say I'd pay for what they already did and go home I was convinced to stay for a cheaper price and they didn't do what I asked for. Granted it was cute but not at all what I asked for. Was planning to get just a pedicure, but ended up getting a gel manicure too. Pedicure was good. Great massage and felt like he took his time. My gel manicure was fine. She nicely cleaned my finger nails and nicely cut off my cuticles. Paint job was done nicely, but I asked for square shape and went home with my nails just smoothly filed and oval shape. Ended up fixing it at home and having to cut off a lot of my nails to have it evenly square French tips. Was pretty upset cause I was trying to grow my nails out. I have really been enjoying getting my nails done here! The three gel manicures I got have been wonderful. I feel like they really take their time and pay attention to detail. They're gel manicures seem to last longer than other places, because they are very careful not to get too close to the cuticle or edges, it seems. It has never felt rushed here! I also got a pedicure one time, which was very nice as well. I usually spend about an hour here, which I enjoy because some places will rush you out in 20 minutes. I went to Tracy Nails based on the reviews I read on yelp. Big mistake. Tracy did my pink and white fill and she was complaining about how much work it is. In 10 years of getting manicures I have never once heard anyone complain about how much work it is. If you don't want to do it, don't offer the service!! In addition to her complaining and slowness, my nails are crooked, the amount of white is not consistant and she rushed through the gel process. I'm not sure what type of gel she used but it seemed more like a top coat of clear nail polish than the gel I'm used to getting. I'm used to paying $25 for a pink and white fill (even with a broken nail) so $40 was definite reminder that I'm not in San Jose anymore. We got an appointment day of and were greeted so welcomely by two young and pretty handsome looking guys. Travis and Quoc did our nails and were so sweet!
