I would have to go again to give a better opinion of this restaurant. I came during 'Happy Hour'. I think that was the best decision I have ever made! The deals on their happy menu hour are fantastic!!!!! Sushi rolls for 3$??? That's amazing! Now, it wasn't all the rolls, but it was there for the California roll, the Shrimp, the Alaskan, the Avocado, and the Spicy Crab Meat roll. It was a good selection! And the prices for these on the regular menu were much higher so it was a really good discount! They had the special rolls at a discounted price on the "Happy Hour" menu as well. They had the dragon roll, the Red Skins roll and I forgot the rest. Still, it was a very good deal for the special rolls!
The appetizers on the happy hour menu were also listed at just 3$! That was amazing as well! We ordered the Roti Canai and it was actually really good! The curry was the perfect amount of spice and I also really liked the chicken and veggies that were in it too. It was a large appetizer and that was really cool! I thought that maybe, they would have given a smaller size because it was the "Happy Hour" version but it was the normal size! That was a really good aspect!
This is an Asian fusion restaurant so this one was Indian inspired. The curry sauce was really good and I really liked it! I may come back and just order that! They had other appetizers on the "Happy Hour" menu. There was a shumai, harumaki, edamame, and gyoza.
I ended up ordering the shrimp, the spicy crab meat, and the alaskan roll. I really liked the alaskan roll. The shrimp roll, I shall warn you, was not shrimp tempura! It was shrimp with cucumber and avocado. It was good, but I wasn't expecting it like that. But that was fine because it tasted fresh. If I come back though, I would probably order the California roll. I would also want to try the eel and perhaps the yellowtail! I liked the alaskan roll but I think it was a little bland. I don't know why, but it was missing something. I'm not sure what, maybe a sauce, but it was fresh and it tasted nice ! I ended up liking the Red Skins roll the best. The Spicy Crab Meat roll was my least favorite. Personally, I thought it was my least favorite due to the fact that there was literally just the crab meat that you can find in any California roll with a little bit of spicy sauce. It didn't taste spicy at all, and it was just the crab meat. I got tired of the taste quickly, but then again, I did order the spicy crab meat so obviously, it's only going to have the crab meat. I wouldn't order it again, but it was nice to try something new!
Another thing I liked about the sushi was the amount of rice. They tended to put a little bit less rice on their sushi than many of the other sushi places around and I am not a big rice person so I actually really liked the lessened amount of rice.
I want to come back for sure to try the other appetizers and the other items on the menu. I really liked the Red Skin roll so I will have to come during happy hour! I will be coming back to maybe try some of their other items on the menu. Like maybe the teriyaki chicken, the thai or the other dishes! read more
