Antipasto
Kristen A.

Service by (Dillon ) was on point! Antipasto was pretty decent, could have been a little more jam packed. Fairly sprinkled. Go to there is gluten free sausage, and banana pepper pizza is always a win! Currently priced is at 16.99 .

We came at mid-afternoon on a Saturday with a reservation for a large party. Our group had one long table and several booths. Everyone ordered off the regular menu. The servers brought rolls with oil for dipping. I opted for the fruitti di mare, which is scallops, shrimp, and mussels in a garlic wine sauce over angel hair pasta. I added a caesar salad as a side. All the food was outstanding! The quality and quantity were excellent. The servers were friendly and helpful. I left wishing we lived closer.

Went to this restaurant for a 50th anniversary party where we ordered from the menu. I got the scallops per the recommendation of my sister-in-law which were delicious. There was bread and dipping oil to start followed by a choice of soup or salad...I had a Caesar salad...both were very good. I took home some of the scallops as there was quite a few. I will plan to go back in the future as this was my first visit!!

Food, service, ambiance. Family friendly, great food, service was incredible. Very attentive. Well oiled machine. Highly recommend.

Cheese pizza

They have vegan cheese for vegan pizza. It's not on the website and you can't order it online- you have to call, but it's a solid option in an area without other vegan pizza options. We picked it up. Pizza was medium thickness, the cheese gets melty, crust and sauce were good. Tastes great the next day, too. Our group also got a conventional cheese pizza which was enjoyed. My MIL said the fish fry was excellent - one of the best she's had in awhile. Fish was breaded and crispy and came with three sides in a little cardboard boat - mac salad, potato salad, and slaw, plus fries. She would give the place a 5.

Me ascending

This meal was angelic. Soul-touching, even thought-provoking. I flew over eight hours total, stuck in a metal tube, and I came to Pasquale's, and ordered the Sausage Pizza. I had actually shed a tear. This meal was MAGICAL. The way the food mingled and made with my taste buds, with the thirst-quenching satisfaction of the perfect texture and slice shape, this dish had me in a heavenly chokehold, I actually couldn't. The waiters were nice, and the room was quiet and fancy, but I was pretty much talking to Jesus how this food communicated with my mouth. If and when I die, i want to ascend with this exact meal in my hand. This honestly changed my life. Thank you to Buffalo for blessing us with Pasquale's.

Parmesan Crusted Haddock

We had never been here before and loved it! Well worth the drive. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with a cozy old style village vibe this place is for you. The bread - warm and delicious, the Cesar salad - crispy and so flavorful. The pasta sauce? So good. I had the Parmesan encrusted haddock - delicious! My husband had a broiled haddock fish fry - all the sides and the fish itself was perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back.

Caesar Salad and bread with dipping oil

This place is definitely 5/5. I ordered a sheet pizza today with ricotta covering the whole thing, then various toppings to try (banana peppers, sweet peppers, and onion). I loved every combo, and would definitely get it again. Try their pizza- you will be happy!

This is a small pepperoni and banana peppers pizza, good for two people or three.

With pizzerias like this, it surprises me that the National chains have a presence in Western New York. Good pizza, wings, and baked penne!

Really good, the Italian feast was great. House dressing for salad was yummy. Next time I will try the crab raviolis.

They have a nice variety of wine, something for every palette as well as a light kitchen menu. The service here so far has been superb. Every staff member I've met has been friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. To top it off they have some really cool and unique events. Including on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-7 they offer an aperitivo. Grab a bar seat and $20 gets you a glass of wine and a pre-selected menu of light bites. It was the perfect girls night and was more food than anyone expected. It was a fun surprise to see what kept coming out of the kitchen. Super fun, different and every bite was fresh and delicious! As I don't consume cheese, the wine connoisseur took it upon himself to find an appropriate non-dairy match for me, and did a phenomenal job with it. From the grilled portabella mushroom caponata with a Canadian Pinot Noir, to the sweet maple syrup drizzled figs with a little lemon with a local blackberry wine, or the channa masala to compliment the sweet Californian Riesling, every bite and sip was a harmonious marriage. ‍‍ The service was phenomenal and that alone makes visiting this winery worth it, a long with the educational value offered. The staff is very knowledgeable on different wines and also has that skill of disseminating the information effectively to better educate its customers. Even though we have visited a few wineries and vineyards in the US and abroad, I would take this one to be in my top 3 experiences. The tasting room is also clean and well set up. I would highly recommend visiting Ten Thousand Vines if you are from the area or visiting to try some of the phenomenal wines from WNY.

There was a steady number of people coming in for dinner while I was there. The owner/bartender was super cool and helpful when it came to picking out a quick bite. I ended up trying the chicken pintxo and I had a charcuterie board as well. I'm not as much of a drinker anymore but they had such a great selection of wines here that I would have been able to choose from a wide variety. The chicken pintxo was great. It had a really good flavor. The skewers were shorter which was nice to try to get the food off. The bread was great and they were a really great bite. The charcuterie board had the usual components and I ate it quickly before I could get the photo, but it also had sour patch gummy bears on it which was incredibly cool. I was happy with the cheddar, brie, and assorted meats but the gummy bears made it unique and fun. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu next time.

While the covering does a great job of shielding you from the sun, we discovered that it's not quite sufficient for heavy rain. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano--a bolder, pleasant wine that paired wonderfully with the stuffed mushrooms and charcuterie board we selected. Although the menu listed the wine as a 2015 vintage, we received a 2019 bottle. The bartender was courteous about the mix-up, and we decided to stick with the 2019. The charcuterie board comes in three sizes, and we opted for the medium one. If you're unsure about the portion sizes, I've included a picture with this review. The charcuterie was an excellent choice, with the olives and cheeses being particular standouts. We also enjoyed the sausage-stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious. Overall, this is a lovely and comfortable place for light snacks and drinks. We look forward to returning in the future.

Like c'mon! Imagine, you can have a cocktail and/or an appetizer and relax reading a book on the couch. Yes, I love this idea, I'm all about it. The place is small but seating is nicely spaced out, it's super cute and cozy, a modern rustic vibe, totally made me want to start my own book club just so I could be the cool person that hosts a gathering here! I came here for a Galentine's Day - Self Love Birthday gathering that was situated in the back room. It's a small room to the back left of the place where 12 people can sit at the three tables and there's a love seat and two chairs with a table accommodating 16 people and a couple more for standing room. We ordered three appetizers at the bar (see my pictures) and everyone ordered a mocktail. They brought the food over to our area but didn't ask who ordered the food or where to put it, they just kind placed it down and walked away. Appetizers were about $8, I was told the Buffalo Chicken Wing dip was not that good but I didn't try it. I ate the Mezza plate and appreciated it, would order again. I think this is a cute date night visit or a bring your bestie and chill kind of place. I'll definitely come back again with a friend to hang out, chat a bit and check out some books!

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.
