    Wine samples & cheese tray
    Shannon R.

I highly suggest a trip to this lovely little winery. Right now during quarantine, they are offering wine sample flights with cheese tray. The selection is wonderful and I love the coffee port. $7 for 5 samples and $6 for the cheese tray. Great deal! The service was also top notch!

I love this business. My best friend wanted me to go with her for a special tasting they were having. We went there this past Friday. The general public could come in and pay $10 each to pair some of their wines with Halloween candy. It was a great experience and I'm glad I came here. The employee's name is Sam. She was so helpful with any questions my friend and I had. She is just as chatty as I was, which was great. Mike Ditonto is the owner and is at the winery often to work and help. He has a great staff. I came here a few times after they opened but I haven't been to the winery in about five years. They have a much larger selection than what I was used to. I remembered the Jest Do It from when I was there last and bought it. I also purchased a bottle of Smashed, a bottle of dessert wine called Temptation, and some small wine bottle stoppers. The Temptations was sweet and perfect. I had a sample of Smashed while at the winery. It was paired with Sour Patch Kids and was so delicious!!! I joined their wine club (for free) too. I'll get invited to a few tastings a year. I'm looking forward to it. Come check out this awesome local winery. You'll love it!!!

    Tastings!

Cute tasting room in the Village of Hamburg! The front is a store full of wine accessories and lots of wines with a small bar to do a tasting. The back had wine making supplies and they occasionally host wine making classes as well. When we stopped in on a snowy Saturday, we were greeted upon walking in and asked what types of wines we liked. We were given a personal tour of all their wines and picked out a few for tasting too. They have a great variety of wines, including lots of blends too!! The shop is also filled with local art, and once a month they pick a new artist to feature their work on a bottle label. Proceeds from sales of that bottle go back to the Hamburg artists. While I picked out a few semi-dry and semi-sweet whites to try, my boyfriend chose all sweets. For $4 you get 5 tastings. They also have a wine club with a lot of perks including a discount on wine releases and invites to special events. Looking forward to stopping in again soon!

My wife and I have been part of the wine club here for a few years now. Quarterly they will have new releases of wines and a nice event to pair food and the new wines. The customer service has always been top notch and it has a great village feel. Every now and then we will just pop in for a quick tasting and get to learn about the wines they have for selection. It is great to get into the detail and specifics of how they select their grapes and what is recommend as a food pairing.

Wanna learn how to make your own wine? This unassuming-but-darling little wine shop, set off a grassy roundabout just off Main Street in Hamburg, has one of the only wine supply stashes I've seen in Western New York. Everything from DIY wine kits to bags of corks is hidden in the back of Ten Thousand Vines. They've also got a classroom upstairs where they host classes to teach you how to use the stuff. The fun thing is, you'd never know it from looking at the outside or the front of the store, which may be why I'm writing this store's first review. It looks just like your standard cute suburban wine shop, complete with friendly owners. Neutral earth tones, watercolors depicting the local flora and fauna, that kind of thing. But in the back -- weird science! Granted, they've got a tasting counter and some cool bottles, so it's worth a stop for any oenophile. But it's that scrappy back room that makes me excited to go back when I have more time to ask questions, try things out, and even take a class myself!

I've been here for a few years in the 90's for there fall festivals i don't know why it took me so long to come back! Had 3 bands playing Saturday we saw the end of the 1st and the second one very good band Black Widow! Had many venders from spices, cookies and cupcakes, candles they were great me and my daughter got some candles and melts from them was called Morning Wood! ,clothes and jewelry, I got a crystal from one vender my daughter got a Buffalo Bill's floor mat for her father for Christmas she also had very pretty coasters we both got one ! Handmade blankets, wooden cutting boards. They had a wine slushy truck and a whole area for wine slushy and beer there too . And can't forget the cannabis spot with edibles. They have a gazebo area that had tables for eating or drinking saw many tables that had bottles of wine they were enjoying outside! They had chiavettas chicken dinners with 2 sides for 17 dollars my daughter got a great looking cheeseburger and got a bud light for 6 dollars. After that we made our way to taste some wine we tried the Edelweiss white sweet grape tastey wine so my daughter bought a bottle for home and also she had 2 glasses of this warm wine called Mereo it was amulled wine with clove, cinnamon and lemon flavors she had something like it before so had to get a bottle of that to go also. The wine area was a little crazy but came back before we left to purchase the 2 bottles when it died down. Over all it was a great afternoon great food, wine ,music, booths brought home some great stuff! I won't wait another 30 years for this great September Festival Thank You Merrit Winery
