Huge wine and liquor store that is well organized and has good prices and a large variety. Sometimes they also have free tastings at the front of the store as well as guided tasting classes in the evenings. The employees are friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to pickup wine or liquor. read more

Did a post COVID restock. We just about ran out of Champagne for our occasional Champagne Thursdays and Triplesec for our favorite Bourbon Cranberry cocktails. I simply placed an order on their website for curbside pickup. It wasn't long before I received an email that my order was ready for pickup. Once I arrived, I called the number in the email and within a couple of minutes someone brought out my order and loaded into my car. If you know what you want, this is a great way to shop. read more

My daughter was overcharged when she purchased a case of Soju. She asked the cashier when she ring her up and was told it's calculated by individual bottle. I drove back to return this case. Of course, they don't care. Got my case at Addy's instead. read more

Horrible service. Nasty workers. Saw a friend in the store who didn't have their id. So they wouldn't sell to me. Been shopping here for 20 years. Not anymore read more

One of my favorite places to stop in for wine selections. I enjoy the large variety of great wines for girls nights or gifts. I was recently at brunch and tried really nice moscato and was pleasantly surprised to find it here. I really love when they are having a tasting. You get the opportunity to try various wine selections, prosecco and other brands. I will say on this particular day it was a bit hard to be "noticed" . Sometimes I think there are misconceptions about the target customer and perhaps that leads to ignoring one person and being overly helpful to another. That has happened to me a few times here, which can be a bit frustrating. But once I am helped I am very pleased with being able to experience different selections. This store stays stocked and always has some sort of special offer. Especially if you are interested in local selections read more

This location is very similar to the Amherst store, but without the Premier Gourmet side. You still have a large assort of wines and spirits. Today's visit was for a seasonal vodka from Ciroc, called Summer watermelon. Thanks go out to Sarah K (Fellow Yelper), for two reasons. First, getting the curbside pickup info for me. Second, recommending this seasonal drink to me. The orderng process was very simple, you have a option for pickup or curbside. After placing your order, you get a confirmation email. This email will let you know your order is being processed, and a follow-up email will be generated shortly on completion. There is a notice that if you place an order after 5pm. The wait time could be up to 2hrs, and possibly next business day pickup. Fortunately for me, i received my order complete 15minutes after I place my order. When arriving at the store (curbside front of building), I called the number on the email. Gave my order number and showed ID, and off I went. Flawless from start to finish. read more

Premium Wine & Spirits - a selection of wines - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Buffalo, New York

They were having a sale. Buy a bottle of wine and get the second (same wine) for $1. It worked. I was drawn in. I had reviewed the flyer they sent beforehand, and had looked on-line as well. Preordered some wine I knew we liked and they had in stock (not part of this sale, but an OK price). The wines for the sale were barely ok. I can see why they were on sale. $13 bottles that had no real taste. No substance. But I continued to peruse the options, hoping maybe a gem or two was hidden in with the rest. There may have been but I did not find it. I did find a few bottles of other wines and spirits, and picked up my preorder, so the trip was not in vain. But I miss the days Premier was one location that really was terrific and had terrific prices all the time. I feel like now its just another huge superstore with impersonal help. read more

I used to go there when I lived in Buffalo but now I use them to send gifts...always a good selection always very cooperative.

This place has such a large selection! Went to get the buffalo bills wine for Christmas presents for my family who are out of town but bills fans. Karen was so helpful in making sure I got the best deal since I had so many bottles to buy! She also provided bags and ribbon to wrap each bottle which was a nice extra touch. Absolutely recommend this place. read more

MARIO! There's usually great people in every store, restaurant, and company. I'm glad I bumped into Mario last night. He's friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. He was perfectly happy to chat with me and patiently answered my questions. Absolutely great guy! In addition, the other staff we interacted with were very helpful as the place is huge and can be a little bewildering if you're looking for something specific, which we were. The kindly pointed us in the right direction every time. Great selection that is well laid out. Great location on Transit Road. Great staff. What more can you ask for?! read more

What's more impressive that rows and rows of wine in a neat and attractive display? If there is one place to go to pick up want in Buffalo, it's a Premier Wine store. Walking in, you'll be astounded one how much wine and spirits they have in stock. Regional? Check. International? Check. Miniature bottles? Check. Sales? Check. Dessert and Ice Wine? Check. I think my only disappointment is that they don't carry specific New York region outside of the Western New York radius, but that's understandable. Also, there no real section for Chinese wine, but the Japanese wine section is pretty decent. read more

There are several reasons to make Premium Wine & Spirits the place to go for parties or to restock the personal cabinet. PW&S has better prices, knowledgeable floor staff, a large selection, and a more organized than the competition. Majority (about 65%) of the building seems to be wine. read more

This is where I buy all my alcohol products because the selection is huge. But I often come for the wine mind classes which are excellent and worth the price, which is free! Mario Peña is the education coordinator and he's working hard to develop interesting classes. Today the class was on wines for Thanksgiving. The speaker was Able Gonzales, who not only works for a wine distributor in Brooklyn, but also owns a Fingerlakes winery along with his family. He knows his wines. He supplied the class with salami , bread and cheese and chocolate along with the six wines we sampled. These classes are offered several times a month, and they are pretty much always filled up to capacity, so sign up a few weeks in advance. Go to the Premier wine minds website to sign up. Make sure you choose the correct location since they each offer classes. To add to the value, the wines sampled in the classes are offered at a good discount to those attending the class read more

My friend (who is 21+) forgot her ID and the employees were very intense about it. We asked them to set the wine aside for us while we retrieved her ID from home. When we returned they did not have the wine set aside like they said they would. After finding our wine again, the cashier rudely told us we weren't allowed back for 24 hours. Our jaws dropped open. Luckily she checked with security and he said it was fine since we both had our IDs this time. We should've walked out and purchased wine at another store. The policy is understandable but the communication and customer service was objectionable. read more

Certainly didn't help with the wine addiction but the prices are phenomenal! The massive 20,000 square foot warehouse is home to one the most extensive liquor displays within the Buffalo region. The prices at Premium are very favorable. With just a slight mark up above cost. There are also frequent sales for various liquors throughout the week. Compared to most other liquor establishments, I was able to locate following @ Premium when other establishments did not carry such items. - 2003 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. - Hendrick's Gin - Plymouth Gin When visiting Premium, head towards the back right of he establishment. This area houses all of Premium's "high end wines" with such notables as a 1995 Louis Roederer Cristal Rose, and a 1995 Chateau Margeaux Borderaux. Customer service was deemed as favorable as employees are aware of where to located any particular liquor. Although certain employee's expertise on a certain liquor may be questionable, their desire to help to the best of their ability should be applauded. Only one note on Premium... Be sure not to get liquor happy. A credit card charge in excess of $300 is not uncommon. read more

Premium Wine & Spirits is our go-to place when stocking up for either a party or the holidays. There are plenty of associates to help on the floor, from wine selection or tasting to locating liquor. * The selection and prices are varied, from the cheapy wines to those behind lock-and-key. * As a "rewards member" you get added discounts -- saving money is always good! * You have to read the rebate info posted carefully, sometimes they're a little misleading: for instance, the Bailey's Irish Cream advertised $20.99 after $5 rebate, but the rebate was actually for the LARGER bottle. Oh well, still sent away for the $3 rebate on the size purchased. * Premium Wine & Spirits are very good about gathering the rebate forms and printing out receipts. I've not been impressed with the cashiers, not very friendly nor helpful like the helpers on the floor, just very meh. Not sure what the thing is with the boxes at the end of each check out. They're quite possessive of the boxes, not a big deal, but they used to be handy to cart your purchase to the car. read more

OK I was in Global wine and spirits earlier today and wanted to stop in here to compare some Scotch prices. Ultimately I was a bit surprised to find out they are on average more expensive on just about all the scotches. Without sale prices I will be buying mine elsewhere. Selection is definitely huge, but for staple scotches I was surprised they were not the cheapest in town. Wine selection is huge here too and they always have a bunch of sales on wine so they are good to go for that. read more

I love this store, for obvious reasons. But, the 3 star rating is for the fact that I never get greeted, I never get asked if I need help and I can't even tell you how many times I've had to crawl on the floor to reach something that's way in the back of the shelf. (not okay) Other than that, the selections are always great! read more

Who doesn't love a huge warehouse full of libations?! I especially love Premier now because I found out they carry my favorite Riesling ever- Washington Hills Late Harvest. Indulged in an bottle of Ancnoc Flaughter, opened it when I got home and the cork was just falling apart. Called immediately to explore options and driving all the way back to get a refund was the only option they gave. I explained it's a long drive for me, I had just happened to be out there. No other solutions offered. I know options are limited but some type of solution other than just that would have been good; they deliver, right? Not a very nice older woman checked me out at the register. Started out by asking my partner "who is this handsome fella? " in reference to me and then demanded to card him (he's in his 30s) even though it was me making and paying for the purchase. Twice I said I'd left my Premier card in my other vehicle and could she please look up my account so my purchase could be properly credited to my account. She refused both requests. Entire exchange was creepy and sketchy. Avoid this place. Prices are the same as your mom and pop liquor store on the corner anyways. read more

First bottle out of the case was good but the next two were vinegar. I called to return the case less the one good bottle, spoke to Drew, NOTICE - check this seller's return and refund policy. They will charge you for any bottle containing less than 75% of the liquid plus all shipping costs. So, potentially a problem at Premium Wines with improper storage as well as a punitive return policy that would escape anyone's attention as no other wine sellers do this. read more

Was there making a $300 purchase. Went through the register and was ready to pay when I needed another gift bag. I went for one at the end of the cashier line and the cashier said "you know it's 9pm". Now granted it was 9:00pm (closing time) but all I had to do was pay. When is it ok to be rude. Went to manager Jon and told him I thought it was rude for him to say that. His response was sorry that you feel that way and that I was over reacting. When did customer service go out the door. Left with out the purchase. Will not go there again. Poor service. Can't wait till amazon sells liquor read more

Good prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a wide selection of wine and liquors. Also, the Gourmet store they own right next door is absolutely amazing, so many amazing cheeses and baked goods and so many other good things to go with the liquor you just bought! read more

Super unpleasant experience today, went in with my little sister, and at the register they asked us both for ID. She's very obviously a minor (12 y/o) and wanted to know if I was her legal guardian. I'm her sister, which doesn't count. So I wasn't allowed to buy even if she went and sat in the car. Now I have no problem with trying to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors, but this has never been enforced before when I've gone, I've had 20 something friends come with me and my sister come in with me before and haven't been carded because they weren't buying. It also seems like a ridiculous policy if the way to get around it, is to just leave your under age person in the car. I considered speaking to a manager, but after the whole thing didn't want to buy from them anymore anyways. read more

If I can give no stars I would. Its funny how all the negative reviews gets deleted. Worse experience ever. I wrote a negative review but it got deleted so Im rewriting it. Management is the worst and the service is terrible. Couldn't buy wine because my aunt who was with me did not have her ID, while I'm clearly over the age of 21 and both my mom and I had our IDs. They told me I had to wait 24 hours to purchase again. I actually went back the next day with my aunt and because my mom wasn't there I couldn't purchase anything!!! (due to the fact that she was with me the day before and they remembered) What kind of BS is that??? Worst system ever! WIll never go back there again. There were several negative posts about this but looks like they all got removed somehow. So ridiculous. Waste of my time. read more

Poor customer service always. No one asks how I am , do I need help. I stopped going there because of this but went back last night. I spent 60 dollars and not even a smile. Not going back.
