Grabbed a flight to try several of their sours. Was a wonderful experience. They had live music and I took so long to drink my flight that I had an opportunity to enjoy several bands that weekend. Staff was very quick and friendly and were very easy to talk to.

    Lots of seasonal brews available

Cool atmosphere with picnic tables and hightops inside, as well as plenty of seating outdoors. I like that they have a water cooler where you can grab a glass whenever you'd like. They also seem to be dog friendly since I noticed a lot of fur on one of the mats when you walk in. Lol. This was a great venue for a union meeting. Since they don't have food we got prepackaged sandwiches from Osteria. Those sammys and chips paired so well with the beer.

Our great cousin Dave passed last week unexpectedly, and the FB was his second home. XRay Dave they called him, and although he was at ease anywhere, this was his go-to. The afternoon after he passed, Aimee and I stopped in to tell them the news and to lift a pint in his honor, and they had the bar set up with his favorite beer and photos of him as well. When we asked Tim if we could have the funeral lunch there, he said anything for Dave. While Rusty Chain has been my go-to draft whenever I see it, I hadn't spent much time in the facility (an upgrade from the original one). It has the most friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere; and you can tell they love their craft and their customers. The board has ~12 beers on tap, and there is also a fridge with cans. High ceilings with Edison lights make the space very welcoming, and the benches ensure you'll meet a new friend when you sit down. Dog-friendly as well! There are also tons of shirts and such; in most of the recent photos of Dave he was proudly wearing one or the other, and he had one on for his final trip home.

Stopped here to hear a friend play in his jazz band. I love the space and that there is a large parking lot. The space on the inside is fantastic and filled with a huge bar, high tops and picnic benches, every kind of seating that you could possibly want in a brewery. Their food menu is limited, but everything that I saw looked good.

Totally awesome spot. Nice space inside and outside. We stopped by on our way to Niagara Falls USA side. There was live music outside and most everyone was out there, we sat by the door and were able to hear the music pretty good and still be able to talk to each other with out yelling bc of the music. I got a flight of beers and my wife got a sour. The beers were pretty good, especially the mango peach kolsch. I like a wide variety of beers so my flight had the kolsch, a lager, IPA, and a porter. If you are in Buffalo for anything I would tell you to check out Flying Buffalo Brewery for sure.

Flying Bison has been having a lot of food trucks and activity going on in their parking lot. I was able to snag some BBQ from Fat Bob's food truck. I've stopped in a few times during the quarantine period and they've been selling beer outside (even in the rain). I highly recommend the new Buffaloha beer (summer in a glass) and Juice Caboose (strong, juicy and flavorful).

Even though I'm not a beer drinker I always enjoy coming here. They do also serve ciders, hard seltzers mule kicker which is one of my favorites. The people are very friendly and you can tell they are passionate about their craft. The restaurant itself has a very limited food menu but if you check them out on social media you will find that there are times they host various food trucks. Usually on Food truck Tuesday you can find most of the food trucks at Larkin Square with the music, but further down at Flying Bison there's a few more. During the public health emergency most places were closed but they stayed open doing curbside orders which I definitely took advantage of as a Larkin resident. But they didn't stop there! They also had many days where they hosted various food trucks such as Kindred Kreek, Anderson's, and Fat Bob's. This was a great distraction to the fact that the usually busy area of Larkin was a ghost town. It also allowed a sense of normalcy during such a difficult time. As things begin to open back up check them out. Starting June 19th they will have their patio open with tent covering and socially distant tables set up on Fridays and Saturdays.

I've come here a few times now mainly for trivia events. The place is spacious and the seating is roomy which I appreciate. The bar is great. I personally like their kolsch. They even have some small food items like mozzarella sticks and pretzels. Pretzels were not my cup of tea but the mozzarella sticks are decent. Side note: the trivia is NOT for the younger crowd. Id say majority of the questions are aimed at people born before 1970.

Their newest beer is the Chocolate Cherry Porter. Come take a sip.

I came here two days ago to pick up their newest release. It's their Chocolate Cherry Porter and it's great!! I wanted to buy a four pack but asked if I could try some first. I liked it so I bought two four packs. (Support local, right?) I was here once for a group run in mid-July. That was nice. They do have some food offerings. Currently they have small bags of Doritos and other chips for purchase because you have to buy some kind of food in order to drink alcohol during the pandemic. I've tried some of their foods here and they're good. I've tried many of their beers. I prefer the beer I bought today, their Spot Coffee stout and their Paula's Donuts Red Velvet Ale beer. I like that they have non-alcohol options but I haven't tried any of those. Flying Bison hosts the Run 716 15K every year in early August. It's a fun race with a great after party. The after party is outside with the employees pouring beer for the runners. There is a band and an emcee. I've been here for a few group runs that the brewery hosts. I came here for a workout hosted by Revolution Buffalo. The tables were moved aside and there were many people exercising inside the tasting room/brewery. A who dun-it murder mystery bus tour started at this brewery. The actors explained what happened when the tour got rolling as everyone had a beer or drink. I did that a couple years ago with friends. It was a great experience. There are many other events held here throughout the year that I haven't participated in but I might. They have about six tables here or you can stand at the bar area, where you order your drinks and food. They have a lot of parking in their own lot, back lot or you can parking on the street near here. There was a band a few times when I was here and it was a bit too loud to converse with friends. The staff is great, as is the owner Tom Herzog. I toured their old brewery on Ohio Street with friends years ago and he led a great tour. I hope to tour the current location someday. This location is great with great offerings. Come check it out sometime soon to whet your whistle.

Probably one of my favorite breweries in Western New York! They also have a wide variety of beers (not just IPAs) and a great space for hanging out (both indoors and outdoors) not to mention great prices! Tim Herzog, the owner, is very knowledgeable and I got the pleasure of going on a tour of the facility this past Wednesday, which was really a treat! I also love that they have their own lot and free parking all around if that's full. They might not have much in the way of food besides your typical munchies, but if you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday, food trucks can be found in their lot or across the street at Larkin Square. Love Flying Bison, there is a reason why they have been such a fixture in buffalo for so many years.

    Excellent beer drinking song

We have come here twice now for "Beer Choir." The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus sings and patrons are invited to sign along. There are songbooks available at the door so you can follow along, and the words are also up on the big screen. The songs are mostly about drinking beer. Lots of fun is had by all!

    Couple snacks for me.

I don't drink beer, but I do eat plenty of snacks and drink a ton of root beer when given the chance. I ended up coming to Flying Bison Brewing Company on Thursday to celebrate one of my co-workers leaving for a new opportunity. My visit did not start off very good as the first thing I did was order a Sarniac ginger beer (which was located directly behind the counter) and being told they didn't have that, even though I was physically pointing to it. The girl actually got pretty mad that I asked for it twice and then just gave me root beer. The best part came not 45 second later when somebody else I was with asked her for the exact same thing and was handed it.....what? I spent most of my trip here outside which was nice. They have a bunch of large picnic tables to drink, have snacks, or even bring food from the outside and eat on, which I thought was super cool. I got pretty hungry after an hour and decided to give one of there polish pizza things and a pretzel a try, both things I regret not getting as soon as I walked through the front door. The polish pizza basically looked like a crescent with tomato sauce on it, but none the less it tasted really good and was super hot. I really loved the pretzel as it was super fresh, super hot, and super soft. Overall, everyone I was with was generally pretty happy with the experience, I was happy with the food, and minus my interaction with the one girl behind the bar the staff seemed pretty friendly. One thing I do know is that I will be back very soon for more of those pretzels!

Stopped in for a beer during Food Truck Tuesday. All beers were $5 and in a plastic cup if you wanted to go out to the trucks. . Any beer here is a great choice! My favorites are Juice Caboose but it's a small batch so if you see it try it. I also love the Spot Coffee Stout if you like a good tasting beer this is it!

I've been on quite a few wine tours over the years, and it does take a certain personality to be able to do it well - but Rich was able to entertain AND be personable. He was professional AND endearing. He was always engaged in what we thought of each stop, and his relationship with the people at the breweries/distilleries/wineries seemed genuine. And whether it was him or just the smaller size, It honestly felt like we were treated better, being a part of Rich's group, then being in a group of 50 coming off a tour bus.   The stops were all great. I had some reservations about a few, but was honestly able to find something I loved at each location. Not to mention, the price is extremely competitive with all of the other tours I was researching. The van we were in was even fancy and brand new. If you're looking for something just a little different than your standard wine tour, I cannot recommend them enough.

We started out at VB Brewery, where we enjoyed our flight of awesome beer, and then had a tour of the brewing facility itself (where we got a secret extra tasting!). From there, we headed to Lost Borough, where the beer was equally amazing (and a few of us may have ordered from Sticky Lips right around the corner, which is totally encouraged!). The final stop of the day was over in Webster at Knucklehead Craft Brewing. This brewery had my favorite beer of the day, the Knockout Stout. This brewery also has a kitchen where they serve some awesome food as well! I would definitely recommend TourRoc to anybody who is interested in craft beer, or to anybody who is interested in learning more about it and the Rochester beer scene in general. Probably the best thing about TourRoc is you literally just have to show up and you're set. Your ticket price includes EVERYTHING - luxury transportation, a flight of beer at each brewery (or for those of you who are gluten free, wine, cider, or cocktails as available), snacks and water on the tour bus, and all tips for the driver and tour director. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages (alcoholic or not) on the tour bus as well! However, our beer knowledge is limited to Coors Light and Corona so this tour will give us an opportunity to learn more about this concoction. We didn't quite know what to expect on this tour as it was rainy and a bit cold (not bad for a late October day however). We met the group and our guide in front of Steamwhistle Brewery at 11am. Our guide Noah (AKA Chris) was there to greet us. Along with my wife and I, there were 7 other people that were there to be part of the tour. Noah introduced himself, took us inside and led us upstairs where he told us about the company and Oliver, a little bit of a beer history of Toronto and what we will be doing on this tour. BTW, as soon as you arrive upstairs, they provide you with a beer. This is a sign for things to come... A guide from Steamwhistle, Dan, came to tell us about the company and lead us to a tour of the facility. This took approximately 40 minutes and once we came back to the room upstairs, Noah had lunch prepared for us. Lunch consisted of charcuterie: Pretzels buns, assorted meats and cheeses. Let's just say nobody was disappointed as it was very good. Then, we left and hopped into a yellow school bus. This was going to be our mode of transportation for the rest of the tour. Our driver Clem (I believe that was his name) was awesome. Our next stop was Fort York. Noah took us to a little tour of the museum and explain to us the history of Toronto in the 1800's and its relation with beer. No beer tasting in this stop. Afterwards, we went to a driving tour of Corktown and its history. This particular section of the tour wasn't long for us but it depends on the Downtown traffic. It wasn't bad for us. Later, we were dropped off at the Distillery District. We went to Izumi or Ontario Spring Water Sake Company first to taste some Sake. A worker from Izumi, Godfrey, told us about the company and the process of making Sake. We got to sample 3 different types of Sake: Nama-Nama, Genshu and Teion Sakura. Our second stop within the Distillery was Mill St. pub. where Noah offered us the different types of beers that Mill St. offers and the how it differs from each other via process and taste. We had some pretzels bites for appetizers. Then we had some time to explore the Distillery before leaving for our last stop. The manufacturing facility is in Scarborough so therefore it is out of the way. We departed the Distillery for Amsterdam Brewery in Leaside. Here, as Noah warned us earlier, the beers come fast and hard. There's no tour of the facility because they only have it twice a day and it doesn't fit this tour. However, Noah led us with the sampling of around 7 (I believe) Amsterdam beers. The most interesting one was Fracture. My wife and I took part of the optional meal at the Granite Brewery in Yonge and Eglinton. A full meal with another sampling of 4 beers. Noah was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. He made sure to keep our group relaxed and focused at the same time. He was also time conscious which is a must leading a tour group. He made sure that we were all enjoying the tour plus he was very quick to learn all of our names. This tour goes from 11am to 6pm so be prepared but they have staggered the stops at a perfect pace that you never feel like you are in a rush to get to another location. This tour is not cheap but it's worth it. You will sample more than enough beer and I don't think anyone from our group felt that they were not giving us enough beer at any time. Actually, most of us felt the opposite, that it was too much beer. You will be getting a history lesson about beer and its place in Toronto. Even though I gave 5 stars, they could improve the tour by offering more food along the stops and somehow including the tour of the Amsterdam brewery into the tour. We really don't do anything at Amsterdam besides just sit and drink the offered beers. Kudos to the Old Toronto Beer Tour Company and Noah for creating this wonderful tour and making my wife very happy! You saved me from having me sleep in the couch for a few days. Highly recommended.
