There are many tours that take you to places but I found a very 'humane' element in Portage tours. Susan and Jeff are really nice and courteous hosts. I was all set to take an Uber to get to the start location but Susan told me that they'd pick me up from my home! It's very rare to see that level of courtesy in today's times where everything is about profits. They even dropped me home after the tour. Loved them. Susan is very knowledgeable about wines. Gave us a good lesson on what wine constitutes of and how we need to swirl, smell, move the wine in the mouth and think. It was funny when we tried doing all of that and forgot a step or two and just guzzled it down without any thinking:) The bus is well equipped. Jeff is a safe driver. I also got a discount because the tour that I booked in Sept didn't happen bec of the weather. I forgot to apply the discount code but Susan remembered and gave me some cash back. Very professional and helpful. We visited 3 vineyards and had lunch at a nice restaurant. It wasn't hurried. The pace was great. None of us were too tipsy with wine. The climate was fabulous! Highly recommend this group! They know their business but they are also very people friendly. Great combination!! :)

Went on the "Tour De Beer" with some friends over the weekend. The Portage Tours crew did an amazing job with this tour! The first stop was the Genesee Brew House where our group tried some of their delicious brews and got a great tour of their pilot batch system. So cool! We next went to Fifth Frame, one of the cities newest breweries where we tried some of the best local beer I have ever had. After that we went to Lost Borough and Three Heads and enjoyed flights at each. At Three Heads, a knowledgable brewery employee gave us a tour of the brewery and told us about the history of Three Heads! The crew at Portage Tours did an incredible job putting together this tour! The bus was super comfortable and there were complimentary snacks and water bottles for guests. There was even a specially designed compartment on the bus where I could store a growler I picked up at one of the breweries! They though of EVERYTHING! The tour guide, Jeff was extremely personable and very knowledgeable about both craft beer in Rochester and Rochester culture and history, which was carefully woven into the tour. I can't say enough about how great this was. Great people, great breweries. An absolutely amazing time I will never forget! Cheers!

Hit wineries, a distillery and a brewery which was nice. Driver (Darryl) was a very nice guy even if he forgot my name and started calling me 'Steve' halfway through. That was pretty funny for the guys even if it was at my expense. Bus had plenty of room too, and we stayed on schedule without it being overbearing or annoying. Price point was fair given this was a 1/2 day tour with food/alcohol included. Brewery and distillery options couldn't have been better. Wagner brewing makes one of the best examples of hefeweizens I've had anywhere. Really great tap room overlooking the lake as well. Got a cheese plate there which was packed like shit in to-go containers, which belied the really good array of cheese, meat and accoutrements it included. Finger Lakes distilling was shockingly good. Their repertoire of whiskeys, including aged options, different styles (ie: pot stilled, applejack) and experiment stuff (cannoli whiskey) was superb. Had whiskey infused cigars here too which were awesome. I bought a shit ton of stuff from their. Surprisingly, I wasn't as thrilled with the wineries. Zugibe was respectable but paled to others nearby like Thirsty Owl; what threw me off was that the reds were much better than the whites there. Food there was gyros, which was odd but oddly good at least. Belhurst was probably the worst single winery I've ever been to, with the worst wine I've tried. Wine had a soapy taste and was cloyingly sweet. Bartender was snotty, rattled off some canned crap she memorized that was largely irrelevant, and didn't really know anything about wine. Place was largely a freaking gift shop, so no clue why they thought this was a good addition. Would use these guys again as Darryl was a sweetheart, and maybe just direct them a bit more in terms of what we're looking for. I am 100% fine with the emphasis being on beer/liquor, however the groom-to-be was more of a wine person in this case. Very workable either way.

We started out at VB Brewery, where we enjoyed our flight of awesome beer, and then had a tour of the brewing facility itself (where we got a secret extra tasting!). From there, we headed to Lost Borough, where the beer was equally amazing (and a few of us may have ordered from Sticky Lips right around the corner, which is totally encouraged!). The final stop of the day was over in Webster at Knucklehead Craft Brewing. This brewery had my favorite beer of the day, the Knockout Stout. This brewery also has a kitchen where they serve some awesome food as well! I would definitely recommend TourRoc to anybody who is interested in craft beer, or to anybody who is interested in learning more about it and the Rochester beer scene in general. Probably the best thing about TourRoc is you literally just have to show up and you're set. Your ticket price includes EVERYTHING - luxury transportation, a flight of beer at each brewery (or for those of you who are gluten free, wine, cider, or cocktails as available), snacks and water on the tour bus, and all tips for the driver and tour director. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages (alcoholic or not) on the tour bus as well! It's obvious that the detail that went into creating the TourRoc experience that the owners truly love Rochester and have a passion for local craft beer. Can't wait to go on my next tour!

He made the booking process incredibly easy and was fully transparent about pricing and policy (was not surprised with any hidden charges even at the end of the trip). He picked us up right on time at our hotel and offered us bottled waters and some restaurant recommendations around Niagara Falls, which was so considerate! We are out of town so we did not really know the area very well so his recommendations made it SO much easier for us to enjoy our trip without any added hassle. He also graciously made any stops we requested despite it not being on our official itinerary. We were so highly impressed with Enzo's professionalism and character that we asked if he was available the next day but unfortunately he was fully booked (AND FOR GOOD REASON!). My family and I all agreed that this day spent with Enzo in Niagara Falls was the highlight of our trip. Definitely the best limousine and transportation service I have ever used and would highly recommend to anyone! We shared the Fairport Lunch, drank seltzer water and beer and shared the boat with a group on a surprise tour that ended on the canal tour. This trip was completely different from my previous one in the opposite direction. The experiences were different and the colors of the foliage enviable; gold, reds, oranges. The weather was perfect, partly cloudy, and then the sun broke and warmth came up and we had a sunny day Toward the end of the ride, the wind started to pick up. Along the way there were historical facts given by the crew. And we sang the famous "Low Bridge" song I was very happy, and my friend was also impressed with the trip. I highly recommend this tour.

I especially loved seeing the bridge go up and down, and i really enjoyed being able to move around the boat with access to indoor and outdoor spaces so I could have a great view.
