I made a reservation March 14th for Easter (April 9th), specifing it was Easter when I wanted the reservation. They took my reservation without hesitation and repeated confirming it was Easter as well. My whole family came up from out of town, we had our whole day planned around this dinner. When we got there, it was closed. No one called me, no one told me my reservation was cancelled, leaving my family disappointed and having frozen pizzas Easter day instead. When I called the next day to ask why I was not notified they were closed and why my reservation was taken, all I got was an simple "I'm sorry" and the manager talking over me before I even finished explaining the situation saying easter was blocked off (basically telling me I didn't have a reservation). He finally did find my reservation, repeating the day, party size, and time I made it for correctly. He did say the girl that took my reservation was no longer with them. He also told me it was canceled through open table and I was notified, which I was not. He then told me I wasn't notified because there was no phone number or email taken down for me. The employee taking my reservation never asked for one and who really thinks to provide your email when making a reservation if not asked. You would think talking to the manager, something other than a simple im sorry would be provided. My whole family did not get a dinner excepted because of one of there employees (or maybe even multiple), you would think someone would notice in the reservation book someone was on for a day this restaurant isn't even open. Terrible customer service, we were hoping for maybe a free entree at the very least, showing they truly are sorry we had frozen pizzas for Easter instead of a nice meal, my family didn't drive up all the way for that. We never got to try Pasquale's and after this experience we never will. read more

Pasquale's used to be well known for their pizzas at their old West Seneca location, but since they have moved and opened up their restaurant serving some wonderful dishes including stuffed hot pepper shells (one of my favorites there). Add that to your pizza and I think you will find a new winning combination. There pizzas are still just as good, if not even better. Located at the corner of the Seneca St & Hilldale Ave at the traffic light makes getting in and out of this busy location fairly simple. read more

I was surprisingly underwhelmed by Pasquale's. I was looking for a good wings/pizza place in the Buffalo area on our way to Niagara Falls. The yelp reviews were good and the food sounded even better. Unfortunately for me I don't think it lived up to the praise. With that said there were some highlights to our visit. The wings were delicious. The sauce was spicy, yet sweet. They were perfectly fried and super moist. They were so good I gorged myself on them and probably ate enough to keep me satisfied for about a year. The pizza, however, was not so great. I hate to say it but the crust was very comparable to Pizza Hut. A thick, buttery crust. I couldn't stop thinking about it every bite I took. The toppings were mediocre. Half was mushroom and pepperoni the other half was sausage and green pepper. The mushroom was from a can and tasteless. All of the toppings rested on top of the cheese so there wasn't really melding of flavors. A thick crust pizza with a lot cheese and toppings just sprinkled on top. I can't remember the pizza sauce at all. I do remember liking the cheese. It was a delicious mozzarella. Very plentiful and of good quality. The pepperonis were also the yummy little grease bowls. Yet, overall, a disappointing pizza. The service was decent. Our server seemed really shy and somewhat sad. It took a little while to get our food. We were hoping to get our wings as an appetizer but they came out the same time as the pizza. Our table was overflowing. It was a decent meal and I think if I were to ever go back I would opt for one of their salads or pasta dishes. We started with the tuscan salad which we enjoyed quite a bit. It comes with fresh apple slices, walnuts, craisins, and bleu cheese crumbles on top. I really liked the flavor of their vinaigrette dressing, it complimented the salad well. If you are an Italian sausage lover, I highly recommend the stuffed hot pepper pizza. The peppers had just the right amount of kick and the sausage was very flavorful. We also ordered the veggie pizza and it was just okay. The veggies were still a bit on the raw side, would've been better if they were cooked a bit more, but still a good pizza overall. Our server was great and very attentive too. Pasquale's is a great restaurant to try. My friend order ordered the scallop shrimp Milan and it was great. I ordered chicken marsala. It was extremely good. We also ordered the sausage bread as an appetizer, which was tasty. I had minestrone soup and my guest had salad with Italian dressing. Everything tasted amazing as usual and the service was average. I like Pasquale's, Its not Fancy, Its not Expensive, its moderately Priced and simple food. Not even a 10 minute drive from my House. I mostly come cuz I love Italian Food (the pastas might not be homemade but the Sauces are), also cuz my Neighbor Joe Kreppel works there as a waiter (he don't play around). These are my favorites to get: Calamari (Its a cliché for me to get this everytime I go out to an Italian Restaurant, gentle little Cephalopod fried to Perfection with Marinara and Sweet Chili dipping sauces on the side) Shrimp Scampi (who doesn't love Shrimp coated in Garlic Butter and put over Angel Hair Pasta). Sometimes my Grandma can't make up her mind she usually gets the Seafood Trio (Garlic Parmesan Crusted Haddock, Shrimp Scampi and Scallops) my Uncle would get would be a plate of Spaghetti or the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. One of the best I've had here was the Linguine & Clams (There must been like 4 dozen clams on that plate, so much delectable Briny Goodness in each bite). I had to use a lot of bread to sop it up. My least favorite things on the menu were the Crabmeat Alfredo with Fettuccine (Alfredo is one of the heaviest sauces you'll ever eat) but the reason why I didn't like it is because there wasn't enough Crab (like 6 or 7 tiny pieces). Also that Burger I had last time I was there had way too many Peppers and Onions on it. I also enjoy getting a Martini or a glass of Lambrusco to go with my meal when I'm there. I mostly come here when I don't feel like going out for an expensive meal. Next time I come in I'm gonna get plate of Linguine & Clams (I'm gonna need a lot more Bread than) !!! read more

So we ordered takeout from here when we were craving Italian. We have eaten here a few times, always been a great experience. The main reason we ended up ordering from here was because they had GF Raviolis which are hard to find and I'm GF. My boyfriend got the shrimp Alfredo which he really enjoyed and was a generous portion. Although, my GF ravioli was very good. It was literally 5 small raviolis......for $15. I was disappointed it didn't specify the portion size, esp since I waited to eat so I had room for my big Italian meal! I understand GF pasta dishes tend to be more expensive to make but they should have just made it more expensive and a larger portion....I felt like I ordered from the kids menu. Apparently this place is now RESERVATIONS ONLY. We wanted to eat there on Oct 22 around 5 pm. Upon arriving, 4 young ladies were at the podium, majority of tables empty. We said we were a party of 3 and asked if we had a reservation, we said no, as we were on our way to do errands. They said if we didn't have a reservation we would have a two hour wait....WHAT!!!. As I stated Majority of tables were empty, were they expecting the whole restaurant to fill up in the next few minutes? No one was waiting either. I told the ladies, they should be holding tables for walk ins, that's no way to do business. We went elsewhere. Then, we had to do a take out order on the way from our "other" dining establishment, tried calling to place order all the way. Kept saying they were "busy", use online ordering, HUH, I'm in the car, I can't order on the internet. We chance it, get there, again, no one waiting in the take out section, placed order and got it in 10 minutes. What? Been going there for years, out of convenience, but now, we're done. I am proud to be the first person to write a review of Pasquale's. I grew up coming here and I lived off of their food for nearly 20 years. It started as a takeout place with like 4 tables now it's a restaurant and it's packed every single night. In western new york, fast food is king. I no longer live there and I've traveled extensively. Nowhere does the quality of junk food surpass that of Buffalo, New York. Be it hot dogs, roast beef, pizza, subs or, of course, wings, Buffalo owns everyone. Yes, they beat NY in pizza, don't believe me? Go there and take the pepsi challenge and be sure to start at Pasquale's. Best Pizza in Buffalo and for that matter, the world. Pepperoni comes crispy out of the oven, cooked enough to bend the edges into little bowl shaped deliciousness treats. It also cooks a lot of the grease off, unlike in NY where they let it sit all over the top of the pie. The cheese is made in a factory about 3 miles from the place, don't know if that makes it better, but it may be why there is so much cheese on each pizza. Not too much, but the right amount, with the right amount of salt. Unsalted cheese is like eating paste in Kindergarten. The sauce and crust are especially perfect, I won't try to articulate it, you just have to eat it and take a moment to reflect. Honestly it would be worth flying to Buffalo. Don't forget to have a chicken finger sub and an order of wings. You'll find that like many of the chicken wing artisans in Buffalo, Pasquale's puts their own spin on this delicacy. Only people in buffalo have the right to do that, because no one outside of Buffalo seems to be able to get it right. Wings + Deep Fryer + Frank's hot sauce = that's just too much to compute outside of 716. Let's bake 'em instead... Eat a turd, you're better off, for wings are meant to be fried to golden perfection and tossed in some form of Frank's hot sauce. I've been here a few times but have never done a review. I came here most recently with a group of 12 in the middle of the afternoon, so it wasn't very crowded. The service was decent, but it could've been better with hardly anyone in the restaurant! Most of my family got salads since we weren't hungry for a whole meal. I got the Caesar salad and it was very good! It was pretty big too! The only reason they lose a star is because they brought our whole group their food, except for my dad. And he had to sit there and wait for 10 extra minutes while everyone else was eating. It was a little annoying, but other than that it was all good! read more

Was decent I would say. I had the caprese salad over spinach to start with which was nice. The pasta fagiole soup tasted great but was too heavy on the beans I thought. Then I had the veal with stuffed shells which was a veal parm with some large macaroni shaped shells stuffed with ricotta cheese. The breading on the veal once scraped off was good and so were the shells. Everything was under about a 1/2 pound of melted mozza and a heavy meat sauce. Real good service. What a great place. We were directed here by the staff at the nearby Country Inn & Suites. If you like Italian you have to visit Pasquale's. Upon arriving we were greeted by a wonderful hostess who seated us quickly and introduced us to our waitress. Once our drink orders were taken we were given the opportunity to look over the menu or consider the lunch specials. I had the Italian Melt with a salad and fries which was outstanding. Our waitress attended to our every need without being intrusive. After talking with some of the locals, I wished we had time to try one of their Pizza's. Everyone says they are the best in Buffalo. The noise level was high due to crying children in the background. The soup was cold so the server gave me a salad at my request. It took 50 minutes to get the main dish after the salad arrived. So she kept giving us bread because she felt bad. We ate like 4 breads because the food was so late. The main dish the Italian trio was half cold. The Alfredo was cold !! Quality was poor. We have been coming to Pasquale's for years. Lately I feel the service has taken a big dip in quality. Our visit early on Saturday evening is the perfect example. We came in at 5 expecting a wait (lots of early diners here). There was a 20 min wait so we happily headed to the bar where we were left to wait while the bartender talked to his buddy (the only other person at the bar). We were never offered a wine list or drink menu. Eventually we got the "what can I get cha" question. When I asked if he had a Montepulciano I was treated to what I took to be a snide remark from said buddy. I mean really where are manners there days. I got my $9.75 pour with little care from the bartender. Just not a warm experience. We were then taken to a two top and when I pulled out my chair it was wet with some kind of liquid spill. When I pointed it out the hostess she said "do you want me to bring you napkins so you can clean that up?" What? I pointed out that this wasn't my spill- it was on the chair when I pulled it out. She really didn't understand the issue. She brought me paper napkins. I asked her to clean the chair. She was not happy. Nor was I. We then sat for an interminable amount of time. Clearly we were not assigned to any server. I did finally ask one of the runners to check on our server. When she did arrive we got no preamble- no specials- no "would you like water" or "can I bring you another drink". Just "ready to order??" Well yes we are since we've been sitting here for a long time. And the meal was ok - not up to their standards. No follow up from the MIA server (we think she had large tables in the back so maybe it was a staffing problem) but overall just very disappointing for this staple Italian restaurant. The food is your standard Italian menu, over priced noodles covered in sauce. The wings are good, but it's kind of hard to screw up boneless wings. The food is decent, but for the price I had hoped it was better. The pasta I had ordered was bland and cold, my salad was more than disappointing, my server was very rude and short (which I don't understand. This is your job, wouldn't you want to treat your customers well so you get a decent tip?) it seemed like she had better things to do than take our order and refill our drinks. If you're passing by and need food from here, your best bet is wings or pizza. That way you don't end up with dirty silverware that you have to use to eat your food. Why they think it's okay to roll dirty silverware is beyond me. read more
