Awesome subs! They make the rolls which are much wider and longer than any I've had before! I got the Royal, very delicious loaded with two thick, long sausage patties and plenty of capicola I added bacon just because the wife got the chicken parm which was also huge and loaded with chicken and cheese! Frequent customer of this location. Stopped in on Feb. 19 around 5pm (ish) and were the only customers. Took a minute for someone to bring the menus. We closed the menus almost immediately because we knew what to order. Sat there another eight minutes or so with no staff coming into the dining area. Two other customers arrived and a few minutes later a wait staff comes out to them, hands them menus, gets their drink order, and then took their order. She never acknowledged us, choosing instead to go back into the kitchen. We got up and left. I went to Santaora's website, but they do not have a way for customers to private message them. read more

My standing dinner date after school with my kiddos brought us here today. Our server Brianna was very nice and attentive. The dining area here is nice. Kiddos had medium boneless chicken and I had half a meatball parm sub. When my sub came out at first I wasn't sure it was what I ordered because of how it appeared. The presentation of my sub was more like a meatball pizza on sub bread. I like santoras sauce which is on the sweeter side. All in all it was a nice visit. So we walked in, and Katie sat us down. She asked us if we wanted anything to drink -we said Diet Coke -she said OK -then I asked her if it was Coke or Pepsi, because I remembered I'm in Buffalo -and she said it's Pepsi. Is she clueless? There's a difference. First of all, there are no prices on the menu. Ridiculous. You have to scan to see the prices. So when you scan the prices aren't there. We asked Katie who was clueless. She did not want to work there she had no idea about the prices - and had to ask- so we left. I then called and asked for the manager who then just listen to me talk about how bad their service is, and how they're not training their staff ...and they pretty much didn't care. I visited Santora's pizza last Friday as a change from our standard local pizza place. We decided to have a sit down dinner there and ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was not too busy for a Friday so there was not any wait. We noticed that there was only one waitress on duty, so she had a bunch of tables to serve. She seemed very friendly taking to several regulars. The restaurant has 4 tvs... 2 on each side of the dining room. There was music playing in the dining room as well, so we could not hear the tv.... Probably should have subtitles on in that situation. The pizza was good, but the pepperoni was a little burnt. My wife had a glass of sangria, which she said was good.. but we thought the glass could have been filled with more sangria. I would go there again, but will be hitting other pizza joints in the meantime. read more

Tasteless overpriced food. We ordered a medium pizza with sausage and pepperoni, which was an additional $2.50 each on top of $17 for pizza (6 slices)! The only good thing I can say about the pizza was the amount of pepperoni and sausage you got. It was doughy, the sausage very salty and very little sauce. We ordered 15 wings for $24 and they were some of the smallest overdone wings we've ever had! I had the cheeseburger sub, which was not bad except the roll was doughy and tasteless. Terrible choice of roll... When I called to order chicken parmesan and asked what type of pasta comes with it. They said no pasta does... Huh? So I requested spaghetti. That too was tasteless. Little pizzeria in Buffalo. We came in on a Sunday and the service was quick! We ordered a salad. The homemade Italian dressing resembled more of an Italian dip for bread. We went for drinks and to see a band. Very disappointing. Paid the $5 cover charge but couldn't get anywhere near the band to even catch a glimpse. Bought drinks ($16 for an Old Fashion). Sanatoras on Transit has been around for as long as I can remember! We have not eaten in the restaurant in quite sometime, therefore I am unsure of the sit down service or the feelings and/or ambiance. We order here more often than not. Local small pizza shop with a dining room- this has been a good spot to stop in for pizza shop staples for a long time. There pizza has always been one of the better ones, and the same goes for their wings- they even listen when you ask for wings to be extra crispy, sauce on the side, etc. They also have an excellent fried dough dessert which is more than enough for four people. Prices are reasonable, and one of my favorite parts is that the offer a 5 wing option, or a 3 finger option- they don't force you to order 10 or 5 respectively like most other places. read more

I've been coming to Santoras for, well, most of my life. Santoras and Picassos are owned by brothers. Santoras has a very saucy pizza and a sweet sauce. They use cup pepperoni and it is always done on the well side. Nothing like some crispy burnt pepperoni on your pizza. The pizza is consistent. It will be the same every time you get it. The owner is always on site and he is always watching what his staff is doing. If you want traditional Buffalo pizza, this is the place to get it. read more

Yesterday we arrived at at 6:00 pm and the place is full. We completely understand that it is busy however, there were three employees drinking soda and one lady working the dining room. We literally sat for 20 minutes with not even an acknowledgment that we were there. The server walked past our table three times with not even saying she would be there shortly or something. It was disheartening since we had a guest from out of town and we were excited to have them try their food. We always spoke highly of Santora's. . We were totally ignored and that is not how you run a business no matter how busy you are. We hope that management will review this and make changes accordingly. This is another instance in which I wish Yelp had a half star option, because this is definitely a 3.5/5 star pizza joint, in my opinion! Santora's has been a beacon in the pizza world of Depew/West Seneca/Elma. One of the older businesses, and a classic that people around here remembered eating when they were growing up. Their pizza is average. On the saucy side, and it is sweet (which is never really my preference when I'm eating a slice of pizza). Their wings are good, a little greasy, but worth trying. Their real shining moments exist in their subs and chicken fingers! I absolutely love them. Nothing compares to their chicken finger sub, I've had a hard time finding another I've liked as much. I don't usually dine in here, but I will say the staff they have working take out/in the kitchen can be sort of miserable. They're young and I get it: food industry in high school/college isn't fun. They've definitely intimidated me more than once because of how unhappy they are. The chicken finger sub is always worth it though. read more

This is based on a "Grub Hub" order. I have dined here however it's been years - maybe 20? Anyway. Ordered through GH last evening. The prices were very high. $94.00 for a large cheese/pepperoni pizza, 15 wings, a spaghetti dinner and a chicken parm dinner. I understand that fees are added but all things considered, very pricey. My daughter calls to confirm the order with Santora's, there was a question regarding the wings. The entire order is reviewed and all seems to be in order. Not to be the case. Order arrives in a timely fashion missing one dinner - chicken parm. A call to the restaurant is made and a refund is promised -still waiting for it - and it doesn't help that someone is going without dinner. I can't blame the delivery service, they pick up and deliver. They don't prepare or package the food. Whenever a call is made to any restaurant regarding a missed meal - refunds are promised yet somehow fail to appear. The food itself? Good. Pizza was decent. Ripped me off this weekend. Had a coupon for free breadsticks with any size cheese and on topping pizza. Guy on the phone says it's only a large, I read him the coupon. We've ordered from Santora's lots of times but this is the first I'm writing a Review! A few weeks back we ordered a party pizza, half cheese half pep and it was a hit. We had it delivered and the delivery woman was very friendly and arrived sooner than we expected which was nice because we were hungry! Last night we ordered a large white pizza. Again, it was excellent. The crust was fluffy and crisp, the pizza had the right amount of cheese and tomato as well. Not being from Buffalo I've never been a fan of the Buffalo style pizzas my boyfriend likes. However Santora's has converted me. Zesty sauce (not sweet!), generous toppings, crispy crust. They make a delicious pizza really. Also if you call to order your food is often ready to go in 13 minutes flat even though they say 25 on the phone so call as you're walking out the door! Antipasto salad is good -- though not much lettuce. Italian dressing goes well and seems homemade. The kitchen sink pizza is loaded with toppings and very tasty though the menu claims it contains pepperoni and sausage and the two times we've ordered it we couldn't find a trace of either. Have been using them for Bills tailgates as they are very flexible with an early enough pickup in order to get to the games before traffic explodes. They are always nice and accept the call in the night before and its always on time. They cook your food to your specification -extra crispy wings and well done pizza. The pizza and wings have been great and everyone looks for me when I drive up knowing what I bring to the table. I have also ordered for get togethers at home and its always been great as well. I do appreciate them working with me during the season as not many others do go out of their way for it.
