This time we had the Gnocchi and the Seafood Alfredo. Both were very good! The staff are very professional and all around nice people.

We loved the ambience and had great service but the food fell short. It was straight out of the Cisco truck-cans/jars of sauce and the chicken parm was not fresh but previously frozen. What a bummer-we wanted to love this place! read more

Pasquale's was a miss for us. The calamari was heavy while the chicken parm and lasagna were too salty. My husband who loves cheese thought the lasagna was too cheesy. None of the dishes we ordered were satisfying. read more

We stumbled across this place looking for another place. I think it's relatively new. The decor inside was super cute. We had amazing service and the appetizer we got was, oh my gosh! So delicious. It was a very unique dish that I want to drive all the way back up to get again. And again. It had cheese, beets, and blackberries. I don't recall the name, but I guess the chef created it. It is on the suite side, so if you don't like super sweet, it may not be your thing. But I could eat this all day long! Since I can't have gluten, I got a dish with gluten-free pasta. The waitress recommended, this chicken broth with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. It was kind of bland. But the fact that I could safely eat at an Italian place, was great! I think I would just try something different next time. My boyfriend got the seafood pasta, but only with prawns in it. He liked his quite a bit. We finished off with some sorbet, which was also delicious! We will definitely come back again! read more

Best Italian food ever -we just wanted to go to Auburn to get some lunch found this on yelp and you won't be disappointed. It is true authentic Italian food. read more

Nope. We had dinner at Pasquale's tonight &, unless you're into slow, inattentive service, I wouldn't recommend. We had to wait 15 min. just to get a water refill from our server who didn't check in once our whole meal & then took a day to get the bill to the table. I was also underwhelmed by the repeated, conversation-interrupting ask by the other staff, "Can I get that plate for you?" which actually meant "Why don't you keep handing me every plate?"even if it wasn't necessary/in our way, or, hey, my job. The food was ok with the exception of the salad, which was grossly overdressed, but on the balance it was a disappointing dining experience all around. read more

my wife and I eat there quite frequentl. we love the atmosphere and the service. The food there is and always is amazing and delicious. Growing up on my mom's Italian food she made I am critical of Italian restaurants sauce and their eggplant Parmesan as my mom made it so good. Pasquale's makes them both excellent. All the other entrees we have had have been outstanding too. read more

We love this restaurant. We ate here last night, the food was amazing, the service (Mindy) was spectacular, and the decorations fun.

My favorite restaurant. The food is great and the servers wonderful! The decor is retro and fun with Frank Sinatra and his boys playing in the background. My favorite dishes: Seafood Sicily, Eggplant Parm, Ceasar Salad with chunks of grated Parmesana, Wedge Salad, Beet Salad, Meat Balls Antipasti, Pros/Fig Brie Antipasti, Chopped Italian Salad. Great for lunch as well. Outdoor dining available, call for reservations. Located in the quaint historical downtown of Old Auburn with easy access to I80. read more

My partner and I come here for date night every so often. Cute spot in downtown Auburn especially if you want to dress up for a date night. We came around 445 a little bit after they opened, they kindly accommodated my request to change table and food is delicious! They charge extra for garlic bread we thought that was weird, other than that one of our favorite spots. read more

Well... hmm. This restaurant was recommended by our neighbor in Roseville. My wife and I have been looking for a good Italian place with outdoor seating, and this seemed like a promising option, even though it was a 30-minute drive. We enjoy taking chances, so we gave it a try. When we arrived, my wife needed to use the restroom, but the accessible stall had no toilet paper. We let the only staff member on duty know--she was managing the bar. Twenty minutes passed with no update, and when my wife checked again, the toilet paper had finally been restocked. A little communication would have gone a long way, and honestly, this first impression set the tone. We ordered our food, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. The pizza was undercooked on the bottom and only lukewarm. The spaghetti was cold. We told our server the spaghetti wasn't hot and the cheese wasn't melting. Her response? "Well, we always put the cheese on after the spaghetti is cooked." We explained that if the pasta were actually hot, the cheese would melt. She took it back, and when it returned, it was hot, and the cheese had finally melted. This should have been food quality one-on-one. When you're spending around $100 for lunch, you'd expect a certain level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we didn't experience that here. Despite all this, my wife is still interested in trying their calamari. (I know... I know... why?!) The outdoor seating was genuinely nice, and maybe our neighbors had a better server ( that gave a crap) or a better night in the kitchen. So, we may give it one more try. I will keep searching for a better place that will love to take our money, but in return, offer better food quality. We were there between 12:30 pm and 1 today. read more

Well, I would tell you that it was nice to see this restaurant open again the location downtown Auburn very nice. Walking into the restaurant very nicely done remodeled OK let's get to it. I brought my wife and two friends from out of town for lunch before they cut their plane back home unfortunately with one waitress at a lunch hour is difficult for the waitress and for guests. We waited quite a long time for service and once was service provided we waited another period of time. Let's say an hour not good. I ordered the Sicilian seafood plate. It was probably the most bland I've ever eaten and I've been to some real nice restaurants the simple things that we're not added fresh garlic, no garlic, fresh parsley no parsley at least a half a lemon squeezed no lemon, seafood and pasta crave those items. Unfortunately mine did not so I give it a zero my guest that was with me ordered the roast beef sandwich and it was huge. She said it was delicious so we'll look at the positive points, the cannoli dessert I had was excellent so when a new restaurant opens like this, they are having growing pains, which is understandable. They have a lot of pasta dishes if you're going to make those types of pasta dishes, make it for yourself test it and eat it see what it needs put some heart and soul into it and you will have a successful business. read more

Great ambiance, service and food. It's always enjoyable to come here, relax and enjoy great Italian food. Highly recommend

We used the restaurant's catering service, and it was absolutely A+. The food was ready right on time, and everything was perfectly provided. The salad dressings, croutons, cheeses, etc. were all provided in proper amounts, and when I said that there was more food than I expected, they gave me "to go" containers, which we used. I will definitely be using their catering service again. read more

We love their eggplant Parm and their pizzas. Of course, everything is delicious when it's done right, and they are consistent with doing it right. Their service is quick and efficient. We try to eat there a couple of times a year. Don't miss out...when you're in Auburn, it's a very good place to eat. read more

To say it was mediocre would be generous, the quality of the food was subpar. The antipasto salad was bad. Lasagna tasted like chef boyardee beefaroni. Save your money. read more

My sister and niece took me here for my bday dinner. It is soooo good and great manager and waitress. The place is adorable and they make their salad dressing in house which is a HUGE plus for me!! Their blue cheese is delicious!!! The ambience is romantic and it's good for any occasion. This was the second time I've been here and at that time I had lunch and their huge sandwiches were as great as their dinner! I WILL be back! read more

The four of us enjoyed a lovely meal for my wifes birthday Tuesday night. Made a reservation for 6pm & they we're almost a full house when we arrived. We had the following. Brushetta for an appetizer, Scallops over risotto, lobster ravioli, lasagne, seafood pasta. Ceasar salad add on. All the dishes were fresh & yummy. Brushetta was a bit overly crunchy, but nice mix of tomato, basalmic glaze and cheese. Scallops were on special & charred properly, risotto hot and rich. Lobster ravioli had a creamy tomato sauce, good, not my favorite. Meat lasagna may have had a mixture of beef/veal,rich and filling. Pasta with bay shrimp and an Alfredo sauce was surprisingly tasty. Basket of garlic bread to share. Daniel, our server was on top of his game and allowed to have time to eat/chat,but not neglected. We realized he was our server when the four of us dinned at The Tin Lantern in Meadow Vista a few months back. Beer & wine only . New York style cheese cake was enough for the 4 of us. read more

Really good food. They get busy but usually not too long of a wait so we sit at the bar and have an appetizer. Calamari is great and the pastas are some of the best I've had. Note I am not Italian but this place make me feel Italian ! read more

This is such a great restaurant! The food was amazing, classic down and dirty Italian. Really good wine and beer selection too. We went to Pasquale's for lunch. Pros: The food was delicious. We had the Italian sub sandwich and the lasagna. The server was fine. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Cons: The food is pretty expensive but you get big portions as in two meals from one dish. Our order took a while (the reason I'm only leaving 4 stars). I think this was likely the kitchen and not our server. Restaurant was not busy that day either. I would go back on a special occasion as it is pretty pricey. read more

Mushroom ravioli in marinara quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten. Staff is pleasant and move very quickly.

I like this Italian restaurant a lot. We got lucky to get our table at walk-in during dinner time. This place is popular and totally packed and I can understand why. Super excited to try on the three most popular dishes. The fried cheese ravioli, the egg parmigiana, and the lasagna are the must have! The dishes were served hot which made our dinner taste so much better. I can tell the chefs cook our meals with joy and love as every thing was delicious and tasty. The ambiance was amazing. The servers are nice, pretty and friendly. Our server was patience with our dinner choice. Everyone is smiling and happy to dine here. Lots of food on the plate. Plenty to share and to enjoy. The our door seatings are fun when it's warm and sunny. Ps: the complimentary garlic breads are delish. Highly recommended! Enjoy! read more

Wonderful all around. The service, atmosphere, food, and value were all great. Visited late afternoon Sunday the 15th and had our choice of outdoor tables. Ordered Caesar salad and Rigatoni Alfredo. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. We split, but portions were very generous. Couldn't decide on wine so were allowed some tastings and chose two Italian red varietals which were quite good. Saw a lot of tempting choices on the menu so will definitely be back soon. read more

Kind and friendly staff, delicious food (we had lasagna and an Italian sub) and key lime pie for dessert. I would definitely return. Note: This is an expensive restaurant. Two lunches w/ two desserts and just water for a beverage is $80+ (incl. tip). However, the portions are really large. read more

Good service and good food quality, but my wife's chicken parmigiana came to the table a bit cold, had to get reheated. I ordered the Limon Alfredo with scallops, I was charged $20 for the fettuccine and an extra $18 for a total of 3 scallops! I would expect more than 3 scallops on a $36 meal, just saying, I don't like paying $36 for my meal and going away hungry. Overall, our experience honestly earned just 3 stars. read more

Pasquale's did not disappoint! So good! First time here, we love Italian food! We travel quite often and at least once during our trips we choose Italian in the place we are visiting. I had the Mushroom Ravioli with Creamy Pesto sauce. Perfect. It was not acidic in any way. Perfect blend of pesto and cream (Alfredo) sauce. Raviolis were not mushy or too al denti, it was perfect. Mushrooms were fresh. I thought I'd have to bring some home but kept graze eating, even if I was full. My husband and daughter had the chicken parmigiana. He really enjoyed it also. Chicken was perfect, not dry. My son-in-law, who is Italian, really enjoyed his creamy pesto fettuccine with Italian sausages. My grandkids had a simple cheese pizza and they loved it. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for outdoor, and the weather was perfect. The kids were a little restless, and so it helped that we were outdoors. Kid friendly yet I can see the inside has areas where you can have a nice date. Very friendly staff as well. Service was great. read more

We ate on the outside patio following the Auburn "No Kings" rally and protest. Although the food was OK, the behavior of the management was atrocious and disgusting. Pro-Trump music was intentionally increased to a point that diners were unable to hear each other. Folks who had been to the rally were forced to hide their signs in the back of the restaurant. Apparently, the intolerant management has decided that this otherwise good Italian restaurant should become a pro-Trump, in-your-face establishment that caters only to those that have the same political sentiments. How disappointing and stupid from a business point-of-view! Spend your American money elsewhere. read more

We came in on Father's Day and though we were seated right away...we waited maybe 15 minutes and no one had come by to take our order. We had a baby with us who started to get fussy so we decided to get our food to go. We ordered and paid for a carbonara, full size garlic bread (6 pieces), Caesar salad with salmon (because they were out of chicken), and a large Caesar salad. The order came out quick. When we got home and opened our order...no salmon on the salad, barely any ham in the carbonara and 2 pieces of garlic bread. Our initial waitress did come around while we were waiting to apologize for the wait time which was thoughtful. However, the phone line was cut when I tried to call for a refund. I would've rather waited for the food if it meant an accurate order. Disappointed. Ambiance was nice. I liked the art and brick walls. read more

We found this gem by accident. A group of us were in Auburn for meetings and were looking for a place for dinner and Pasquale's popped up. Service and food was great. Guess where we'll be having dinner when we're back for meetings? read more

First time visit on a sunny Saturday around 11:00. Pros: - Service was good. Forgot her name, but she took care of some flat sodas and offered to make better the food issues (see below). I would say 4 stars for service. - Outdoor seating is pretty good, but some unavoidable street noise is present and the music should probably be more classic Italian instead of 70's mellow rock. Cons: - The food. Wife's antipasto salad was huge but mostly just lettuce, with hardly any meat or cheese or any of the "good stuff". Big let-down. My sausage sandwich was not good. It had very little flavor. The sausage, the sauce... just not good. I ate less than half. The server did remove it from the bill which was appreciated, and she offered a meatball sandwich to replace it, but I passed. So we both ended up leaving still hungry. Verdict: - Disappointed. More of a 2 star experience but the server lady was good so 3 stars. But we probably won't be back. read more

Ok, I was so excited after reading the reviews of this place and checking out their menu but my husband and I walked away going "meh.... Just not that good!" I will say the appetizers were good - bruschetta and caprese salad got us very excited for the entrees. Fresh, flavorful and delicious. The entrees were the most bland, mediocre nonsense I've ever had an Italian restaurant. The Chicken Parmesan tasted like a chicken strip fried in dirty oil covered in cheese. I got the pesto sauce on my noodles and honestly pesto is one of my favorite foods and I find it hard to mess up. It was SO bland! It needed that basil, lemon, pinenut flavor that just makes basil fabulous. My husband got their Halibut special which was also incredible bland and boring. The atmosphere would have been really sweet if it weren't for the large tv with a fake fire place. Screens make any restaurant WAY less cozy and quaint, in my opinion. I don't imagine us going back. read more

Went to dinner June 24 for spaghetti. We have been going to Pasquale's for many years at the new location and at the former one. A bit of a disappointment this time. The spaghetti and/or sauce was on the very cool side and the meat sauce had very little meat. Not the waitress;s fault at all. The kitchen was not paying attention. Nice place in old Auburn tiny neighborhood, difficult to park so you need to be patient. The decor is rustic and warm and rather pretty, there are some excellent Italian wine bottles in large format here and there giving the impression that someone here has some knowledge of famous producers ( Biondi Santi, Antinori, ...) The menu is exactly what you find in an Italian restaurant in the USA, no surprise. The room was full of guests, we seated at the bar, many potentiels guests keep arriving during the entire time we were there, giving a good impression on what quality we could expect. The owner was serving the tables very energicaly, and I noticed immediately the natural charisma and authority that emanated from her presence. She was very welcoming and so was the other staff member. I was surprised to see that only two persons were on staff for this very busy saturday lunch, so inevitably and unfortunately something did not go smoothly. The very good looking dishes accumulated on the distribution table and were not dispatched to the customers table, instead, the owner focused on welcoming more customers and the second staff member continued her very slow moving pace like if there were no urgency. We received our starter eventually, the calamari friti, and there were very good, the two sauces were very tasty and we could tell the deep frying oil was fresh and clean. We were not in a hurry so we did not mind that it took a while for our main dish, a pizza and the clam spaghetti to show up. However, as we were seated in front of the distribution table, we could witness that these dishes were delivered by the kitchen around 20 minutes before we received them. I refused to eat the pasta as they were totally cold and possibly unsafe at that point, the pizza was dead cold but we did not mind as much for that specific dish and by that time we were hungry. The pizza was delicious, the thin crust was crispy, more like a real Napoli pizza than the American version. Later when we finished the pizza arrived some garlic bread we did not touch as we were done. But everything I had plenty of time to see passing by looked really good. I am going to give it soon another try, perhaps it was just an unfortunate busy day with not enough staff... However, I reviewed here several comments that seems to indicate that this issue is recurrent...Laura, you have a great base here, a potential gem, now , with your long experience, you ought to reorganize the priorities: the food produced by the kitchen need to be immediately dispatched, for sanitary reason and of course reputation, I would be sad to see that an FDA inspection give you a negative note. The customers would promptly consume and leave, this making room for the next customers waiting in line. read more
