We ate on the outside patio following the Auburn "No Kings" rally and protest. Although the food was OK, the behavior of the management was atrocious and disgusting. Pro-Trump music was intentionally increased to a point that diners were unable to hear each other. Folks who had been to the rally were forced to hide their signs in the back of the restaurant. Apparently, the intolerant management has decided that this otherwise good Italian restaurant should become a pro-Trump, in-your-face establishment that caters only to those that have the same political sentiments. How disappointing and stupid from a business point-of-view! Spend your American money elsewhere. read more

The staff is consistently friendly and attentive the food is always full of flavor and beyond satisfying. The portions are large so save room for dessert! Their gelato and affogato are my favorite. I love everything about this family owned restaurant especially in nice weather on their lovely patio. read more

Meatballs are tasty - a bit dense but overall good! And pizza very tasty!! We will return!

My husband and I were finally able to stop in and try Pasquale's for an evening out. We shared some Crab Cakes as an appetizer. We got 5 tiny smashed balls a little bigger than a quarter. Definitely overcooked, despite that, the flavor was still OK. With each crab cake being smaller than a bite, it was over before it started. We shared a small antipasta salad, which my husband liked, I felt there was too much iceberg. We shared a Chicken Parmesan. My husband complained that he felt the chicken Parmesan was too salty. I think rather the chicken fillet was so very thin that the crust on the chicken overtook the flavor of the dish. The marinara sauce was good and had a nice flavor. The service and atmosphere were nice. There are only a few booths and they were all reserved. The drinks we ordered were very good and probably the highlight of the outing. I got the lavender lemon drop, and my husband ordered a Long Island iced tea. The glasses we appropriate in size and I could actually taste the lavender in my drink. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but will likely not do again. We spent $100 + $20 tip for an okay experience. read more

Pasquale's - Crab cakes - Wine Bars Near Me - Auburn, California

A spontaneous stop during a road trip led to this restaurant. We were hungry and in need of a break, this restaurant is close off the freeway and offers excellent choices for lunch. I had a caprese sandwich and my friend a spaghetti dish. Great wine choices available . Open for lunch and dinner Tues- Sun. Another of my worth stopping choices. read more

If you think Alfredo sauce should be rich, creamy, and packed with garlic parmesan flavor you will be dissapointed. If you think it should be thin and flavorless, you've found your place. An extra $2 to get this read more

We had been looking forward to an early lunch at this restaurant but were quickly disappointed. The service was good at first but quickly went downhill. Our server was neglectful, forgot to bring our bread, food was dried out as if being under a heat lamp for too long, salad was very average with just a few goodies on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce. We will not go back or recommend it to any of our friends. read more

The food is absolutely fantastic. Plus the service is top notch. My favorite Italian joint in the 916. Would recommend highly to all of you. Very comfortable setting indoors and outdoors. read more

Really like this one. Visited for lunch and sat outside. The service is very good here - our server kept our water and iced tea filled and checked on us without getting in the way. The salads were excellent, the minestrone delicious, the meatballs yummy and the pizza looked very good. I was too full to ask for a bite. We'll come back any time we're in the area. read more

I know this is an Auburn favorite, but I found the food to be very average. The portions are comically ginormous and the quality is lacking. It's comparable to Olive Garden, but I think I'd prefer to go to Olive Garden for the same quality of food at a better price point. That said, the staff is very nice and works quickly. The location is a prime spot in old town but be prepared to walk a bit because the parking lot is small. read more

Great food and amazing service. The staff was super friendly. The food was fresh and authentic so nice having them in a great location.

Surprisingly good. We arrived at 5:00 which timed perfectly given the crush that descended at 6. It's fork and spoon Italian food served hot, fresh and in generous portions. The antipasto salad overflowed the plate and was large enough for four. The eggplant lasagne was filling but light and flavorful. The spaghetti was Al dente with a piquant meat sauce and a solitary meatball. All good. The room gets noisy but that's part of the charm -- lots of people enjoying great food accompanied by clinking glasses, genial conversation and light laughter. read more

A divine diverse menu with all yummy foods. Service was excellent as our wait staff was excellent!! We sat outside on a warm Saturday evening the ambience was most enjoyable. I had lobster ravioli and was very impressed by the innards. My hubby had lasagna and he loved his entree. Our guests had eggplant dish and a summer pasta dish. They ate every bite!!!! Our appetizers were superb. Our desserts were delicious. I had caramel gelato with choco bites. OMG!!! Better than the gelato I used to have in NYC!! Cheesecake huge and yummy another desert was vanilla ice cream with espresso over it and chocolate cake superb! Not one complaint by us four. Go to this wonderful restaurant!! A great nite of delicious Italian dishes! read more

Ok food, but very overrated. Just mediocre. I used the restroom and there was a pair of bloody underwear on the floor. I mentioned it to an employee and it didn't get picked up for over 30 minutes. I would have done it myself if I'd had gloves. read more

Food was great! We ordered the bruschetta and calamari for appetizers. The bruschetta was crispy and refreshing. I went on to have the rigatoni prosciutto pasta and it was delicious. I got surprised by my friend with a delivery of food from this place and it was really good, I can't wait to see the restaurant in person

TLDR: Long wait, good service, decent food. 3 stars overall. Hoping to finally find "that one great Italian restaurant" in my area, we called before leaving our home to drive to Pasquale's. We were told that they had a 30-ish minute wait at that time and that a table might be available when we arrived. I wasn't necessarily expecting this time to be the case, but we made the 30 min drive to Pasquale's and hoped for the best. When we arrived, we were told that there'd be a 20 min wait for a table for two. That was okay with us. They took my wife's cell number and we were told they'd text us when our table was ready. While we waited, we browsed a shop close by for about 15 mins. We walked back to Pasquale's to wait for a text. Waited another 15 mins then checked to see how much longer it would be. They estimated another 5 mins, as they said they were just about to clear a table. It's been quite a while since I've spent so much time writing about a wait for a table...so, to make a long story short, 55 mins after we first arrived, our table was ready and we were seated. Come on guys! Moral of the story? For us, maybe order from the bar next time. For Pasquale's? Get better at estimating wait times and/other managing expectations. Moving on... Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a half-carafe of Sangiovese, which was quite nice. My wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana and I had the lasagne. Both dishes were flavorful and seasoned well. Our antipasto salad was very good. Some of the better Italian food I've had in the area (between Roseville and Auburn). But honestly, I'm still looking for a great Italian restaurant in our area. We completed our meal with a couple affogatos. Overall - 2,66 stars - rounded up to 3 stars. Service - 4 stars Food - 3.5 stars Ambiance - 3.5 stars - well decorated. Subtract - 1 star for mismanagement of wait time expectations. Quoted 20 min wait. Actual wait was 55 mins. Would we go back? Yeah? Probably so if we're in the area. The food was good. Service was quite good. The wait time estimates sucked. read more

I was so excited to find that Pasquale's was coming back to town. At least some of the original. We celebrated birthdays and holidays there for years and was sad when they closed. We have been to the new one here twice now and will not be going back. My go to was simple Fettuccine Alfredo pasta. Simple as all can be. The first time it separated in my bowl leaving a gunky oil mess. Figured they had a bad night. Expensive but we tried it gain a year later. It was awful. My pasta was laying in a bowl of separated cheese and butter. Not the creamy sauce I remember and the kind I make at home. The prices are high and a entree does not even include and little salad. The wait staff was great but myself and my family were very disappointed in our meals. We wont be coming back this time. For 160 bucks for 4 plus the tip I could make a killer Italian dinner at home. We tried... read more

First and last time there. Food is below mediocre, our server was nice but so scattered her skills just aren't there. Busboy too full of himself and pulling plates while we're trying to box up leftovers for kids. Worst service ever. Just not their thing. read more

An old favorite from years ago. Ambiance is beautiful, outside dining available, very comfortable. Service is outstanding! Very attentive and personal. This is a perfect restaurant! From start to finish it's all comfortable. My preference for seating is definitely a booth so I request that with my reservation. We have enjoyed dining here several times so I try to select different items from the menu with each visit. I would always choose their lasagna but this time I ordered Chicken Parmesan and it was exceptional being tender and breaded perfectly. Their caesar salad is outstanding too. Don't miss it!! Bret ordered Seafood Sicily and had four prawns and three scallops. He liked it but was enjoying my chicken parm more!! Ha. The garlic bread is always done perfectly. One piece would have been enough but I love to dip in that rich fettuccine sauce. We always have Conundrum, a red blend, that is part of the Caymus family. We enjoyed it do much that we started buying it at Bevmo. It definitely adds to the meal, being full bodied and smooth. Gina H was an absolutely perfect server. Ask for her!!! Enjoy Harriet D read more

We had a reservation for our Saturday night dinner. This restaurant is actually the 3rd iteration of Pasquales. It began in Auburn as a Take & Bake, then morphed into a full-scale restaurant on Hwy 49 (briefly moved to downtown Auburn) and finally to its present location in Historic Auburn. Pasquales was very good in its previous incarnations but tonight we enjoyed one of the best dining experiences anywhere. We were greeted and seated right away and served a basket of classic garlic bread . This was "old school" garlic bread! Hard to find anymore and I'm not sure why. Our waitress, Gina, treated us like we were her only tables. Amazing since the place was packed with locals, skiers, families and anniversary celebrants. I had the Rigatoni with Proscuitto and a Caesar salad. 10 out of 10! My companion enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan and a Wedge salad. 10 out of 10. The homemade Cannolis sealed the deal! Gina's service, along with her helpers was 11 out of 10. We love Italian food. I was born and raised in San Francisco, a place with world-class Italian restaurants. I have also been to Italy. Pasquales is as good as any of them. The prices are very fair and you get a lot of food. Our take-homes could qualify as original servings. read more

First time there. Sat outside after checking in. Woman came out cleaned the door windows. Never came back out. Went in to ask for water she comes out with attitude, gives us menus but doesn't ask if we'd like something to drink, after we've been sitting there for awhile. She was annoyed we went in. Window cleaning over customers ... hmmmm??? Looked menu over didn't feel it and left to a place where our presence mattered with good service:( read more

I've been here a couple times before but last night Pasquale's leveled WAY UP on my local favorites list. From start to finish, everything was absolutely EXCELLENT. We started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer which are light and delicious (not burnt or greasy like I've seen at many other places). I took a chance on the Cioppino, which I rarely do because NOBODY makes it like my Dad did. I was beyond impressed, it was incredible! Everything in it is cooked perfectly, just the right hint of heat, a generous portion of mussels and clams and scallops. We also tried the Marsano pasta and I'll probably be getting that next time. The servers are all very nice and make you feel at home. I cannot say enough about this place, put it at the top of your list for your next date night and prepare for a memorable experience! read more

I really don't understand the negative reviews, especially about the cost and things like no fresh cracked pepper, Parmesan, and clams. Have you all been to a restaurant lately? Everything has gone up in price and how do you expect a restaurant in Auburn to have fresh clams anyway? We tried Pasquale's in Auburn recently because of our fond memories of the original we used to frequent in Carmichael when we were teenagers/young adults. It did not disappoint! The gnocchi was excellent and the Alfredo sauce was spot on. The garlic bread was perfect and the service on a busy Saturday night was great. We loved the restaurant and will definitely be back! read more

We have been to a couple Italian restaurants in the past few days and I'm sorry to say this fell way below the others, starting with service, as my brother said she was very nice looking some definite eye candy, but not very attentive! Bread came out ltr, no grounded cheese for any dish, and water refills was pretty slow, and didn't even get the how was your dish! With that being said, we had the chipino over linguine noodles, in the details of the dish it said there was salmon! Well I couldn't find any and I tried, but they did put 5 shrimp in the dish and the scallops were really good. The sauce was average, but we compare this dish to Vito's in Turlock, and definitely missed the mark! My wife had the bruschetta white sauce pasta, and it was creamy and very rich tasting, she liked it but didn't rave about it. My sister in law, had the sausage and pasta dish, she thought it was a red sausage dish, but it came out in a white sauce, my brother wanted to send it back because this wasn't what she ordered but she said leave it she will be fine with it. She ate half of her dish and gave up. Overall the dinner cost 42$ a plate with the tip, which into standards I guess isn't that much! Although we went to Siena two days ago and it was only 25$ a plate... with a tip and the food and service was definitely better. So in a nutshell would we return... probably not! read more

Just left Pasquale's without ordering. We're locals and have come here multiple times and enjoyed eating there. Today was not the case. We were blatantly ignored by multiple servers while groups of customers who arrived after us were brought water, ordered drinks, and even got to order food. We did not get so much as an acknowledgment of our presence from a waiter. If anything, they avoided eye contact as they passed. Barring misunderstanding, we won't be back again. read more
