Mama Mia, it's amazing! As someone who's part Italian and quite picky about Italian food establishments, I often wonder if they truly serve authentic Italian cuisine or just American-Italian dishes. Well, thanks to my cousins from Rocklin who introduced me to this charming Italian restaurant nestled in the hills of Auburn, I can confidently say: thank you, and well done! From the moment we walked into this family-run establishment, we were greeted by friendly servers and a wonderful ambiance. The inviting atmosphere made it feel like we had temporarily escaped the greater Placer area to an authentic Italian bungalow, perhaps in a quaint Italian neighborhood. The delightful aromas and the selection of Italian wines set the stage for a wonderful evening filled with delicious food and laughter. Everyone around us appeared to be enjoying their meals! We were quickly seated, and our server, Gina, did an excellent job explaining the specials and suggesting wine pairings. I opted for the spaghetti with meat sauce, which was fantastic, and their salads are superb, drizzled with an Italian dressing that only Mama could make. I tried this spot around lunch time. Service was great. Hostess was kind and quick to sit us down. Our waitress was kind and helpful. 1. Pastrami sandwich 10/10 Fully loaded bread was fantastic and the meat was delicious. 2. Spaghetti with meat sauce and a green salad 8/10 More sauce than noodles but the flavor was good. The pros: The staff is really nice and its a cozy atmosphere. Chicken fettucini was the best dish of our table. It was really good with large pieces of chicken and lots of sauce. The cons: We ordered 2 cocktails, and 1 came out but after some time passed and we asked where the other one was we were told it would be a minute because they had no bartender on duty yet. Okay... The steak was underwhelming, but the fries were good. Then onto dessert... we ordered the caramel cheesecake to share and it was decent. Kinda rich. Between the two of us, we didn't even finish it. The bruschetta was also just okay. Its texture is like a crouton. I prefer it on a toasted bread. Friends told me they have good pizza. Maybe I'd try that instead next time, if I returned. read more

The star of this place is that penne alfredo with sausage and OMG the garlic bread is drenched in a pool of butter ( and i mean that in the best way possible ). Not where you should come if you're on a diet . This place was very solid and deserving of 5 stars. The food was yummy, hot and flavorful. Service was fantastic and our server was so knowledgeable, friendly and charismatic. We celebrated a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the space! My only comment on the food would be on the lasagna - i would've liked a bit more tomato in the sausage. Great option in Auburn!! The staff is friendly and attentive--they make you feel right at home. I've been here both as a table of four and with a group of 10, and both times were fantastic experiences with great service. I was determined to try something new on my last visit. So many tempting options like the pesto gnocchi, lasagna, and mushroom ravioli, but I couldn't resist the lemon risotto with scallops. It was incredible--the scallops literally melt in your mouth, the risotto is perfectly creamy and tender, and the asparagus is cooked just right. Perfection! For dessert, the crème brûlée was outstanding--I loved how the caramelized sugar top was thick rather than delicate. That extra crunch was so satisfying--yum! On a previous visit, I tried the pumpkin crème brûlée, which was also delicious. And oh, the garlic bread--it's a solid 10/10! If there's any left over, an air fryer at home becomes your best friend for reheating. Starters are a must too! The Burrata Salad is creamy and fresh, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts are addictive (perfectly caramelized), and the bruschetta is a great lighter option if you're not super hungry--all so good! One note: They only have a wine and beer license, but they have a great selection of wines. We were looking for a restaurant in Auburn that neither my in-laws nor my wife and I had been to. A quick Yelp search and we were headed to Pasquale's. It was Mother's Day at 5:30 and we had no reservation. We were told it would be about 15 minutes. 10 minutes later and we were seated in a completely full restaurant. My wife, my father-in-law and I all ordered fettuccine Alfredo. My mother-in-law ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Each meal came with 2 slices of garlic French bread. My mother-in-law (who can be a picky eater) took a couple small bites of her Chicken Parmesan and then she really went after it. To say that she loved it would be an understatement. Our fettuccine Alfredo was also very delicious! Jason, our waiter, was very attentive and very speedy. I love the vibe inside the restaurant; lots of black and white photos on the brick walls and beautiful, traditional decor. Really enjoyed our visit here we sat at the bar with a super fun bartender she was a long time employee with a few regulars hanging out having dinner and they were just as much fun. The pac man arcade game was free!! I hadn't played pac man in decades and I had a blast! Turned out it was happy hour while we were there so we pretty much ordered everything on the HH menu. I've had my nose I mean eye on this place for a while and figured for my birthday I would give them a shot. I called ahead earlier in the week and a made a reservation for a party of 9. (gratuity included) they did inform us that they had no problem taking our party but made us aware of their closing time which we truly appreciate. We had one server who absolutely killed it! After checking the reviews for this place on Yelp, my boss and I decided to have a late lunch here. It was on our way home from truckee to the Bay Area. We walked in, were told to sit anywhere we would like, we found a cute table. We review the menu quickly since we had already gone over it on our drive. We waited about 15 minutes to just have someone over to ask what we wanted to drink, I asked for water with lemon and my boss asked for iced tea, we asked if we could order since we were ready. The food took forever to come, I got Caesar salad with chicken, it didn't say chicken was cold. I personally hate cold chicken, well I had a couple bites of my salad and the dressing was too salty. My boss had cheese raviolis with meat sauce, she said they were good but a little cold. After the food came no one came back to check on us, I need more water and she needed more iced tea. She actually go up went to the bar area to find someone to bring us more drinks and to get us to go boxes. The lady at the counter doing nothing instead of getting us drinks went and found our waitress to do so, another ten minutes go by and we get what we asked for, at that point we just gave her a credit card and asked for her to take care of our bill since we were ready to leave. She didn't even asked why my salad was not even touched. This place was slow at the time we went, I feel they had more employees than actually tables with people. So the visit to try out this restaurant had highs and lows. On the highs side, the garlic bread was great, the salmon caesar was tasty and with a very large portion, and the linguine white clam dish was a hit. On the lows side, the lobster ravioli comes with two sauce choices, creamy sherry tomato sauce or the creamy wine and dill sauce (per the menu a Pasquale's original fave). I LOVE dill but the level of extreme dill in this sauce made the dish uneatable. Service was okay, not great but she was friendly and was trying - just mixed up drink orders and a delay in coming to the table to take our dinner order. Wonderful all around. The service, atmosphere, food, and value were all great. Visited late afternoon Sunday the 15th and had our choice of outdoor tables. Ordered Caesar salad and Rigatoni Alfredo. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. We split, but portions were very generous. Couldn't decide on wine so were allowed some tastings and chose two Italian red varietals which were quite good. What a treat it is having Pasquale's Ristorante here in town. There are so many nostalgic dishes from the original Pasquale T's. The talented owner, Laura, has added her own delicious culinary additions to make this restaurant truly special. Her choice of location and the indoor/outdoor feel she's created is inviting, even with the hustle and bustle expected when visiting a favored community destination. Each time we've had a meal, our service has been outstanding. The servers are efficient, full of personality and make their guest feel welcomed. Additionally, the kitchen is being run by a truly talented young man. We stumbled across this place looking for another place. I think it's relatively new. The decor inside was super cute. We had amazing service and the appetizer we got was, oh my gosh! So delicious. It was a very unique dish that I want to drive all the way back up to get again. And again. It had cheese, beets, and blackberries. I don't recall the name, but I guess the chef created it. It is on the suite side, so if you don't like super sweet, it may not be your thing. But I could eat this all day long! Since I can't have gluten, I got a dish with gluten-free pasta. The waitress recommended, this chicken broth with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. It was kind of bland. But the fact that I could safely eat at an Italian place, was great! I think I would just try something different next time. My boyfriend got the seafood pasta, but only with prawns in it. He liked his quite a bit. Nope. We had dinner at Pasquale's tonight &, unless you're into slow, inattentive service, I wouldn't recommend. We had to wait 15 min. just to get a water refill from our server who didn't check in once our whole meal & then took a day to get the bill to the table. I was also underwhelmed by the repeated, conversation-interrupting ask by the other staff, "Can I get that plate for you?" which actually meant "Why don't you keep handing me every plate?"even if it wasn't necessary/in our way, or, hey, my job. Well, I would tell you that it was nice to see this restaurant open again the location downtown Auburn very nice. Walking into the restaurant very nicely done remodeled OK let's get to it. I brought my wife and two friends from out of town for lunch before they cut their plane back home unfortunately with one waitress at a lunch hour is difficult for the waitress and for guests. We waited quite a long time for service and once was service provided we waited another period of time. Let's say an hour not good. I ordered the Sicilian seafood plate. It was probably the most bland I've ever eaten and I've been to some real nice restaurants the simple things that we're not added fresh garlic, no garlic, fresh parsley no parsley at least a half a lemon squeezed no lemon, seafood and pasta crave those items. Unfortunately mine did not so I give it a zero my guest that was with me ordered the roast beef sandwich and it was huge. She said it was delicious so we'll look at the positive points, the cannoli dessert I had was excellent so when a new restaurant opens like this, they are having growing pains, which is understandable. They have a lot of pasta dishes if you're going to make those types of pasta dishes, make it for yourself test it and eat it see what it needs put some heart and soul into it and you will have a successful business. read more

Well... hmm. This restaurant was recommended by our neighbor in Roseville. My wife and I have been looking for a good Italian place with outdoor seating, and this seemed like a promising option, even though it was a 30-minute drive. We enjoy taking chances, so we gave it a try. When we arrived, my wife needed to use the restroom, but the accessible stall had no toilet paper. We let the only staff member on duty know--she was managing the bar. Twenty minutes passed with no update, and when my wife checked again, the toilet paper had finally been restocked. A little communication would have gone a long way, and honestly, this first impression set the tone. We ordered our food, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. The pizza was undercooked on the bottom and only lukewarm. The spaghetti was cold. We told our server the spaghetti wasn't hot and the cheese wasn't melting. Her response? "Well, we always put the cheese on after the spaghetti is cooked." We explained that if the pasta were actually hot, the cheese would melt. She took it back, and when it returned, it was hot, and the cheese had finally melted. This should have been food quality one-on-one. When you're spending around $100 for lunch, you'd expect a certain level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we didn't experience that here. Despite all this, my wife is still interested in trying their calamari. (I know... I know... why?!) The outdoor seating was genuinely nice, and maybe our neighbors had a better server ( that gave a crap) or a better night in the kitchen. So, we may give it one more try. We came around 445 a little bit after they opened, they kindly accommodated my request to change table and food is delicious!
