Service was awesome as always. Went in at a busy time and had plenty of time to enjoy a drink and enjoy an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. Only disappointment there was the ranch and marinara sauce I ordered were only 1/3 of the ramekin full, so we had to be conservative with the sauce. The sauce boss didn't like that. Next was dinner. I got chicken parm with fettuccine Alfredo. There was plenty of Alfredo sauce. Being it's authentic, it's very rich and delicious. (A Little goes a long way.) However, on the chicken parm there was the equivalent of one and a half cherry tomatoes, beautifully seasoned with basil, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion, then crushed on top. Again, sauce boss didn't like that. To fix this, I asked for 2 extra sides of marinara in hopes to use them to give my chicken parm a respectable amount of sauce and possibly use any extra to make a little pink sauce with the Alfredo. Alas, yet again, 2, 1/3-filled ramekins. The sauce boss hated this. "Who rations tomatoes???" I said!!! The total tomato sauce that ended up coming to our table was the amount I'd expect if I said light sauce. Nicely. Long story short, I got some extra sauce to go because it's so yummy. Food review: 5/5 Nothing comes out extremely quick unless you go before a dinner rush. It's a nice place and deserves patience. Staff was wonderful. It was more of a lasagna soup. The lasagna needs something to make it interesting, otherwise it's no better than frozen premade lasagna from the grocery store. The service was excellent though! Mmm... pasta heaven... After a fun day with my neighbor, we decided we wanted to get something good to eat... and when we are together, we like to go all out. Pasquale's has been at the top of my list for a long time. It's located in downtown Auburn surrounded by other good places to eat and shop. The parking lot is tiny, but there is plenty of street parking available. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. When we walked in (close to 3), we were in awe of how beautiful it is in here. It was not busy, and we weren't at helped away, but that's ok because we were able to admire how gorgeous it was all around us. You can't help but notice the big cheese wheel in their display case. When I think of my favorite kind of pasta, it involves a cheese wheel... There is a bar top with high top chairs just waiting for you. They offer draft beers, wine and a full bar... but we decided we wanted a booth today. Inside Pasquale's is a brick wall interior with wooden flooring, where booths and tables are set up. It was cozy and very inviting. We barely glanced at the menu and knew right away what we were going to order. Now, I normally do not order anything with alfredo from anywhere... but something told me not to pass it up this time. I ordered the Salmon Fettuccine Alfredo, and Mary ordered the Lobster Ravioli. We also wanted a couple of Expresso Martinis to start. I think we were both starving, so we also ordered garlic bread to come out first. First, the Expresso Martini's arrived. They were in in a stemless martini glasses. They feature the same iconic, V-shaped as traditional martini glasses. I loved the way they were garnished with 3 coffee beans on top. The taste was rich with bold flavors that had a crisp kick of vodka. If I ever have an Expresso Martini from anywhere else, it'll forever be compared to this one. 5/5 Our garlic bread arrived shortly after we started sipping on our Martinis. They had the perfect crunch. The warm butter builds up with every bite to let you know it's there. Not overwhelming, or dripping, but it was just right. The contrast between the tender, buttery salmon and the hearty ribbons of pasta creates a spectacular mouthfeel... and the rich, buttery flavor of the fish went perfectly with noodles! Together, it was like the grand finale of a fireworks show on crack in my mouth. 555/5 Mary and I exchanged bites of our dishes. The Lobster Ravioli she ordered was delicious.. also garnished with a lemon slice. It was exactly how I felt like Lobster Ravioli should taste. This was a perfectly balanced dish as well, because it can be so easy to want to pack on the lobster to make a good dish, but then that's how you lose the rest of the flavor of the alfredo sauce and the tender taste of the pasta... but Pasquale's nailed that perfect flavor with the perfect amount of ingredients, getting us to crave the next bite. 555/5 After reading up on the history of Pasquale's, I found out it is owned and operated by Laura McGuire along with her daughter, Sophia. Laura was a former employee at the original Pasquale T's, which was a beloved Auburn staple in the 1980s and 90s. She brought the restaurant back to life in 2023, keeping it a true family-run establishment. Well, thanks to my cousins from Rocklin who introduced me to this charming Italian restaurant nestled in the hills of Auburn, I can confidently say: thank you, and well done! From the moment we walked into this family-run establishment, we were greeted by friendly servers and a wonderful ambiance. The inviting atmosphere made it feel like we had temporarily escaped the greater Placer area to an authentic Italian bungalow, perhaps in a quaint Italian neighborhood. Again, all of it was 5 out of 5, every dish was just like it was in Italy... found out afterwards the recipes were home recipes they brought from Italy. No wonder it was so good. Not where you should come if you're on a diet . This place was very solid and deserving of 5 stars. The food was yummy, hot and flavorful. My only comment on the food would be on the lasagna - i would've liked a bit more tomato in the sausage. I've been here both as a table of four and with a group of 10, and both times were fantastic experiences with great service. I was determined to try something new on my last visit. So many tempting options like the pesto gnocchi, lasagna, and mushroom ravioli, but I couldn't resist the lemon risotto with scallops. It was incredible--the scallops literally melt in your mouth, the risotto is perfectly creamy and tender, and the asparagus is cooked just right. Perfection! For dessert, the crème brûlée was outstanding--I loved how the caramelized sugar top was thick rather than delicate. That extra crunch was so satisfying--yum! On a previous visit, I tried the pumpkin crème brûlée, which was also delicious. And oh, the garlic bread--it's a solid 10/10! If there's any left over, an air fryer at home becomes your best friend for reheating. Starters are a must too! The Burrata Salad is creamy and fresh, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts are addictive (perfectly caramelized), and the bruschetta is a great lighter option if you're not super hungry--all so good! One note: They only have a wine and beer license, but they have a great selection of wines. It was Mother's Day at 5:30 and we had no reservation. We were told it would be about 15 minutes. 10 minutes later and we were seated in a completely full restaurant. My wife, my father-in-law and I all ordered fettuccine Alfredo. My mother-in-law ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Each meal came with 2 slices of garlic French bread. My mother-in-law (who can be a picky eater) took a couple small bites of her Chicken Parmesan and then she really went after it. To say that she loved it would be an understatement. Our fettuccine Alfredo was also very delicious! Jason, our waiter, was very attentive and very speedy. I love the vibe inside the restaurant; lots of black and white photos on the brick walls and beautiful, traditional decor. After checking the reviews for this place on Yelp, my boss and I decided to have a late lunch here. It was on our way home from truckee to the Bay Area. We walked in, were told to sit anywhere we would like, we found a cute table. We review the menu quickly since we had already gone over it on our drive. We waited about 15 minutes to just have someone over to ask what we wanted to drink, I asked for water with lemon and my boss asked for iced tea, we asked if we could order since we were ready. The food took forever to come, I got Caesar salad with chicken, it didn't say chicken was cold. I personally hate cold chicken, well I had a couple bites of my salad and the dressing was too salty. My boss had cheese raviolis with meat sauce, she said they were good but a little cold. After the food came no one came back to check on us, I need more water and she needed more iced tea. She actually go up went to the bar area to find someone to bring us more drinks and to get us to go boxes. The lady at the counter doing nothing instead of getting us drinks went and found our waitress to do so, another ten minutes go by and we get what we asked for, at that point we just gave her a credit card and asked for her to take care of our bill since we were ready to leave. She didn't even asked why my salad was not even touched. This place was slow at the time we went, I feel they had more employees than actually tables with people. Just finished dinner at Pasquale T's in Auburn, on June 4 2024. The service was great but the food was a disappointment. I ordered the Salmon Lemon' for my entree. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, but only came with one half slice of lemon and non added to the fish. The disappointment was the fettuccini pasta that was severely over cooked and had an abundance of Alfredo sauce poured over it. I did not taste and lemon in the sauce. The pasta was a gooey mess. I think that if you are an Italian restaurant the pasta should be easy to prepare. I was a frequent visitor of the old Pasquale's on highway 49 for years.
