Incredible ham and cheese sandwich! My husband and I were craving a quick bite before a late night concert, and a sandwich sounded good. Considering there were several shows in the area, the restaurant was busy, but we scored a seat at the counter. I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich, my husband ordered the Famous Caribbean Roast sandwich. They elevate a ham and cheese sandwich with banana peppers, sautéed onions, and a yummy sauce that melts in with the cheese. Thick slices of ham, too. I couldn't believe how delicious it was with such a simple name! My husband said the roast was so tender and juicy. The sandwiches are delicious, but messy. Grab extra napkins and take advantage of the weather napkins they have.

Paseo has a huge reputation in Seattle for their roast pork sandwiches, so I was pretty hyped to finally try their sandwich. It was a rainy Saturday around 12:30 PM and there were only a few other tables inside. Parking is a little confusing as the lot is mostly paid spaces, with only 4-5 spots dedicated to Paseo. Not sure what you're supposed to do if it gets a bit busier. Caribbean Roast (2.75/5): Unfortunately, I thought the pork was quite overcooked. It wasn't unbearably dry, but it was very chewy. That combined with the chewy bread makes for a bit of a jaw work out. Tostones (3/5): Could be crispier, but had a good amount of salt. I wish I enjoyed their sauce a little more (needed to be just amped up on all fronts a bit more), but it's not bad.

Always a must stop when we're in town! Here for the Caribbean Roast!!! But everything here is great! Flavors are bold, sandwiches are juicy & drinks are ice cold! Yuca fries for the win! Until we see you again!!!!

I haven't had Paseos in a long time, so I decided to give it another try(perhaps location matters) .The sandwich itself wasn't as good as I remembered--felt like it was missing a bit of the flavor I used to love and a bit dry. We also got the mango habanero wings, which were spicy but still a little lacking in flavor. As for parking, it's very limited. There are only about five spots since a parking company owns most of the lot, so I'd recommend not parking there unless you plan to pay. There's a fair amount of seating if you're dining inside, which is nice.

The food here is SO GOOD. The sandwiches are amazing. I brought my parents who were visiting from out of town and after my dad tried his sandwich he ordered another one so he could eat it the next day. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in Seattle.

Yuca fries- so pillowy soft and crispy all together, perfection.

During my first visit to Paseo, I indulged in their sweet chili prawn skewers, Caribbean roast sliders, and their famous roasted street corn--and everything was absolutely delicious. The Caribbean roast featured their signature slow-roasted pork, paired with fresh cilantro, tangy pickled jalapeños, caramelized onions, and crisp romaine. The pork was incredibly moist and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. The roasted street corn was a standout, generously coated in a luscious garlic aioli, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, fresh cilantro, and a mix of spices. The blend of sweet and savory, paired with the bold garlic undertones, made it an unforgettable treat. The prawn skewers were perfectly cooked, glazed in a flavorful chili sauce that added just the right amount of heat and sweetness. For parking, the restaurant lot is paid, but there are free street parking options nearby if you're willing to search a bit.

#1 over rice instead of bread and tostones

Pretty sure there's half a pound of pork sitting in my belly still....ordered the number best seller and it was crammed full of meat, more meat than anything else. This sandwich is a mess, it's hefty and definitely worth the money. The real star of the show is the tostones, always get tostones, crispy, dense, salty, hot...dipped in aioli is perfection. Interior is clean, food comes out quick, service is prompt.

I love this place. I keep forgetting there's a location in sodo. So much closer than driving anywhere else. Last time I was here there was HH and service was great. I ordered a roasted corn and Alaskan cod sandy combo. I've never had the Alaskan cod before and it was soo good. A bit messy but I enjoyed it. If we didn't make HH I would have ordered the scallop because that's my favorite one. I had a good time here and the margarita I ordered was so good. Will be back preferably when there isn't a mariners game ending haha.

Paseo Jambalaya - do not get this. It was not good and was spicy enough to cause terrible heartburn/gastritis
Dan H.

Caribbean roast and fries taste the same here as the other locations so can't complain about that. Service was quick. Restaurant has lots of seating in contrast to some of the other un bien and paseos locations I've been to but it's pretty bare bones, def nothing fancy inside. Great location within walkable proximity from T mobile stadium. Parking lot is an added plus! Do NOT get the jambalaya. It was not good and spice level 3/5 nearly blew my head off. And this is coming from someone who likes spicy food. Even if you do manage to eat it, I don't recommend it for the sake of your stomach.

Came for the amazing sandwiches, stayed for the BEST strawberry marg of my life!!! Love their happy hour menu. Will be back!

Caribbean Roast Nachos & Sandwich

One of my favorite places for food in Seattle now! Their Caribbean roast sandwich is to die for. The meat is tender and bursting with flavor. I also tried their nachos which come with a great portion of their delicious pork, pineapple, caramelized onions, cheese, and great quality tortilla chips. One thing to note is this seems to be more of a pick-up focused restaurant so there's not much seating inside.

Soooooo Goooood. Late Bday lunch with my daughters. I've walked past this place for years going to games but thanks to a Yelp event I tried it & now it's a cant miss place. Very casual, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, a Tiki Bar & Fridays are $5 margaritas & they're no joke. The staff are always so friendly fast. Now that Pecos Pit is closed, this is THE SPOT for me hands down.

Smokin (Chicken) thighs sandwich. I already dug into the roasted corn, it looked so good. And was!

This is THE spot to come before Mariners games or nearby concerts and nobody can convince me otherwise. I've tried them several times in the past and now have my dad hooked as well. Their signature Caribbean Roast sandwich is absolutely phenomenal and I have the hardest time ordering anything else when I'm here. I have tried the nachos version of it before as well, and that's equally delicious. The key is definitely that succulent roasted pork. I will say that the sandwich version is MESSY so don't wear white, and also just be mindful if you have plans after. This year, my dad decided to order a pre-seasoned and smoked turkey from Paseo and my GODDD it was good! We made a gravy from the drippings as well which turned out so good too. We also get their street corn that was said to serve 4-6 but it was generous and we had leftovers. Absolutely a MUST try, 10/10 no notes. There's a reason they have received so much love over the years - no questions, no notes, JUST GO TRY THEM PLEASE.

The indoor space is really cute, but I was confused as to why everything was blocked off and restricted to takeout only. I ordered the famous Caribbean Roast sandwich and a side of rice and beans, which came to a little less than $30. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, but between the stomach issues and the char, I'm not sure I'd go back.

this sandwich was highly impressive as the main part of the…read moresandwich, it was pretty necessary that the pork be cooked to near-perfection, and i have to say it was here it gave off a deep, brown-ish color, which showed the extent of it's cooking and marination. It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

The pricing is pretty good for rice bowls (probably an underrated order, though slightly smaller portions to the sandwich). I got the seafood in red sauce and got the scallops, which was priced at $10.75 for a satisfying meal - not too big but not too small. Hard to find seafood dishes at this price point so I appreciate it being fairly accessible in price. The red sauce is like a Cajun like sauce but not spicy - it is very flavorful. The pickled cabbage adds a bit of tang to the dish to accentuate the flavors of the other ingredients. I tried a bite of my friend's fish of the day (Mahi mahi) sandwich which has similar fixings to the Caribbean pork sandwich - always love their garlic aioli and caramelized onions. As typical, their sandwiches are very juicy so definitely get your hands messy or try your best eating it with utensils. As someone that enjoys to not get my hands dirty, I'd still recommend using your hands to savor all the flavors evenly in the sandwich! For first timers I'd recommend the #1 but you can't go wrong with other options for sure!

I'll start with the beef, as it was the primary component of the dish. Despite it being flank steak, it was clearly simmered for a long time - and displayed none of the traditionally chewy or dry properties associated with the tougher cut. The sauce also helped - it was very well spiced, and had a slight tomato-like flavor. Mixing this with the yellow rice yielded something that was really satisfying to eat. The combination of sauce, beef, and rice was quite enjoyable, even with mixing the vegetables in for some extra crunch. The portion size of beef was crazy. When combined with the rice, the total amount of food here was solidly enough for two full meals. It is around 20 dollars for the dish, but I would classify that as a good value when you consider how much food you get. On the opposite side, I swapped the maduros out for fries. These...were not good. The fries tasted stale, hard, and not appealing at all. While the portion size was high, the appeal was not. The sauce that came with these was interesting at least. Overall, I think this is a very strong core dish at an impressive portion. Would recommend sticking with the plantains as a side though. 8.5/10
