First, I was told to change into robe and lay on what looked like a bed attached to a hair wash bowl. The comfort level was surreal (cloud 9 worthy). All of the organic products used at the salon are made by him so the one they used on my had a calming tea tree scent that brought out the natural sheen to my hair. Then, I was walked to a haircut chair where I enjoyed two cups of espresso (with my usual 10 packs of sugar) while the master taught me about hair. We took a picture after the wash of my hair (as displayed below) of my pre cut hair. He showed me how my hair was not flattering to my shape. Then he started the magic! After ten minutes of precisely pulling each section of hair and snipping off each strand with deep concentration, I was left with hair that fell into perfect place. The movement and natural volume that he created caught me off guard that this is really MY hair!? His team took over drying and beach curl styling my hair using the Salono hair dryer. Knowing how my hair is, I was worried that the style wouldn't hold over the weekend so I asked them if any products are going to be used. They reassured me, between the shampoo/conditioner and hair dryer will lock in the moisture and NOT using a heat protectant will help from not burning my hair. Wish I would have read these Yelp reviews in full before I got my hair done here. I could sense the inauthenticity of the salon owner halfway through my cut and color. Drama for sure and yes, like another review mentioned, I can also attest that Bensimon did speak poorly of his employee to me. He later apologized. I wanted to go from blonde to brunette but was told I needed toner first and that I would need multiple appointments to get back to my original color. So you mean $500 x 4 appointments. Do the math. You're not fooling me bro. I've been blonde and box died my hair to become a brunette in one sitting. For $10. In 10 minutes. And it worked. I spent 6 hours there because they had to tone my hair twice. I kid you not, it looked about 1 shade darker than when I left. They did NOT use any actual color. What. the. heck. I cried. Yeah, I may look all sweet and innocent but I am a Leo and when I am unhappy I will speak up. You have to sign a voucher stating that Pascal will touch you to determine the cut and style. I found myself in my sports bra with the robe down past my shoulders as he trimmed my hair. An excuse to get touchy feely? I think so. How is this in the St. Regis? Pascal is truly amazing. I live in LA, so I normally get my hair cut there, however, since I was home for the holidays, my mom insisted that I see Pascal. The entire experience was great. This was the best haircut I've had in over 20 years, and the color is perfect. I have wavy hair that most stylists can't quite handle, resulting in a lot of frizzy and awkward hair days in between salon visits. 2 weeks after my cut with Pascal, during the most humid time of the year in Atlanta and with my own very limited hair styling skillset, this cut still looks fantastic. Anyone battling wavy frizzy hair knows how miraculous this is. He worked with my hair instead of against it. I feel like I found the holy grail of salons. I've received compliments every day since leaving Pascal's salon. The man is a genius. I haven't been this happy with my hair in decades. I also tried to lighten my hair this past year at other salons. Gray was beginning to appear and clashing with my previously brown/black hair. I never thought it would be so difficult to get light brown hair, but I've had everything from Holly Hobbie orange to yellow blond from the other salons, all hideous. Pascal did not just correct the color, he perfected it. It has the perfect touch of honey, looks completely natural, blends with my roots, and looks both refined and spectacular, if I do say so myself. This man is the penultimate professional, as were his staff in every aspect of the visit, from shampooing to assisting him with the color. They are worth every penny. And if I'd gone to him in the first place, I wouldn't have wasted so much money and time in multiple attempts to correct the work of the previous subpar coloring jobs. I am very picky about my hair. Very. I have been to most of the major salons in Atlanta, and some I liked better than others. But I LOVE Pascal Bensimon. Pascal is located in the heart of Buckhead, on Shadowlawn, near the new Trader Joe's. The salon itself is a renovated cottage, with a welcoming, cheerful vibe. The staff offers you refreshments du jour (coffee, chocolates, tea, croissants, perhaps even wine if you time it right ;) It's a nice touch. Pascal and his staff are simply w o n d e r f u l! When I go there, I feel like I am spending an afternoon with friends, not on display in an uptight fancy salon (as some other places sometimes make you feel). Even the customers are great, and the atmosphere encourages everyone in the salon to chat and have a great time while Pascal works his magic. And it is truly magic. I don't understand how they do it, but no matter how you look or feel going in there, you will look and feel like a million bucks when you leave. It is a wonderful thing! I have had cut & color done there, and have been very pleased with both. Pascal has his own unique bayalage technique for highlights that produces incredibly natural results, and I've found I can go much longer between highlights than when I've had foils. Plus, there is no sitting under the dryer! Woohoo! Yuri and Regina are also fabulous, you just cannot go wrong here. Gals, you will look amazing. I have had fine , thin hair my entire life and always get nervous when I get hair cut and colored because most generally they don't know how to treat this fine hair . Pascal cut my hair in the 90's and I was amazed at his technique. I was also a hair model for his cutting classes and realize that a spectacular hair cut goes above and beyond what most "beauty schools" teach. That's why hair dressers were taking his classes. Had an extremely frustrating experience here. Arrived early, but they started me quite late. Told them when I needed to be out of there and they got me out 35 minutes later despite having plenty of time for a blow dry (one hour). Staff was nice but expressed no sense of urgency even after explaining multiple times I was running late. The fact that the blowdry was 75 with no discount offered was the icing on the cake. Absolutely horrendous. My friend went and raved about how great he was. Her pics she sent me looked fabulous so I thought I would give him a try... I wanted 2 inches off my hair and 2 inches turned to 6. I wanted to keep my hair dark and what he calls balayage was basically tiny highlights. I have dark brown hair so the blonde Balayage highlights looked horrible in my hair... But was worse was that I left the salon with one side of my hair 1 inch longer than the other. I went to my salon and they said "what did he do to you?!" And I am still asking myself the same thing.. So they had to cut a little more of my hair to fix the cut he gave me. He told me that this would be the best cut and color of my life and it turned out to be the worst. And what was the price? Grand total of $432... I think that's overpriced for any hair services but it was especially overpriced for the terrible service and outcome I received. I am SO happy that I at least received a refund but don't go. Save yourself the trouble and money because I left the salon crying... Now to wait another year for my hair to grow back to the way it was. Avoid at all costs possible. read more

Pascal cut so much "body" into my hair and I was able to work with it myself afterward.
