I loved One stylist, but not the person she worked under. I liked another stylist, but she doesn't own rollers...Here's my story...
I initially booked an appointment with goodness knows who, speicifically requesting a stylist who specialized in black hair, and who was able to provide a roller set. In route to my appointment, I am phoned and asked to come in earlier than the scheduled time. I comply, and end up waiting 20 minutes over the scheduled time, in addition to the 15 minutes I arrived early only to find that the stylist that was booked for me "didn't even own rollers!" So I call, and ask to have a manager contact me because as I am checking out, the guy who is rather flamboyant, sighs as though I'm taking to long as I requested a $25.00 tip amount, reminding me that I was not to request cash for personal reasons, but for tips only-I didn't need a reminder on this. Anyway, that was insulting as my stylist received the entire $25.00 in all 5's. Nevertheless, I spoke with a Heidi who offered to take 20% off my next visit. Next visit, Heidi actually booked on my behalf, and supposedly with a person who was able to roller set. Well, my schedule was pressed, so I asked to just air dry, and whilst there, the person with whom I was booked this time was really nice. However, a deep red-headed older lady kept standing over me, and instructing My stylist as she did my hair. This was devastatingly irritating! Also it was something that I did not appreciate because this was supposed to be my time with this really nice stylist. Well, it wasn't, and this lady was on her way to Home Depot after interrupting my conversation without an excuse me, at least 6 more times as she asked about locations and blocking air vents. Well, this was a turn off, as the employee clearly saw that I was a client, and that I deserved my time to get to know my new stylist. The last part that was so insulting was checkout when a Asian/Black younger girl yells out, "Why are you supposed to have a discount? Who told you that? I don't see anything about you having discount! What is it for?!" To make matters worse Maria, a supposed manager talks over me and asks the same questions, out loud and says she has to call to verify that what I'm saying is true. More embarassing? Heidi was no where to be found. Luckily, I documented my conversation with Heidi. What's even wilder, I didn't request a discount, it was offered by disappearing Heidi.
I was so incredibly insulted that I even though I really like the stylist I saw, I'm reluctant to return to this salon because of the insulting way in which I have been treated. I mean really, you go and pay top dollar for services, wouldn't you think that you would be treated very well? In this case no, and even the guy who checks you out, eyes you from the bottom up to see what you look like from head to toe before even taking your money.
Gladly, I am worth a lot more than this salon treats me like especially since I'd requested that one of the three owners contact me, and they sent Heidi who did not return my call, to venture out and perhaps make the same mistake a third time? I just don't have the time to figure this place out.
