My hair color was a train wreck, and I really wanted to go out for my birthday that night feeling confident with a new, bold look. I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. If you need a hair miracle or a color correction like I did, I HIGHLY recommend Vivian and her team at Salon Arcaro without any hesitation. She KNOWS her trade, and she's TRULY a Master of hair ‼

I called and spoke with someone on the phone. 3. She called me back later and told me to text her my name and hair. 4. Went to the salon and the person who was doing my hair told me it's just a blow out. I showed the post to her that this is not what's posted. 5. The owner came over with an attitude telling me what the FREE service was and that, "Sorry if you misunderstood that". This prompted me to show the post to her. She said someone should have talked to me, I told her no one talked to me. 6. Owner told me that I can't be picky about FREE services and that I misunderstood. Since I don't look happy, she doesn't want me there. 7. I told her I'm not happy because she's making me sound like I misunderstood the message post. She was not apologetic and asked me to show her the text, I did. She still didn't apologize except kept repeating, "There was no communication". 8. She turned to another mother and daughter who were there. Asked them if they think they were here for something else other than a blow dry. They respond no. The owner literally wants to be right so badly that she got another family answering, and turned back to me like, "See?" I was looking for a new salon for my family actually. So glad I got this experience. If an owner behaves this way now, would I even want to have anything to do with this salon? If they mess up your hair or if you don't like how something was done, will they say sorry, it's your fault or misunderstanding? No, thank you!

I've had a couple issues here with stylists being rude or not friendly. Last time I went to this salon, the person who cut my hair was super kind, but we did a balayage on my curly hair, and unfortunately, it created severe damage and my hair start to fall out. It damaged all of my hair so much that I've never been able to get it back to normal. I recently went to a different salon to get my haircut and we ended up chopping off about 6 inches of my hair because it was not fixable. I don't think I would recommend this salon unfortunately because of that and because my prior experiences were not so great with the general vibe.

Worth the 4-Hour Drive!…read more I recently found myself unable to visit my usual stylist in NJ, so I decided to make a 4-hour drive to see DiDi after being impressed by her educational social media posts. From the moment I arrived, DiDi addressed all my concerns with exceptional knowledge and kindness, much like my trusted stylist back home. I absolutely LOVE my new cut and styling! DiDi's expertise truly shines, and I wouldn't hesitate to book another appointment whenever I'm in the ATL area. The salon itself is immaculate, and it's evident that the team works harmoniously. Every client was greeted warmly, which, in my opinion, is a hallmark of excellent service. The music added a pleasant ambiance without being overpowering. I'm sharing this gem with fellow curly and coily-haired individuals, but secretly hoping I can still snag an appointment once everyone discovers how fantastic this place is!

I've gone there for 5+ years and never a bad experience. I'm not sure why I didn't write a rave review for Salon de la Vie before but I know why I am now. Another client told me about an outrageous customer who insulted the staff with totally disrespectful language in front of other customers then posted to Yelp. Hair can be emotional but so is making your livelihood by building an amazing business through positive word of mouth. This one 2nd hand review speaks to service that is the opposite of all that I have seen from Angie or the team. IF Angie were ever slightly rude, it must have taken a ton of abuse to provoke it. I'm not sure why someone would go somewhere they thought was overpriced to get a haircut they did not like 3x, before losing one's cool on the fourth. To be fair, I made a mistake and thought my appointment was at 9:30 when it was actually at 9:00. When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.
