The woman assisting me (sorry I forgot her name) was amazing! She was extremely helpful and brought out various types of tap shoes for me to try. I told her I was a little nervous trying to learn to tap dance at my age. She was extremely encouraging and even recommended some dance schools. I left there really happy with my new tap shoes and feeling pretty confident that I am not too old to learn. Customer service there was phenomenal! Definitely recommend to anyone interested in any kind of dance. They have all kinds of dance shoes as well as as dance wear. As well as an extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff!

But as of a few months ago I guess it was waiting for someone to occupy and that's where Halloween City comes in to play. I believe the Halloween City has been here and opened for at least 2 maybe 3 weeks now. And I must say I do believe this is a first for Portsmouth, VA. It seemed like before, Halloween City locations were set up in every city in Hampton Roads except Portsmouth. But no need to fret any longer Halloween City is here and they're fully stocked. Well it looked like they were to me. The workers were standing by to offer any assistance. And the manager or owner of the store was jovial from the moment I walked in until the time I left. And he promised me a coupon when I return next time! Now I must say, it was maybe 2 handfuls of guests shopping last night so crowd control was superb for the workers. I can only imagine as the holiday nears it's going to be craaazy getting into there. And parking is decent right now. But as volume increases not sure how the parking will hold up... It'll be interesting to see. Nevertheless, go shop now while most sizes are still available and parking isn't an issue. They're offering 20% off of a single item (coupon needed). Costumes for everyone are here. Masks! Tats! Decor! Just go see. The spacing of the aisles are ok. Some areas are tight in maneuvering, but it's not a huge deal. It's Halloween it's all fun anyway. They repaired my Dyson vacuum that had been broken for a few years at a fair price. The customer service was top notch too! They work on almost any type of machine. Unsure about new sales as I was not in the shop long. It very hard to find these type of places, support them as they are a local business. My Dyson is now up and running and I plan on using them again soon on another vacuum that needs a tune up.
