This target is alright! Nothing special inside, but I've always been really impressed with their pickup order employees that work for the drive up. They really are on it, and I've never had an issue in all my years and many drive up orders I've placed. Inside, selection is as good as any target, it's clean, but it can be a bit disorganized at times. Overall it's a great location, made even better by their drive up order staff! read more

Stopped by Target for a few food items. When i got there it was an hour before closing so they were stocking shelves. The Valentine's section was wiped out!! The cat food section was bare. Like whats Mr Biggalsworth gonna eat now? Lol. I do like that they have a good selection of coffee and teas. There weren't many people in there so i was in and out. My complaint is self checkout sucks... If you have a few things its fine, but i sincerely don't like ringing up alot of things because the bagging area is small. But I'm over it. 6/6/21: Seems like some remodeling is going on looking at the outside. The staff was kind of friendly. The store was mostly organized and tidy. I made a return & there was only 1 cashier that night, so that took some time. On top of me having to wait, she was trying to get online orders out to waiting customers. She skipped me a few times and I was there first, so that was annoying. By the time she got to me, she got some attitude. They need to be more organized at the returns desk. That's for sure. Sadly not so great. I've only come here a couple of times since moving here a few months ago. Each time the employees have not been helpful. Tonight an employee accidentally ran into my cart while hastily putting things back. I needed help in shoes (where we were) but he left as quickly as he came. It seems the employees do their best to avoid customers and not ask if you need anything. I was there at the end of the night so that might be why. Hopefully a day trip will give you a better experience. My trip would have been much faster if someone could have helped me. The closing announcements were some of the most curt I've ever heard. They have holiday hours posted but they were so small I could barely read them. I'm used to larger signs with bolder print. read more

It's kinda frustrating going to Target grabbing some Starbucks and then getting a shopping cart that has no drink holder. Anyway, it's a pretty decent Target. I can usually find most things I need here but I LOATHE self check out or having to wait for the one cashier lane that is open. This Target is a big Target but this Target is also a big let down . Always seems like they are in the middle of stocking shelves. The biggest let down is the area that is usually as soon as you walk in and it is $5 and below priced. Half the shelves are empty. Again other Targets have all of their stuff stocked and out and it is sad that they are now performing up to standards. This was just the biggest let down that I drove all the way out to this store just to do seasonal shopping and they hardly had anything out. My group of shoppers have been here lots over the years and they say the same thing. They need to take lessons from the Hilltop Target. I can go on and on but you get the idea if you shopped at the other Targets and then shopped at this one. It is not good when you walk out of a Target and don't buy anything and that is exactly what my group of shoppers did. No letters needed! Just the Target sign was glowing outside for me to visit like the Batman signal calling Batman. This Target is a little hidden but a good place to visit because it's never too busy for me. The entrance is actually pretty wide and I see they are upgrading the entire place. The customer service area is tucked away and even has little snacks like as if it was a gas station register. Also, the beauty section was amazing. Loving the open concept idea to include less shelfing and brighter lights. Can't wait to see the outcome once the entire store is completed. read more

As a store, it's fine. Until you want to check out. Typically understaffed for cashiers causing long checkout lines. I won't shop there after 4pm due to this. I just tried going in at 10:30am. One cashier, self checkout closed. Long lines of people waiting. I turned around and left. I would be in line longer than what it takes me to shop. read more

This is not a go to Target due to the difficulty of accessing the lot which I think is a royal pain. The location on Princess Anne and Independence. The store is tucked back and has only one entrance off Independence. It seems like cars dart everywhere entering/exiting and I just don't like it. The lot had been plowed and I saw no debris on the ground, or on walk up. However, what I did see was a trash container over flowing. My most recent visit was a quick one and self checkout to boot with no issues. In the late Fall I purchased a bicycle for my daughter which provided more insight into the stores customer service model. My review is based more on that Fall experience. This Target offers a snack bar with a lot of seating. My Town Center store has a Starbucks and a small snack bar which seems to be the floor plan they are now building. Customer service is up front as the usual. No photo department that I could see. My experience with purchasing a bicycle was good, nothing crazy awesome, but good. My daughter had her eye on a particular Schwinn cruiser. Our Towncenter store was sold out which brought us here. We went to the bicycle department and confirmed they had the bicycle. It was on a high rack and we needed assistance getting it down. We alerted a staff person who called someone to come help. After around 10 minutes we were assisted by a young male. My daughter looked it over and after a few questions she was ready to roll it out. Checkout was smooth at the register. I would return and recommend them, but my hang up is access. A couple of around average visits. 3.5, rounding down. read more

Quaint neighborhood Target. Ideally my go to Target as they are only hit hard on the weekend. During the no toilet paper and hand sanitizer days this Target kept a dry erase board at the entrance with essential products, amount per person and availability daily. This limited the amount of people shopping and wandering around the store. Social distancing markets throughout the store and masked employees made Covid shopping easier. Thank you to the Target Staff for keeping the shelves stocked and the lines moving. read more

It's a Target and if you've been to one TarZHAY then you've been to nearly all of them. This store is not a SuperTarget, so they have some groceries and a bit of fresh produce but it's not a full grocery store. Still, you can do quite well here if you're doing a food shop. Some stores have a Starbucks. This isn't one of them. They do have the Target cafe with popcorn and hot dogs and such. It's a decent place to sit while your wife shops for clothes. :-) As for the rest of the store, electronics, clothing, housewares, greeting cards, personal care, yep, they have all of that good stuff. The store is well lit, the associates are wearing their khakis and red shirts and that's really it. It's a good shopping experience. read more

I can't really get enough of target no matter how hard I try. Great pieces/deals. Clean and organized. Each store's layout is different and since I only come here every once in a blue moon it takes me a while to get a good flow. They usually have several cashiers at the registers which is good. Let me tell you what I just discovered about this location that has got me excited! They have tons of natural hair products! I mean oodles! One full aisle of products for natural ethnic hair, plus a section on the other side and a full end-cap. This totals to almost 2 aisles. This specific location is the place for me. I do recall that back when Iman products were at Target, this is the one I had to come to for a good color selection. This location has a cafe which could be great for you and your family; I don't think I've taken advantage of it in the past 5 years though. read more

One (very) small silver lining to this COVID-19 pandemic is that I am spending less money on what would've been my once a week Target roaming sessions. Nowadays, like many others, I am opting to only go out for essentials and unfortunately, Target clothes/shoes/random beauty items are not my essentials right now :( I've been utilizing their drive through pick up service and have been pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy it is. You use the app to create your shopping cart and can apply any Cartwheel (target's in house savings program) to any applicable items. Lately they say that the orders may take around 4 hours, but mine are usually done within 2 or less. The app tells you where exactly to park and the employees come out quickly with your items. It could not be any easier! One downside is that grocery items and some of the quick to sell items (paper towels, TP, etc) these days are not always available. I highly await the days when I can peruse the aisles of Target looking for random clearance items or a new pair of earrings. But until then, drive through pick up service it is! read more

I love this target! It seems they revamped their image to be more modern with wood paneling behind their clean signage. Even the target sign has become more simplistic and clean. I enjoy going to this store to see what the latest inventory is. Typically, once it's gone, you're out of luck. But the beauty of target is that they are constantly bringing in new items for home, every day fashion and seasons. This location is always busy and often time you have to navigate the masses. Customer service can be hit or miss but let's face it, you didn't come in here to be waited on, did you? No- you come here to spend $150 more than what you intended to spend!! Don't shop here unless you expect to have to dodge other customers because the store is a wreck with the endcaps being extended out into the aisles with pallets filled with crap. Also don't shop here unless you have an hour to stand in line because the single cashier that the store has on registers wants to read the back of every box as she scans them. I walked in with my four month old and two year old and there was a basket on the bottom of my cart from the parking lot that I asked a young lady to move for me and she acted like it was asking her to jump on 1 foot in spin around. I love Target, but definitely not this location. This is a delayed review from my visit to the store on the morning of 5/23/19. To date I have not stepped back in the store due to a complete lack of customer service. I have shopped in this store once or twice a week for over 20 years. From now on if I need something from Target, I will go out of my way to visit the store located in Red Mill instead. That store is much better! Over the years, I have watched the Target at the corner of Buckner and S. Independence Blvd go downhill. Sure, they renovated the store. It looks nice, but is not very functional and they should have given the employee attitudes an overhaul while they were at it. They seriously need some retraining. Several times throughout the store I encountered racks and carts of merchandise blocking aisles making it difficult for me to shop. At least twice, there were employees stocking and they didn't even bother to acknowledge me let alone move so it would be possible for me to get through. Some aisles I just skipped altogether due to this. Once at the checkout with a very full cart, I noticed there were multiple employees, but only one cashier open. I had too much in my cart to go to self check so I was forced to wait. Two other employees were standing around talking to a third employee that seemed to be on a break. They ignored the line, and instead rang up the employee that appeared to be on break. While they were busy talking and ringing up the employee, the only register open had a long line and at least 2 of those people standing in line had a walking disability. Terrible customer service. The employees here really do need some serious retraining. Not one employee greeted me or asked if I needed help while shopping on 5/23. Instead it appears that they actually went out of their way to avoid their customers and any eye contact. It wouldn't hurt them to actually do their job and maybe put on a smile while doing it. After all, if it wasn't for the customers, they wouldn't have a job. I do not recommend this location at all. So far, my favorite seems to be the location at Red Mill. read more

I don't come to this Target often but I'm always impressed when I do. They revamped this one with a more modern look outside the store. They also redid the entrance with the Starbucks. They seemed to have a better selection than the one in Chesapeake as far as the boys clothing and boots. I was able to stock up on winter clothes and shoes for my little one. They also have a great selection of home goods and kitchenware. I love this Target. read more

Well I do love target but this target seems to never have anything in stock grocery wise at least. Also target pick ups take absolutely forever. One time I was sitting waiting for my pick up order for 45 minutes it was absolutely ridiculous . The average time it takes me to get my drive up order here is about 15-20 minutes versus my other local target which is about 2-3 minutes. It's my one stop favorite shop, literally. Not only do they have it all, but they have it all in the best forms and brands ever. My personal favorite section is the Dollar Spot- they have totally stepped their game up in the "good/pretty paper and stationery" selection, for the perfect price! Few things make me happier than paper goods! My mom LOVES Target for their freshly popped popcorn, and I don't blame her. It's delicious, especially when freshly popped! What's crazy to me is that meme "I avoid Walmart by going to target" or something like that. The funny part is I find myself feeling that way and out of all the Target's I've been to. This one feels like home. My favorite thing is to come to a Walmart after a workout or when I need to get something on the way home, I like coming in here around 9pm to walk around (maybe get my fitbit steps in..don't judge me :) That way, the parking lot is not ridiculously crazy and I don't have to fight through crowds of people to pick up some oranges. Last night, I stopped in to get one thing, and came out with $60 worth of groceries. Target always has unique brands that are of pretty good policy. Ok...I don't know what is going on at this Target location. (I can only speak for this one since it is the one I frequently go to) This past Saturday-10/15 at approx. 3pm my boyfriend and I were going to pick up a couple things and when I walked in...there was ONE register open and about 25 people waiting for self checkout (the self checkout cart people had carts filled to the brim). We obviously left. If Target does not have the staff to properly assist the weekend traffic...they should close and lock the doors and have a sheet plastered on the door stating-Closed Due to Staffing Issues. There weee no managers helping, no one calling for backup...and this store has really gone down...I have been there as soon as the store has opened and clothes are all over the place, the makeup/self care section always looks like a bomb hit it...and Starbucks cups all over the place...sitting on shelves, etc. it's obvious some shoppers are lazy but seeing the same areas with the same coffee cups is just plain disgusting. This Target is beginning to have a Walmart feel about it and for now I will just visit the pharmacy. read more

Let me just say, everyone we encountered at this location seemed to absolutely hate their job. They acted annoyed, irritated, and as if they didn't see you. Our first encounter was with the Starbucks server who behaved as if he couldn't speak. We ordered our drinks with absolutely no feedback or questions from him as to size or if we wanted milk/cream. My 19 year old daughter even said, "someone sure doesn't like his job". He never asked if I wanted my receipt and walked off while my card still in my hand un-swiped. It was the first coffee I've ever had from Starbucks that was almost undrinkable. I had to ask for milk since it was served black. (The coffee station had no milk available.) When I made my request he dumped a half cup of cream into my venti coffee turning it totally white. I could tell he was pissed but how do you think I felt drinking a cup of half n half with a shot of coffee!? When another crew member finally arrived, her attitude was no better. She began cleaning the area which included slamming high chairs into the wall and chairs into the tables. Then she hollered at a seated customer to get her "pink drink". We finished our coffee and went to do our shopping. We were in the store for over an hour and not one single employee smiled, asked if we needed help, or even acknowledged we were there. Instead they stopped short in front of us and shouted for another employee to come assist then. Does anyone here like their job? The cashier greeted us but not in a friendly way and there was no conversation throughout the transaction. I'd also like to add, the store was not at all busy during the time we were there. I won't ever go back to this location of Target or Starbucks again. There are other locations that have an A+ rating, in my opinion. I love Target because it's so cute. I usually go here by myself after working out or with my best friend when we want to catch up. The thing I love about Target is their dollar section at the front. I never need anything from there, but being the shopper that I am I like to look and take a peak at items. I've gotten to do lists with magnets on the back for my fridge and little holders for my home and even cute little gifts for friends for the holidays and special occasions. I used Target last year for our Wedding Registry and the staff at this Target and the one in Town Center Virginia Beach were so friendly and helpful. They gave us a thank you package for using Target that included 5 thank you cards, free buy one get Starbucks beverage, and coupons for wedding essentials. For my Bridal Shower my mother and MOH/best friend found really cute teal, Tiffany's Blue, and pink, and grey colored themed decorations for the party. My mom also bight colored plates to use at the party and placemats and kept all of it to serve guests and out of town relatives when they came to visit and open gifts after our wedding. I also like Target's return policy. When you need to return something and don't have your receipt they can look it up with your credit card and try their best to help you. Target always has good deals and nice quality of items. I started using the Cartwheel application to find extra bargains as well. Who doesn't love Target! read more

I visited the store around 9PM on a Monday evening. First I browsed in the women's clothing section, per usual. I see a few new items (2 jackets and sweatpants). I pick up the sweatpants and match it to one of the jackets I saw but I decide not to get neither, so I put them back. Meanwhile while as I browsed around debating on the purchase I notice an employee come to the section near me. However I think nothing of it, I walk to get the items I initially came for and when I got to self check out I realized I forgot something so I told the employee one sec and rushed to get what I needed. I get back in line and check out but for some reason as I'm leaving, the alarm goes off for detergent pods and pads so I look back at the employee that was in self checkout and he's looking at me. I walk back to show him my receipt and the first thing he says before he even checks my receipt is "did you not scan any clothes or for get to scan something". Browsing in the women's section for no longer than 5 minutes in target made me feel like a TARGET tonight and I usually enjoy my target runs. I shop at target A LOT but that experience just weirded me out and I will not visit the princess anne location in va beach anymore... Of course the alarm didn't go off again as I walked out which makes me think they can control when that alarm goes off! read more

This Target is centrally located and shares a parking lot with Farm Fresh, Ruby Tuesday, KFC, Party City, DMV, (tons of other stuff). It's really close to my house so I'm over here a lot spending all kinds of money on things I didn't initially come inside for. The store is always clean and well-stocked. They now have groceries and since they are so close to Farm Fresh their grocery prices are pretty good because they are trying to compete. Actually I found many items in there last night that were A LOT cheaper than Farm Fresh so I might go to get my hummus and some other key items here. If you are remotely familiar with the layout of Target then you'll know they always have a huge holiday section in the back corner of the store so I love to browse the wares back there when it's Halloween, summer, Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc. Tons of fun. read more

It's the standard Target. It's bright, vast, and full of temptation. The popcorn aroma makes my heart skip a beat, but I tell myself "don't do it." Prices are decent, but it seems like the clearance end caps are usually barren. If there are items on the clearance, it's not much of a big discount. I've had a bad experience with the bathrooms in the past, so I avoid using the restrooms if I can help it. I haven't been there recently because I'm still traumatized. Overall, parking can be a pain because it's located right next to a grocery store. But the upside is if Target doesn't have a grocery item you can literally go next door to Farm Fresh. They carry stuff that drugstores and other stores usually have mixed in with a bit more nicer brands that only target carries. Oh how I love target let me count the ways lol no but I like this location they just remodeled the front of store and it looks really great. During the remodel I came here a couple of times. And like target does by sticking to their bourgeois ways they had offered "luxury" port-a-potty's. Still an outhouse but with a lil flare lol anywho target is a great place that offers reasonably priced items for gifts and party planning. I shop at target for everything : clothes , food, toiletries etc. they do a great job at being a one stop shop. If you visit here a lot I would suggest their cartwheel app. It will show you what items are in stock and also offers coupons. I recently came here to pick up a secret Santa gift and was able to find everything I needed without any hassle. Accessories. I must comment on targets accessories and purse section. They have some very cute options for a great price. Earrings, sunglasses, purses, wallets all very cute and fun options to try out. So yes woot woot for target lol read more
