Today was my first time visiting a At Home store. I was impressed with the wide selection & really appreciated that they have large & tall products! I often feel that decor store carry small items but I was glad to see the size of some of their products. I'm definitely looking forward to shopping here more & buying some large items! I love to browse this store. The employees are available throughout the store. A good thing too, because this place is loaded. Think of a Hobby Lobby without the DIY or framing depts. Anything you can imagine in a home store is stocked. Prices are low to lowest and the quality is medium-high. read more

I was on the mission to find throw blankets, so what better place to find them at than At Home store. Its a place to find all kinds of fun things for your home. Each aisle has alot to look at. My fav is the candles and air freshener aisle. If you look through you'll find clearance items all over the store!! Oh how clearance items make me smile. Anyways i had to make a game plan because i could seriously blow my budget and 2 other people's budgets if you let me!! Lol. There were so many wonderful colors and really nice things in there. I always love at home. But this one is falling I feel. The parking lot is gross. Trash absolutely everywhere. We are always so impressed with the holidays section! They had lots of Halloween ready and even starting on Christmas! I feel like that is where all the attention goes though. Because the rest of the store wasn't that great. It was a mess the aisles were messy with stuff all over the place. Nothing seemed organized. With a little more care I feel like this store would look and feel better. read more

I cannot wait to go back this place made my apartment start to feel like home. Similar to home goods just bigger. I feel like home goods may possibly have better sales on smaller stuff (dinner sets, decor, etc.) they do not have the size factor At home possesses to have bar stools, giant rugs, giant house plants, tables, infinity amount of pillows.... the list goes on. I also love the shopping center it is in with a Walmart right next door you can hit two birds with one stone and get groceries as well. Staff who work there are super nice & there was only one person in line before ms in the check out. Needless to say I spent a lot more money than planned but it is all high quality and well worth it. This is the kind of store I like, love and dislike all in one. LIKE: Location. it's conveniently located right off the North Battlefield main drag; it's the place to be for business traffic. LOVE: Selection. It's called "At Home" for a reason. Lots of interesting things that change based on the season--it's like a Super Walmart for just home stuff. Items you didn't know you'd ever like, much less purchase, are here. DISLIKE: Quality. The overwhelming source country for these items is China. I know, no surprise, but the quality of many of these items is substandard. Looks nice, but longevity is questionable. For example, several of the wicker storage chests with padded tops were frayed and in disrepair; a random sample of chairs wobble when placed on the ground and sat upon, etc. When aggregated together, At Home is an average 3-star experience. The "Like" and "Love," however, override the Dislike and will keep me coming back if nothing more than to look around at their incredible selection. read more

The store is nice in that it has plenty of options for any possible choice in decor you could want. The staff doesn't seem to care about customer service. They do not pay attention to detail even when you make requests or point things out. My husband and I specifically asked for the military discount and after a $250 transaction, forgot to give it to us. All they could offer was a gift card in return. If it weren't for their unenthusiastic employees, I would probably be here a lot more. read more

Loved this place! I've heard they have tons of holiday decor and other things from some co-workers but since I live in Virginia Beach I don't often end up in Chesapeake. Since I was already there to go look at furniture I figured this was the time. It's not easy to find - being that it is near the Walmart circle and on the outside it said "My Place" or something.... I didn't see anything that said Garden Ridge but when I called their number from the internet that is the name they used to answer. So we drove past it about 2-3 times before we finally pulled in. That was somewhat irritating - not going to lie. On my first visit I saw a ton of Halloween decorations and some newly placed Christmas stuff. I could spend some money on decor in there for sure. They had a bunch of other stuff, some chairs and furniture, a bunch of things for the kitchen (cooking, storage, cleaning, organization), some party plates and decor, fake plants, bathroom storage and decor, wall art, lamps, etc. etc. You could find some real goodies in here and I wish I had known and come there when I first moved to the beach and had to buy everything... Haven't been in here since it was garden ridge and it hasnt changed since This place has everything you could possibly want for your home and then some and if you're looking to decorate for the holidays this is the place for you. There were chairs for your home, rugs, outdoor furniture, kitchen essentials galore. I really had to stop myself from buying something, just to buy it. Gt2est place to decorate a first apartment, dorm room or home. I did think some of the items were a little overpriced for what the items were but it made up for it in other things i saw. I love this store. They have everything you can imagine to decorate your home. Their prices are decent. You have to watch out for what your intending to purchase, as some of the items they have here are NOT of quality. Some of their bookcases, drawers, and shelves are uneven, scratched, and dented. Now even though I love this store, I hate it's location. I wish they would just close this one down and open up at another location. The parking lot is always dirty. Worst place to shop. I bought 2 rugs. I was charged $20 more for 1 of them when I was checking out. The cashier was very rude and said that the price had just gone up (I guess that $20 went in her pocket). When I unwrapped the rugs at my home, they were definitely not the quality of the ones on display. When I called the store, the person I spoke with was not helpful at all. This doesn't make any sense! When I say HUGE...it's like a big warehouse FULL of home decorating goods. I walked in and immediately was overwhelmed at the sheer size of the place and the thousands of items in there. It's located in the Battlefield section of Chesapeake and as is mostly the case with the Battlefield/Greenbrier shopping areas coherent traffic patterns and parking lots were not at the forefront of engineers and urban planners minds. However, once you navigate your way to the parking lot there is plenty of parking. I would recommend before you go into the ridge that you kinda sorta have an idea of what you're looking for. The first time I went in there I just sort of wandered around to see what they had to redecorate my place -- three and a half hours later -- I came out with a headache and my feet hurting! I vowed never again... The selections seem endless. Pretty much whatever you can imagine for making your abode feel like home I assure you it's in there. From the radical college student to the discerning empty nesters the styles and choices are abundant. They do have some basic furniture pieces in there but I don't think it's not high end. It looks and feels like starter sets or add on pieces to a man cave or sunroom. The staff is pretty hands off unless you summon them for assistance. The store may be huge but it's pretty well laid out. As for myself, I have found several pieces that have helped me slowly transform my once boring bachelor cave into a smooth coffee/jazz/spoken word lounge...one piece at a time. If you're in the neighborhood and in need of furnishing an empty place for cheap or looking for eclectic accent pieces here and there to spruce up what you have in place then Garden Ridge is definitely one of those places I highly recommend. read more

They even had A/C on, which they never have had before. They're not really changing what they carry (thank goodness!) But they are streamlining the look along with really tidying up, which is great. Used to be Garden Ridge many many years ago. They have a lot of items that you won't necessarily find in other stores. Decorations, furniture, pet items, bedding etc. First time inside of At Home. Was impressed with the size of the store and the availability of products. Downside: they are extremely expensive. I wonder if the prices were raised due to COVID-19 or if this is the norm? Any-who, found a bed for my dog $9.99, my type of price. Cashier was friendly and helpful. This store is great for after season sale items. Last year I took my brother here right when they had Christmas clearance and he scored beautiful Christmas tree for next to nothing. We picked some inexpensive decorations for it and he is all set for next several years to come. I love to shop here during after Xmas sale for items I normally would not buy such as extra ribbon or expensive faux flowers. I much rather pay $1 than $9 for when planning next years colors for my house's Holiday theme. As you can tell I'm a bargain hunter. This is the place to get your bargain shopping after every season. Summer outdoor furniture pads galore! You can basically get a full set at such low prices that even if quality is not all that, you can afford to replace them every other summer. Their large pot planters are beautiful and the selection is one of the best in this area. There are some sections of this store that I am not a fan of, but if I was looking to inexpensively decorate my dorm or first apartment, I would still choose to look and get some things here. My favorite store for all decor and home essentials!!! I have gone here weekly since I've moved to my new house. They have good deals and I love the clearance items. You just need to search and I was able to get 2 beautiful, modern canvases for my house for under $100 total. The sticker price said $99.00 but rang up half off! They have everything for u to be move in ready for your house. I love my barstool I purchased from them. I saw they had a few scratches and a minor ring on the metal. The selection of stuff here is RIDICULOUS (from lawn furniture to bathroom decor to dinning room furniture) and the prices are extremely reasonable. Even my husband - who typically hates places like this - LOVES this place. We bought our patio furniture here about 3 years ago and it's still kicking! Garden Ridge is probably the biggest garden supply store this area has to offer. But actually the 'garden supply' area is a very small part of the whole store. It's a huge warehouse of home goodies. They have a great art section with framed and unframed pieces. I think they have two aisles of nothing but mirrors (that should tell you something about the size of this place). They even have some furniture here, it's on the cheap side and always looks super comfy. If there is any holiday that you need decorations for Garden Ridge is by far the place to be. When Christmas rolls around they have so many lighted yard accessories it's almost ridiculous. You can find anything you need for Halloween too with plenty of outdoor and indoor decorations. This is a really fun store to look through, just make sure you've set aside a decent chunk of time to do so. read more

This was one of my first places I chose to seek out only being in the area a week. I have to admit they have a lot of stuff however I couldn't find a shower curtain that was hookless. I assumed this place would have them but assuming got me nowhere. I thought the prices were a bit on the higher side but I am known to be frugal. I also passed by a few employees and not one of them acknowledged me. I don't expect anyone to really notice me but I do expect an employee to have the common curtesy to interact with the reason they have the job in the first place.
