The service was bad. They got rid of Christmas stuff before Christmas even got here and they already had valentines days stuff out. There was Good value of materials. And the customer service was really bad because the person behind the counter cussed out loud while my family and I were standing there. The person didn't seem happy at all and didn't even greet us. I've been coming here for many years. However, it's been a while since I've been here. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this yet. I love this place! There is soooo much inside this store. With the holidays coming, you'll find tons of very reasonably priced gifts. There's everything from purses, luggage, make up, bathroom items, home decor, shoes, clothes for everyone in the family, kitchen supplies, and much more. They have social distancing protocols in place. Upon entering, we were asked to wait until some people left the facility. I was a little disappointed shopping here. It's not what or how I remember it a few years ago. There wasn't much to pick from. Lots of fall and winter clothes still on the floor from seasons past not new and coming. I did find some face cream that I purchased. The store wasn't very clean. The only associates I saw were at the checkout. The front doors could really use some cleaning. I don't know, it seemed like shopping here really hit home with our shipping issues, but they're unfortunately not the only ones. When I moved to the area years ago, I was happy to see the shopping trifecta of TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshall's in this shopping center. *smile* Things have changed, but one thing that's been consistent with this location is I've always experienced good customer service. Staff are often moving quickly to put merchandise out. This location definitely keeps hair and beauty items heavily stocked. Would love to see a better variety of purses though. read more

I honestly didn't start coming here as often as I do now until last year, I'm sooo upset that I never really came here that much because man you can definitely find a lot of things here for cheap. I have found clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, gifts, toys, books, baby stuff to bath, bed and kitchenware (oh and even snacks too). They have named brand stuff as well for less than other department stores from Michael Kors, Coach, Jessica Simpson, Calvin Kline, Guess, Nike, Adidas, Carter's, and more... you name it. They have lots of other things too, just browse and you'll definitely find something good. I've never left TJMAXX without anything in my hand unless I've forgotten my wallet at home lol. This location is clean, and pretty organized compared to Ross next door to it. And most of the employees are kind and helpful, but I have met a few unhelpful employees too. This location is across from the Greenbrier Mall. They carry clothes, shoes, household goods and more. I was in search of a meat cleaver unfortunately, they didn't have any. I found a very limited assortment of seasonings, a few journals, a book bag and a box of moisturizing facial masks instead. My point is you never know what hidden treasures you might find here! Exercise equipment - electronics, purses, and perfume scents. You should check them out before paying for a pricey one, just saying. I typically love shopping at this location but lately it has been a circus there. Yesterday we were followed around by a staff member who finally asked us if we needed any help. When we told her what we were looking for (plain hoodies in any color), she told us that she "didn't know where they would be but they are most likely just scattered around". Then when it came time to checkout, I was asked to donate which I said no because I already donate a large sum of my paycheck and I never trust that stores are actually giving all the money they collect to the charity they are "supporting". As I started to walk out of the store, I noticed an unknown charge on my receipt, I went back to the cashier to see what it was. She said it was an accident and gave me the money out of the till drawer but never mind the fact that I was charged tax on that unknown charge that I did not get that back! So much better than Ross. In fact, if you're reading this review and live in the area DON'T GO TO ROSS!!!!! TJ Maxx looks so much better and all of the racks are filled with clothes. The Men's section is a good size and caters to the population. Don't expect to find Ralph Lauren Purple Label or Hickey Freeman dress shirts here. But if you dig deep enough, you may come across an Abboud. I've always wondered about the shoes at discount retailers at TJ Maxx. It seems weird to sell shoes outside of the box. Does it lower the price by not offering a box? I checked out a few pairs and found a pair of Cole Haan's. I was a bit perplexed. It looked like an Air Adams Bit Loafer, but there was no box to confirm this, so I tried it on. I've tried the shoe on before at Neiman Marcus - Paramus so I knew what it would feel like. The left shoe was tighter than the right. DEFECT! That would explain why it was selling for $69. They normally retail for $200. For the record, I was already wearing dress socks. I tried returning a weighted blanket that I purchased for $60 but was able to find one for cheaper and that included a cover but somehow due to technical difficulties it says the item was returned already on my email receipt. Obviously that's incorrect because I physically brought the item and receipt to the store they called over this short white manager who was so rude did not greet me with a smile did not ask me any questions she did not provide any help. She looked at the monitor put the blanket back in the bag and said "have a nice day". Good thing the other employees underneath her provided me with great help but she just ruined the whole experience currently on the phone with the district for TJ Maxx hopefully this gets resolved. read more

The TJ Maxx in Greenbrier is another place that I sometimes stop into when I'm on my lunch break and need a little shopping escape. In the past couple of months this place has gone through a renovation and is really nice inside now. They redid the front areas with the cashiers and as also made some changes to the 'home-décor' area. They really amped this area up and have added more products such as silverware, glasses, plates, bowls, cooking pots and pans, bed sheets, pillows, bathroom décor and more. I was really impressed the last time I was in and have made a point to go back several times since. I used to go into this TJ Maxx and everything seemed to be out of place, or all over the floor but now everything is kept in its proper place and the store is nice and neat.
