Style Encore Chesapeake hosted a Ladies Night Out event this evening and I'm so glad that I was able to attend! Refreshments, giveaways, and discounts made this event so much fun! Staff is always so friendly and attentive whether they're asking to take some empty hangers out of your hands, or asking if you'd like for them to place all of your terrific finds behind the cash wrap to free up your hands to continue shopping. I always enjoy how clean and well organized the store is kept. The aisles are spacious. The clothing racks are clearly marked by size and the different sections are arranged according to styles with attention to colors. This retail team truly takes time to keep their selections appealing to their customers. This evening's event featured 90% off clearance, 20% off storewide, and 10% off designer ($250 or less). The service is great. The ladies are always quite friendly. They do get busy from time to time and so it's quite important to kind of plan your day accordingly sometimes it can take a little but most of the time they're quite quick... This is one of the better places I recommend it over close mentor!!!! their store is very organized and they have an amazing selection and the prices are fair. read more

My son brought 3 giant bags of excellent clothes shoes and purses and the lady said she only wanted one item because my clothes were worn torn and old - she didn't go through the bags because there were clothes with tags still on it and I ONLY wear an outfit once and normally donate! I had Gap Lands End and Nine West shoes never worn out of house! Lazy lazy lazy! I will NEVER shop here and will sell my stuff on posh - hope this place goes out of business! read more

First time here and I was very impressed with their selections. I got two larger sized casual shirts (very little visible wear) for a good price. Their 90% clearance sale didn't really apply to men's as they have not been selling menswear for very long. The staff is very helpful and always making eye contact to see if you need any help. I've been coming here since Clothes Mentor in VA Beach closed and had nothing but wonderful experience here (both as a buyer and as a seller. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, their prices are very reasonable, and the store and fitting rooms are clean and organized. I lo e their extensive selection of both. Men and women's clothing, but most importantly, I love their handbag and shoes collections (that's my weakness). As a seller, they always have been very fair with me, sure some days they'll take a lot of my stuff and some days it's just 1 or 2 items, but that's the nature of the fashion consignment world and I don't take it personally, they're still a business that's trying to survive. Updated review: they sell Men's items now which is nice because there aren't really any places that take mature men's brands in the area. Plato's mainly takes teenage styles. They are still looking for casual styles but I love that they are expanding their inventory styles. Staff is still top notch here! I always feel so welcomed and appreciated for my business. I love this store and I'm not sure if one of the ladies is the owner or manager but she is amazing however, there are two girls that work at the store that are the most unfriendly, unhappy and rude people I have ever met. If you look at the wedding photo you can see the bride and the girl on the left. Those are the two girls I am talking about. This location is not yet open for purchasing but they are steadily accepting gently used clothing to stock the shelves. The premise is simple: bring in your clothing, shoes, accessories in good condition for the staff to look at. Any items that they want to keep, they will offer cash for. I've been in 3 times and they have taken almost everything I've brought for extremely fair prices. I couldn't sell most of my stuff online for less! I'm excited for when they start selling. Do not go here trying to sell clothes if you're a person of color. I was not greeted as I walked in, I had to get an employee's attention to figure out the process. I brought 5 pairs of heels/sandals along with a bag of dresses. They told me they do not accept heels but would not even take a look at the sandals. They accepted the bag of dresses that had around 22 different style dresses (Some formal, others casual). The younger lady asked for my ID, and as I handed it to her, she grabs it by the tip of her fingers with a face of disgust. She told me they will send me a text when they're done reviewing everything. I step outside into my car for about a minute then received a text that my offer was ready. I go back in and my bag of clothes was sitting there, much less intact than when I brought it in. My clothes were not folded back and she says everything is too formal or with too much wear and they could not accept it. I say thank you have a good day as I am walking out, not hearing anything else. I would not even give them my business if you are a person of color. Extremely rude and off throwing. read more

I love a good deal on clothing and accessories. I found Style Encore by accident as I was picking up dinner one night. The next day I visited, and I'm glad I did! Great selection of clothing, all in order by size and color. This makes the experience so much better. They also have a great selection of handbags and accessories. The shop is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, and has friendly associates assisting. The dressing rooms are spacious as well. Like most shops like this, the fun is in the hunt. There are gems priced well below retail, I found one on clearance for a dollar. You have to look, but I love that part. There's also items priced fairly high, but still below retail. i just left style encore chesapaeake. i took 4 large bags of clothes, from wrangler jeans, italian jackets, cocktail dress, junior jean jacket and business suits, some with tags still display from macy and dillards. within 20 mins i was told my items were ready to pick up. there is no way the staff could have gone through all of the items. No way. i get they dont take shoes, however to not have made an offer on not one item leaves me suspect. As i was leaving the store, another african american was leaving the store and she had the exact experience. not one item was taken from her 3 bags of clothing also with tags still on them. i was told they accept blazers, i had 5 blazers in one of the bags, 505 jeans, so that tells me the 2 ladies never looked through all of the bags. i will not be back or recommend this store to anyone and will share my story to everyone. read more
