Best burger I've had in years !
    Michael N.

Very nice place is an unassuming area. Didn't expect for it to look so good. The food was amazing and the staff were very accommodating. The " Elevated " part of the establishment has huge tvs and couches available to watch sports over drinks and a bite with a lounge in the back. Celebrated my good friend Tawana's birthday here yesterday and it did not disappoint. Check it out on a Friday if you're in the LIC area.

This was the only serving they gave us for 4 people to sample.. then we didn't get anymore after this. So sad.

Came here for a "free tasting" event that they were hosting so that people could try their menu items... I didn't have much expectations going in since the description they gave for the event was pretty vague. Upon entering, they told us (we were a group of 4) that we'd be trying a sampler of each item on their menu and that if we wanted to buy the normal size portion or drinks, we had the option to. They also told us that we would get a tour of the venue after our samplers. We sat down and the waiter gave us samplers (x2) of a few of the appetizers. This wasn't even all of the appetizers that they had on the menu. The menu had about 12 appetizers and atleast 15+ main entree items. We got to try around 5 of the appetizers on the menu. After we finished the 1st set of samples, we were expecting them to come back to give us different menu items next. Our tables were cleared and our waters stayed filled but every time we flagged someone down to ask about more samples, they just said "we'll get you a few more soon" or "it just comes out randomly". WE WAITED NEARLY 1 HOUR FOR MORE SAMPLES AND NEVER GOT MORE AFTER THE 1ST ROUND PICTURED!!! We watched as other tables were getting a few more here and there but they kept dismissing our table even though we kept asking different servers. Maybe it was because we didn't buy anything??? But this was advertised as a FREE tasting and they told us that we'd be trying the whole menu so we sat down with that expectation!!!! It felt like they bait and switched us and then started ignoring us after we didn't order anything extra because we only got to try a few items. Maybe we would have ordered food if we got to try what they tasted like since that was the purpose of the event??? Also, I want to mention that they are overpriced. Their menu is giving Manhattan prices. $20 for a cocktail. After we didn't want to wait anymore, we decided to do the tour since we were already there. We got a tour of the venue (given to us by the owner) which was really nice and spacious. I must say the venue is very big and gives speakeasy vibes. They are 420 friendly and allow smoking on the upper level/outside patio area. There was a bar underground and a hookah lounge on the upper level. The venue itself was the only positive thing about this entire experience. At the end of the tour, we asked if they had any papers. They took forever getting us papers and then when they finally brought it out to us, they charged us $5 for a half used pack of papers.... Like seriously?? We sat down on the outside back patio trying to roll up and one of the staff came up to me and told me I couldn't sit on the table outside. Then they kept coming up to us and giving us menus to buy bottles and being pushy about the menu. We hadn't planned on staying so this made me really annoyed and uncomfortable. The place and owner is sleazy and grimey. I will only come back if someone else is paying for me. Otherwise, hell no!!!!!

Servers were very kind and attentive, it's a very well decorated bar and we appreciated the live music as well. I tried the Jackie O and the Ludwig's Brush and enjoyed both however the Ludwig's Brush was a more unique drinking experience (Apricot forward). From sampling my friends drinks I can also say they make a very good Dirty Martini.

The service however was mediocre and did not meet the standards usually found at a luxury hotel bar. It felt impersonal and lacked the professionalism I expected for the cost. The cocktails were such a disappointment. I ordered a gimlet from the menu and it was incredibly basic. At these prices I expect a level of craft and balance that was simply missing. It was a standard drink that could be found at almost any mid tier bar in the city. The atmosphere was also difficult to enjoy because of the noise level. It was loud enough inside that maintaining a conversation was a struggle. The space seems to have become more of a scene for a specific social crowd rather than a place for a nice drink. On a positive note the restroom was well maintained and clean. It is a small space with two stalls. I do not quite see the allure of this spot based on this visit. The lack of creative or at least well crafted drinks and the loud environment made the experience feel like a poor value overall. There are several better options nearby for someone seeking a quality martini and professional service.

So I really appreciate when I can get real food during a weekend brunch hour. When we arrived it was empty with only a few tables. Our server, Daniel was excellent and attentive. And the food was delicious! We ordered several dishes, for apps: octopus and crab cakes. At first when the octopus arrive it was only a few sliced pieces, which was a disappointment on a bed of farro and asparagus. However it was still delicious! And the crake cakes were excellent. I like when crab cakes are not too breaded and this one had solid crab pieces. For mains I ordered the chicken francese, chicken parm with pasta and bolognese. All of them came with homemade pasta that had a nice texture. I loved my chicken francese! Overall, we are already plotting our return. Great Italian restaurant in the heart of UES.

I went to this Italian restaurant with one of the many groups I attend dinners with. The staff was…read morefriendly, and the atmosphere was nice, with plenty of people inside along with our large group. The menu isn't the largest, but they gave a long list of specials on a separate menu. The specials don't have their price listed, which made it a bit awkward ordering, as I asked about a bunch of the main dishes, which were all apparently $50 to $60. In terms of drinks, we split a large selection of BYOB as per the group. I decided to go with an appetizer and pasta. However, in retrospect, I probably should have gotten the Branzino Alla Livornese, or another fish dish as my main dish, or skipped the appetizer entirely and ordered one of the expensive fish dishes. My appetizer was the pretty good Polpette for $14, listed as homemade meatballs, tomato sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. This came with several small soft meatballs with a decently flavored tomato sauce. I slightly prefer other spots, which gave larger meatballs as they have more texture, but they were fine, and the number of them makes it so you can split this dish. This was good enough. My main dish, rather regrettably, was the $26.95 Tagliatelle Ai Funghi with shiitake, cremini, portobello, oysters, and marsala wine. The portion was decent, and the pasta was decently cooked, though slightly soft for my liking. There was a good amount of mushrooms, which paired well with the very typical wine sauce, but there was another major issue with said sauce. The dish contained many sprigs of charred aromatics mixed among the sauce and mushrooms, which were presumably thyme, judging by the earthy aftertaste. The charred pieces overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the sauce and the pasta, also having a very unappetizing texture. It wasn't like it was just large pieces that could be easily picked out, so I occasionally got an overly earthy and bitter bite. I would have brought this up with the waitstaff, but they were very overwhelmed, so eventually I stopped eating. This place had friendly staff, and many other dishes looked tasty. However, I didn't have the best dining experience.

The one thing that stood out for us was how the staff and patrons all interacted like a family. The wait staff had a true camaraderie and seemed to interact with each other like an well-oiled machine who truly cared about their jobs, the patrons, and one another! How refreshing. As for drinks and food, you likely can't go wrong with any of their menu selections. "Must try" items include the Lemon Dahl -- a.k.a. yellow lentils (trust me; get this) -- the Chicken Tikka, and Seekh Kabab (ground lamb). But every dish we saw come out to nearby tables looked yummy!! I can't wait to go back and try even more dishes! The interior is eclectic and feels cozy! We sat at the bar during our visit, but DM would definitely be great for a date night, too, because it's so intimate feeling inside. Try Drunken Monkey if you are ever in the UES and on the lookout for some unique Indian food! We'll definitely return for another visit soon!

There were some heavy hors d'oeuvres which included your tropical charcuterie options, fried calamari and artichoke, and mini arancini. I must say, that arancini was amaaaaaazing. I didn't want to be greedy so I only had two, and I'm still kicking myself for being so modest. They were worth the calories. Luciano was the main server for the mixer and recommended a white wine that I cannot remember. I want to thank him as I frequently get migraines afterwards and even though I had three glasses, I woke up feeling fine. My colleagues and I stayed for dinner and Luciano was our server (yay!). He was so charismatic and attentive during our meal. I ended up trying the l'hamburger which was made with rib tips, while most of my team went for the steak. The burger was probably one of the best that I've had - there was so much flavor and it was really moist. Also, it was the perfect size. I left feeling satisfied, but not overwhelmed or heavy. The fries weren't really fries, though. They were potato wedges, and they didn't really add much to the meal. I didn't finish them. Although we opted out of desert, Luciano brought out complementary tiramisu and a slice of hazelnut cake for the table to share. I definitely enjoyed my experience.

Our beautiful wives had the idea to find a nice place to grab an afternoon snack and cocktail and decided on trying out the Mark Bar first They were able to score bar seats so we had the perfect spot for afternoon fun. The coolest thing about the Mark Bar was something we've never seen in a bar. Many had their dogs with them in the bar. It was a nice treat for us since we love pups. Every designer breed you can imagine was enjoying the beautiful space with their people. Another nice touch was the gourmet hot chocolate and chili dog cart they had stationed on the sidewalk outside next to the hotel entrance. We regrettably passed on the chili dog, but had their prize winning hot cocoa. So good!!! The Mark Bar is chic and warm. It oozes stylish and loungy. We struck up a number of friendly discussions with folks around us when one of our crew thought they lost their phone at the bar. Everyone dropped what they were doing to help us look for it. Good thing she found it in her back pocket. Of course the people watching on the Upper East Side is spectacular and it didn't disappoint. Everyone was as friendly as they were dressed to the nines.
