Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

I like the crispy chicken better, just because it added texture to the dish. Not bad, just not that good. We got the food within 5 minutes after we ordered. It was fine, the noodles were a good texture, just not a very flavorful dish. It's a fun place to try. Service was fast and there was plenty of seating. Seemed to be a super touristy spot near broadway.

I called Bucatini, and they were able to accommodate us about 20 minutes later with no problem. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, and the ambience is modern and beautiful. The food was very good, and overall the service was fine, but I felt like it was missing a little warmth. Maybe it's just personal preference, but when I think of Italian restaurants, I think of hospitality that feels genuine, warm, and from the heart ~ almost like you've been transported to Italy. Here, the service felt a little more standoffish and had more of that classic New York vibe. One small interaction also stood out. We initially ordered the focaccia, but within a minute changed our minds after realizing the whipped ricotta with tomatoes also came with bread. When we asked our server (older gentleman) to remove the focaccia, he responded that he "had already put the order in" and seemed reluctant to change it. Having worked in restaurants myself, I know that modifying or voiding an item right after it's entered usually isn't a huge ordeal, so the interaction felt a little unnecessary and put me off. Other than that, the food was good and the restaurant itself is lovely. New York City has so many restaurants serving excellent food that, for me, exceptional hospitality is what really separates one place from another. With a little more warmth in the service, this easily could have been a 5-star experience.

If you order pickup on DoorDash, you are going to get an estimate for when your order will be ready. The estimate is not actually useful -- they are so speedy, that they don't start your order until you arrive. You actually might be better off just ordering directly from them and cutting out the middle man. 2. Their dish Al Tacchino is described as having turkey, carrots, celery and onions in the sauce. They somehow missed mentioning tomatoes which is probably the main ingredient. I cannot eat tomatoes so this was not a happy surprise. Enjoy!

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..

The food was delicious and straightforward, delicately balancing high-quality ingredients. Bread basket (10/10): I usually don't fill up on bread, but a crumb this pillowy and springy is rare so I couldn't miss it. Insalata di carciofi (9/10): This was a surprise. I don't think I've ever had raw artichoke. It divided the table; some didn't like the raw vegetal taste. I loved its refreshing grassy flavor and meaty texture paired with the sharp umami Parmesan, the earthy flavors melded all together with the olive oil. My only note is that the appetizers are all slightly pricey. Tagliatelle al tartufo (10/10): Perfect homemade pasta texture. Strong truffle flavor with a generous amount grated on top at the table. Just the right amount of sauce. The sweet red wine we picked was delectably fruity too. I would come back to try more of the pastas and perhaps the tiramisu.
