    Tortiglioni alla vodka
    Al H.

Few things are this quick, this easy, and this good. Wonder is how did I get by this long until now? This place was near a community meeting I attended. It finished around 9pm, so something quick and easy would do the trick. A spanking new location in East Village, I placed my order on a tablet in the store and just minutes later, it was ready. I took mine to go. This minimalist decor had tables and seating for couples and singles. I had the tortiglioni vodka. Cooked al dente and the sauce with a bit of cheese and a hint of spice was totally delicious.

Hanu Poke- build your own bowl with half tuna and half salmon
    Lila L.

Ordered from Hanu Poke for pick-up and did the build your bowl option with half tuna and half salmon. Fish was fresh and portion was big. I enjoyed the poke rice which wasn't overly sticky and had the right amount of vinegar. The various toppings were solid and added a crunchy texture to the overall meal. I've ordered at this Wonder location several times for Hanu Poke and noticed sometimes the portions are inconsistent and one time they gave me someone else's order so double check if you can. Otherwise, convenient place for lunch and pick-up is fast.

    BYO tofu poke bowl
    Alexa R.

I've ordered salads and poke bowls from Wonder, and have had mixed experiences. From the four times I've been, they've gotten my order slightly wrong three times. Luckily, I've noticed each time and they've been able to add the mixing ingredient. The food is decent, but nothing great. I will say the quality of the poke tuna and salmon was not very good, enough so that I ended up picking it all out and not eating it. The next time I ordered a poke bowl, I made sure to avoid the fish and just get tofu. The tofu poke bowl was good and probably the best thing I've tried from Wonder.

    Brussel sprouts by maydan

A good concept, ordering from multiple restaurants at once for pickup. I wish the ordering could be laid out a little better with options to customize a little hard to maneuver. I did enjoy that the nutrition information changed with edits. The food did seem to veer towards the more expensive side. I ordered a make your own poke salad and the Brussel sprouts from maydan. The poke salad was fresh but the sauce was only put on the protein - as stated on the receipt so I had to add extra sauce. And even though I was in the store for pickup immediately when it was ready the Brussel sprouts weren't super warm and lacked crispiness by the time I made the short walk home. I also wish they gave chopsticks with the poke bowl! Good overall but I wish the Brussel sprouts items were more fresh and both items needed a little more sauce!

    Burned cornbread
    Maria R.

Ordered a few things from Streetbird from the Wonder food court and was instantly sick. The cornbread was burned all the way as per my photos. The chicken tenders not only were burned but tasted like someone's freezer. The waffle was a 4x4 square that I could have bought from the supermarket with better quality. Either the pickles or the butter went terribly bad. I could taste the expiration date. My sister instantly vomited, the food didn't make it down.

Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson Chicken Tenders Combo with Hot Maple Chile Sauce and Coleslaw

Such an unusual concept! It's a "Food Hall" but all the vendors are out of site in the kitchen. You order from 20 different eateries/menus via the automated kiosks or from your phone app or via the browser on your computer, and you pick up the food from a single counter helmed by a friendly soul, (A+ Service!!!). The food when ready is presented well packaged with care and clearly labeled. There is the option to sit down at a few tables in the narrow space, and there is also a cushioned bench, a nook in the wall across facing the tables. A gender neutral restroom rounds out the narrow space. Now the food itself is a mixed bag with some dishes satisfying with others falling short of the mark. Barrio Cafe's Queso Fundido for $9 tasted too heavily of mushroom and the chorizo could not be tasted. You are better off getting the Tejas Barbecue Queso & Chips for $7 that had a more balanced and developed flavor. Note that the tortilla chips you get are the same from both menus and are good quality. Mr D's Classic Fried Chicken 4 piece bucket for $12.95 was crispy and juicy, but the 2 Biscuits for $4.95 are too small and dense with not enough flavor, and I did not like the taste of the apple butter. Magnolia Bakery's Banana Pudding 1 Pint for $9.45 was DELICIOUS with a lovely smooth texture and cakey wafer cookies. The Street bird by Marcus Samuelsson Chicken Tenders were TERRIBLE - no flavor, dry, burned in spots. I had ordered the Combo for $14.45 that came with 3 small chicken tenders, hot maple chile sauce - good flavor, coleslaw, and a drink. The Harney & Sons Organic Lemonade was really refreshing! The Burger Baby Classic Burger patty was unexceptional but the ingredients tasted fresh so it was decent and not very expensive at $6.95. Their classic fries at $4.95 were well cooked, thick and crispy; I really enjoyed that. I look forward to trying out more items from all the menus.

    Pastrami sandwich

Food court gourmet ordering app. Food is from different restaurants I've actually had before. Cheese steak was solid and wings are huge. Price is a touch higher than I would normally want to pay for a meal. Pastrami was a miss though. Don't get that. Dry.

Fried chicken sandwich deluxe and onion rings

Food tasted good but the portions have to be better for the price. Have to pay almost $7 for onion rings and I only get 5??? That's more than $1 per onion ring, you have to be kidding me.

In helping him troubleshoot the block, I learned of this amazing take out sushi that is unlike any other take out I've had before. We went for the Joji Box 1 and I wasn't sure what to expect but wow. This little box of goodness rivals some omakases I've had in person. The fish was fresh, and the rice was perfect temperature without falling apart. Even the box felt like it was a high end gift box. Everything is tucked away in this box: chopsticks, napkins, sauce dishes, fresh real wasabi, and even soy sauce from a tiny bottle. What a treat. Also their spicy tuna is easily one of the best I've had in recent years. Just wow.

TLDR: Fancy sushi to go. Definitely on the pricier side but quality of toppings are premium, the…read morepackaging is sexy and the most important part of quality sushi is top notch. The rice. I'd splurge on it if you want to treat yourself to a good "to go" lunch or dinner. Definitely do so if you have corporate meal allowance. I was always curios about Joji Box but it' s not cheap - so like many I wondered if it was worth it. Eventually took one for the team. The first time I got the omakase box I didn't love having to sauce/wasabi it myself but I think that's just being picky. The last time I got the omaakase box, the omakase chirashi and the maki flight. The omakase box is a good assortment with a shimi, salad, two maki rolls and 10 nigiri. The pieces vary with premium ingredients like kinmedai, ikura, uni, toro, etc. It's costly at $62 but I think you get what you pay for. The chirashi had a variety of sashimi, lots of ikura and plenty of sushi rice. It's very good but for $50 I'd rather kick in more $ for the omakase. Maki Flight is great, $21 for a sampling of their three best rolls. It's 12 pieces total but they're nice size with a good amount of filling. If you're looking to treat yourself for lunch or maybe a nicer dinner takeaway - solid choice. I'm convinced enough that I'll try Joji for real one night.
