Finally got around to trying Parlor Doughnuts after hearing a lot of people compare this to Sidecar (my favorite donut place). It's located right on PCH so parking can be a little tricky but I love how you can enjoy your donut and walk right on the beach. There is a wide selection of flavors to choose from but do note that all of the flavors use the same plain base donut... What makes each flavor different is the icing and toppings on each one. As for the donut itself, i would describe it as a cross between a traditional yeast donut and a cronut (croissant donut); very crisp on the outside and has layers throughout the donut with a slight airy and chewy texture. I feel like you can't compare this place to Sidecar as Sidecar has more of a focus on yeast and cake donuts and the bases to their donuts are all different depending on the flavor.

Every time I've gone into this store, I've been greeted so warmly by the owner. She is genuinely so nice that you want to buy up all the donuts. Ordered: French toast, which is the store's popular donut, tastes like an upgraded maple bar Raspberry jelly- fluffy powdered and jammy, exactly like a jelly should be Pistachio - I think it was seasonal, but it was my favorite crunchy & nutty glaze donut Chill vibes, a few tables are available

These were more like cronuts, but the staff was very nice and the flavors and toppings were extraordinary! Definitely give this place a shot!

I'm no donut expert but this here is what any doughnut connoisseur would call amazing! I ordered the highly suggested Strawberry Shortcake and it was even better than I imagined. Their selection of sweet and savory options is certainly a great reason to come back. The service was nice and friendly. And whether you're seated inside or outside you'll Be happy here.

I was so happy to see that Parlor opened in H.B. I go to the Oceanside location all the time. This location is right across from the pier. I ended up getting a maple bacon, and a cookies and cream doughnut. Both were very good. The doughnuts are messy so grab a couple napkins. I always scrap the drippings from the box that's the best part and I don't want to throw it away. The place was busy but the line went fast. This will be my first stop anytime im at H.B.

Finally got to try Parlor Donuts (national store #100) after many months of drive by peaks and coming soon delays. Fun decorations inside and a big selection that feels a more like a donut art display than a typical donut case. After an extended deliberation (yah no line today)... I went with the caramel turtle donut, about 450 calories, so definitely a special-treat situation. Soft on the inside and really well made. A bit of guilt when I ripped a large wide bite into the closest corner. Yum and I had the sugar mouth corners and crumbs on my shirt as my badge of honor. Worth it! It's on PCH so parking can be tricky, but the ocean view makes up for it and feels fitting since the donuts are just as sweet. A little pricey, but enjoyable and worth it when you're in the mood to splurge. Carpe Donut! You'd have to be nuts not to try this dough!

Came here for their grand opening because I might have been bribed by a free donut. We ended up getting a free donut each, and my husband ordered a cup of coffee. I ordered their coconut cream filled, which is absolutely delicious and he ended up with a maple bacon, which is also pretty good. The line moved relatively quickly, the shop was definitely well staffed in anticipation of the grand opening, and their donuts were stocked!! Cute interior. I'd definitely let my LO hang out here when it's less busy. Downtown has been needing a sweet shop like this so I'm glad we finally got it! I can't wait to come back and try one of their sandwiches.

Obsessed might be an understatement... literally if I lived in Cali I'd probably be here every day. We ordered 6 different flavors (strawberry shortcake, sandy beach, French toast, strawberry carnival, and chocolate chocolate) and each one had its own unique flavor and was just as good as the next. It was crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. Service was also great, gave us some good recommendations. Definitely a spot I'd keep coming back to!

The server was helpful in choosing a fun variety as it was our first time there. The place is rather small but it's cute and clean and most people don't plan on eating their donuts in the donut shop anyways. We loved the dough on these and the fun flavors. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the cream on top tasted like oily fake cream rather than fluffy homemade cream which I expected with the "made fresh daily marketing". I would definitely recommend these though over a normal doughnut shop and a pumped because I just discovered they have one in my hometown in UT!

DON'T WALK, RUN TO GET THESE DONUTS!! These are hands down some of the best west coast donuts I've had. They have a ton of different flavors to pick from and if they're out they even offer to make more. The staff was amazing and gave a ton of recommendations to choose from. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating also a water fountain to help with the sweet tooth.

I have been waiting a long time for this location to open up and it finally happened! I went to the grand opening and was the second person to receive a shirt and buy some doughnuts! I am fan of the doughnuts and the quality of this establishment so far is keeping the Parlor Doughnuts reputation high and steady. Still getting the hang of things the employees were doing a great job with the crowd they had. I believe I met one of the owners; she and the employees were very polite and definitely made me feel like an appreciated customer! The doughnuts were all good. I would not call these a traditional doughnut, but if you are a fan of doughnuts, you will like these doughnuts. These doughnuts are definitely made with quality ingredients. My favorite is the carnival vanilla glaze. Very traditional and a solid doughnut. I bought a couple of the mini doughnuts with the base cinnamon sugar cover and they tasted good without any topping on them. The bread of these doughnuts are good enough to eat alone and only get elevated when they add their other toppings on these little pieces of heaven! I look forward to supporting this business in the future! Service 8/10 Food 8/10 Overal 8.5/10

No lines , nice selection friendly staff but all like flower children. How can u take 30 minutes to get one doughnut ????!!!!!!!!!!!!!when only one person is in line and several staff but either training new staff member. ??how rude one Cahier just took off. Messy management. The transition of change of shift was terrible experience for customers waiting. Doughnut was nice but pricey for just a doughnut and the miniature ones. Ambience of the displayed doughnuts was nice. But please improve service.

First review of 2026!…read more It's time to finally share my favorite matcha spot in all of OC (atm). While the first few visits were for their coffee drinks, it wasn't until they brought in the MAMA Latte that we started getting addicted. The drink is quite pricey, but it's one of the best matcha drinks I've personally had. It packs a punch of flavor, but is also smooth and creamy at the same time. My wife has also started trying their other variations such as the Cookie Butter Matcha and Creme Brulee Matcha (she enjoys the former one a lot). The lines are still long but definitely worth the wait. Will definitely be back!

But, Brew Story stands out for a few reasons: 1. Parking is easy and free in this strip mall. For me, this is a huge perk. 2. The variety is incredible, they have everything from a cookie butter latte to strawberry shortcake matcha and black sesame soft top. There's just so many options here that even if I always want to get the black sesame soft top matcha (which I do) there's always something new to try. 3. Lots of seating! Why do some places have like 1-2 tables? I want to sit and relax or do work and stay a while (and btw will order another drink while I do so)! There's a long table here for big groups, a few smaller ones, a more loungey area and a counter with bar stools. The one thing you might not love about this spot if you're used to a quick mobile order and pick up with no wait coffee situation is that it is a bit of a wait. I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush. Other than that, it's a great spot to enjoy a yummy pastry and flavored latte.

I pulled up while waiting on my sandwich from a nearby spot (multitasking at its finest), and decided to do what any self-respecting coffee enthusiast would do--wander into a local coffee shop like I know what "notes" I'm tasting. The barista immediately passed the vibe check and recommended the Groovy Gorilla iced latte--his personal favorite. Then he casually mentioned he makes it his own way, like some underground coffee remix. Say less. I told him to bless me with the custom version, and he delivered. (Shoutout to that man--he knew exactly what he was doing.) I also grabbed a massive chocolate chip cookie with sea salt flakes because... balance. You can't just have a handcrafted latte without a cookie the size of your face. That's against hipster coffee bylaws. First sip of the latte? Yeah... I got it. Banana, chocolate, peanut butter--basically if a smoothie and a dessert had a highly caffeinated, well-dressed child. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Only downside? It's in Huntington Beach and not LA, which feels like a personal inconvenience to me. But if you're anywhere nearby, this spot is absolutely worth pulling up to. Final verdict: great coffee, great vibes, and a barista who might secretly be a flavor scientist.

Not the best for drinks but a good option if you need a place to work/study that opens somewhat late & isn't crowded. We tried the matcha monkey (banana matcha) and their new summer drink, melona matcha. Their banana matcha was pretty sweet and strong in banana flavor in the cream top and syrup, but lacked the taste of matcha. Same for the melona matcha. Super refreshing as it's made with cantaloupe milk but no matcha. Not bad but they're not known for their matcha, so I would stick to their coffee. Minor things to note - they blast the AC so I would make sure to dress warmly or bring a jacket. Parking can be a bit rough but I confirmed with the barista that they don't check parking at the front, so you can ignore the time limit!
