My brother and I were seated and ordered coffee. Our waitress brought it, but no creamer or spoon. I asked for both; she brought the creamer but never brought the spoon. More importantly, she never came back to take our food order. A couple was seated literally right next to us, and the same waitress took their order, brought their drinks, and continued attending to them while completely overlooking us. I even said "Excuse me" three times as she walked away, and she never acknowledged me. Eventually, we decided to leave. My brother specifically told another woman working there that we wanted to pay for our coffees, and she told us, "It's okay, don't worry about it." As we were walking out, our waitress suddenly came running behind us, apparently thinking we were leaving without paying. The other woman had to tell her it was okay because she had already told us not to pay. I can't say for certain why we were treated differently, but my brother and I are Hispanic, and we both left feeling discriminated against. We couldn't help but notice that the table directly next to us received attentive service while we were repeatedly ignored. Then being chased as we left--after we had offered to pay--only made that feeling worse. I do want to thank the woman who told us not to worry about paying for the coffee. We absolutely intended to pay for it, but I appreciated her kindness and the gesture. I just hope management speaks with our waitress and reminds her that every customer who walks through that door deserves the same level of service and respect. We came in intending to sit down, order breakfast, pay for our meal, and enjoy our morning just like everyone else. Unfortunately, we never even got that opportunity. It's 2026. No one should walk into a restaurant and leave feeling discriminated against. Everyone deserves the same kindness and respect. We ended up going to another restaurant nearby, where we received wonderful service and happily left our waitress a 20% tip. Kindness and respect really do make a difference.
