Came on a random Thursday and met up with some of my bros. Got greeted right away when we went to order, got a pool table for two hours + 1 pitcher of beer. All the equipment was in good shape and there were plenty of tables. The Lakers game was on too so that was a plus! It looks like they also have darts. I wonder if they have Karaoke lol. We decided to order pizza and we could add whatever we wanted to on it. I was skeptical because I wasn't sure if this were just a pizza in a box. My buddy ended up ordering and this was way better than expected. They brought the pizza straight to our table and asked if we wanted anything else. We got french fries with ketchup too. For some reason, fries, pizza and beer at a pool table is such a vibe. We ordered one more pitcher to end the night. Overall, great spot! I love how chill it was. It also seemed that there was a small tournament happening and those guys looked like they were good! Definitely stopping by again to eat some pizza, oh and to work on my pool skills. read more

Not sure if it's the whole establishment or just the one bartender (whom I hope they got rid of), but witnessing racial profiling was completely disgusting. Bartender accused the only black + brown couple in the place of stealing when they didn't. The couple didn't cause any fuss and just left after being accused - they're better than me! My boyfriend and I came here for a fun date night and Scratch delivered. It was pretty poppin' and packed but we sat at the bar. It was the night before St. Patrick's Day so we drank green beer which was the goal of the evening. They have a huge beer selection so if you're a beer person, you should check it out. The drinks are always cold, and there is plenty of billiard tables for everyone to play. It is located near a university so there is a young crowd most of the time, but don't let that deter you. This review is long overdue!!!! I love this place me and my husband found this spot about 5 yrs ago and no matter how many billiards we've been to we always come back to this location. It's always such a fun time coming here you can play music through the app or on the digital "juke box" on the wall (next to the darts area). They have "appetizers" I put quotations because although they are appetizers they are a pretty good portion pretty much a meal the drinks are good they changed them often but it keeps it refreshing to have something new on the menu keeps it fun not boring. Overall such a great time bartenders are always so fun super nice overall the service is always great every single time we've been there. This has been my go to spot since high school... Always set up and ready to go to play a round of eight ball... Updates here are awesome, a lot more space now. The place was cool. One of the bartenders was being unnecessarily rude. I was in a group of 5 people, 2 of my friends gave their phone numbers to get on the waitlist for the pool tables. I've had my fair share of bad experiences, but nothing even comes close to how hostile and disrespectful my date and I were treated here. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was off--like we were being judged before we even had a chance to settle in. The first red flag was the male bartender. He barely acknowledged us when we asked a simple question. We were new to the place, and just trying to get a feel for the layout, but he acted like we were a major inconvenience. He didn't even try to make us feel comfortable--just cold, dismissive, and annoyed by our presence. Then it escalated. We were trying to play darts, and I needed a dollar. The bar was poorly lit, no bartender was in sight, and the place was dead silent. I saw the tip jar on the counter and, figuring it was just a quick trade, took a few quarters to exchange for a dollar. I didn't think it was a big deal--after all, the money was just going to be traded for cash anyway, right? Big mistake. I went to the bathroom, and when I came out, I was met with the female bartender, who was suddenly all over us like a hawk. She told my date we had to leave because "she had me on camera." At that point, I was in complete disbelief. She was accusing me of stealing over a single dollar, despite the fact that I'd been standing at the bar waiting for someone to come out for a while. If I was really trying to steal, why would I only take a dollar and then immediately return it? The whole thing didn't make sense--and neither did her aggressive behavior. But she wasn't having it. Instead of listening to any explanation, she just charged over, kicked us out, and didn't even give us a chance to explain ourselves. It was clear from the get-go that she wasn't interested in anything but throwing us out. Her attitude was hostile, defensive, and dismissive. It felt like she was looking for any excuse to accuse us of something, and it didn't take long to realize this wasn't about the dollar--it was about the color of our skin. When I came back later, hoping to at least explain myself, I told her the reason I took the quarters was because the lights behind the bar were off and I couldn't see anyone to ask for a dollar. She shut me down immediately, claiming there were no lights. But funny enough, when I came back much later, those lights were blindingly bright--clearly switched on after the fact. They had to have known what they were doing. I'm no fool. This wasn't just a misunderstanding--it was a deliberate, racially charged move to treat us like criminals from the moment we walked in. If we had been white, I have no doubt the situation would've been handled completely differently. But we weren't, and that made all the difference. The racism was palpable and blatant. I left a $10 tip because, frankly, I feel bad for the bartender. But make no mistake, that was the last dime I'll ever spend in that place. This kind of hostile, racist treatment has no place anywhere, and I won't stand for it. I'd advise anyone to stay far, far away from this establishment. There are plenty of other bars that know how to treat their customers with respect--this one isn't worth the hassle. read more

Immediately as we got there "Alley" was very rude and gave so much attitude then she later over charged us 2 pitchers of beer and then laughed in our faces when we told her. Then was talking about checking the cameras in front of us. I don't think this is the proper way of dealing with something as such especially if she's " management" very childish and unprofessional for this business does not look good. I finally went to this place this week. Two totally different experiences. Monday, 10/2/23, we are there playing pool with coworkers and getting beers and having a great time. Last night, 10/8/23, the bartender there wasn't helpful at all. My girlfriend wanted a stout that she had on Monday and instead of straight up telling us there are two, she goes to say they don't have it anymore and that they change their beers weekly. While this may be true, eventually we were made aware that the stout she had on Monday was in fact still there. The bartender then went to give her opinion that they don't taste good. I don't like stout, it's not my thing. But if a patron asks for one and wants to try it, that's their preference. Think it was stupid of the bartender to add this opinion. Also later in the night my friend ordered a Hefeweizen style beer and was poured the wrong drink. Rather than correct the bartender, he gave me the beer. That's a win in my book because I got a free drink out of it but know your selection. Lastly, at the end of the night my card declined. That's on me for not having enough. So I asked her to split the hourly pool rate and the drinks. She then starts adding up all the drinks (which most likely vary in price) instead of just figuring out that the hourly rate for pool was $17/hour and we were there for 3 hours. So $17 x 3 = $51 and everything in excess was obviously the drinks. Again, her entire attitude was off like she couldn't be bothered for anything or that we were annoying her. This is the vibe I got from her all night. Trust me, if I could serve my own beer I would have instead of dealing with your ass. At the end of the night, I paid my check with two cards and told her that she shouldn't be a stupid bitch. And she tells me she's the owner. If I'm in the wrong there, so be it. But I'm not coming back here with the subpar service. The beer selection is cool, I love the jukebox, and playing pool with friends. I just don't need some snob serving me. Go be a bitch to someone else. I came to have a good time. read more

I went on a week day and it was pretty empty but started filling up as it got later. The bartenders were very nice and attentive, they let me and my girlfriend sample a few beers till we found the ones we liked. . . Which was Very Nice! We played a few games of darts and left. The vibe was chill, I wish it was a little more hyped and the music was a bit louder but then again it was a weekday. I'll have to visit again on the weekend and maybe It will be a 5 star place. I've been coming to this place for about 20 years. Enjoyed the fact that it was all ages. My sons are older now, so coming in for a quick few games at 8pm has been no big deal. Not tonight, door man gives me a hard time and demands my ID to going and ask the bartender if it's okay to bring my sons. I'm 53, gray haired. Like WTF. He said he needed it to make sure it wasn't expired. What the hell does that have to do with me being clearly WAY over 20 years of age? On top of that he's wearing a MAGA cap. I don't really care about that. I'm not politically motivated, but keep that at home and your own time. What happened Dean, this used to be a nice family friendly place. Pool players beware. This place is great during the day but when it gets dark, pool players watch out. I've been to a million billiard halls like this. Every single one has a line for players picking up and returning balls. This place does not. If it's busy and you want to return the balls, which you're paying for by the hour, they will make you wait in the long drink line adding time to your table. I waited for 20+ minutes to return the balls. I didn't think much of it because in rare circumstances when this happens at other pool halls the servers are really cool and take off some time for the wait but not this place. I asked and the server straight up said "nope, you're paying while you're in line." This was crazy. She blamed it on low staff but in my mind I'm like doesn't that justify helping us out? So many other people were upset as well. This place needs two lines or at least make returning balls a priority. To make it worse!!! Because of the attitude the server gave me this is the first time in my life I've given zero tip. She gave no f*** that all the customers had to wait and I was over charged. In fact the women in-front of me was so angry because her tab went beyond what she brought to the bar because of the wait times. She had her friend go to atm to get more money while it racked up. Here is the crazy part. When I told her no tip, she asked me if I wanted my ID back. Obviously I said yes. She takes my ID and stares at it for a strong 10 seconds, while everyone is in line, and looks at me and says "hmm looks like we are neighbors" with a nasty grin... To me that sounds like a strong threat. This lady memorized my address and acted like "now I know where you live.".... So this review is proof that if anything happens to my house or family, it's on record that this establishment made the threat. Beware people. read more

I'm a sucker for a dive bar, especially if it has billiards and a great selection of ice cold beer. The beer selection is exhaustive and they've got a great variety. It's not too expensive and the pool tables are in great shape. You can go off to a corner and enjoy a date or other forms of company and feel like you've got the place to yourself or you can make friends at adjacent tables and proceed to have a great night. "Krystal with a K" is a great bartender and I always enjoy chatting her up. I'm not exactly a local, but i never mind making the drive to come here for a great night. read more

This place is good for going to play some billiards with friends and to hang out. If you are hungry the food here is pretty good as well but definitely overpriced a bit so I'd recommend not coming here hungry. The bartenders are great and always kind. The place is very cleanly kept and often sanitized as well. It will often smell of cigarettes but that's to be expected from a bar so be aware of that if you really dislike that smell. Came here with my coworkers on st Patrick's day for the first time. I love that the place was spacious and the staff were all great! I love the vibe and there was a lot of pool tables . Even though the place had a lot of people it was not hard to find seating. I was impress by how good the food was! Best buffalo wings with the perfect amount of crispy, sauce, and juicy! The veggie pizza was THE best I've ever had. Food came out hot and fresh ! I'm not a big beer person but was recommend a strawberry cider that was sooooooo bombbbb . Jessica helped me and she is honestly the best!!! I will definitely come back here and next time bring my bf so he can experience what I did ! So happy my coworkers took me here :) read more
