As a student new to the Boston area, I found myself in need of a moped in order to reliably get to and from my jobs. I looked at a few other dealerships before this but chose Parkway because of their large inventory of reasonably priced used options. However, even though I eventually settled on a new Honda, the GM was flexible regarding the price and we eventually settled on an agreeable price. All throughout the purchase, Nicky as well as the other staff were very helpful in evaluating options, especially given the adverse conditions surrounding the purchase. Most of these issues were due to my age and unexpected registry issues out of their control. I am grateful that the staff was able to inform me on the best courses of action in addition to being very accommodating. So, if you are looking for a dealership in the Boston area that are patient with their customers and avoids your typical pushy sales tactics, then Parkway Cycle is the way to go. read more

went there over the weekend to look at scooters. We were there about 5 minutes when homeboy Chris pounced on us. Very pleasant guy (said he had 5 kids) but got 3 phone calls while we were chatting (mind you - I was going to BUY today ) and I hear repeatedly 'Yo man, Im working here yo - Ill hook up with you later'- I mean you HAVE to answer your phone during a potential sale? AND sound like PDiddy?lol He was pushy. Told me I looked silly on one of the other scooters I liked because 'I was big' (Im 5ft 4) - huh?! I felt railroaded. Chris kept pushing the Yamaha c3 scooter for me- I wasnt feeling it- it wasnt pretty- Didnt like the color (red) and there wasnt any style.I couldnt put my finger on it at the time but he kept askinf if I wanted to 'wrap this up'. When I wanted to check if the scooter could hold two people ( hey you never know I might need to pick up my son sometime with it) he told my son ' If I saw you riding on the back of this with your mom, you would look like a fool, yo' NOT the way to make a sale dude.Your tone and attitiude might work with the under 30 crowd but 'yo' chill out a bit. A few expletives too- were you trying to get 'on my level' lol? Took his card and decided to visit GBM in Arlington and bought a scooter there the next day.Same company you know.... I have a 2004 Honda. looks as new as the day I bought it. only has 26k very lightly used. I took it for a spin and notice some knocking that I hadn't heard before. so I took it down to parkway. I told the guy why I was there, he asked how old the bike was. I said 2004, he said " old bikes make noises " but not in a comical way, came across as ( you woke me up for this) I understand that but it only has 26K, The engine is barely broken in. would you come listen to it or take it for a spin. he said I heard it when you pulled up...... ????? SO IS THAT A NO. He begrudgingly came out fired up the bike for all of 10 seconds. sounds like a Honda to me. I put on my helmet and left. ok so you don't want my business fine, you won't get it. and hopefully this will reach others to let them know, that their business is not welcomed there and to save the trip. read more

I hate to write this, because most of the employees probably don't deserve it, however. since the beginning of 2021 I have called MANY times only to get the all to familiar automated BS. I have written MANY emails. not once has anyone got back to me I called the repair department, service dept. even sales. in hopes that someone would assist (A PAYING CUSTOMER ) all I get is Automated BS. not one of my request for assistance was answered. I guess business is booming and they don't want or need new customers. perhaps they are in over their heads and can't keep up....or maybe They don't care... or are incompliant. what ever the reason , is that the kind of business you want to trust your bike and or life with???????? read more

I live close by and often need last minute parts or service, and have called or been in the dealership over 10 times in the past 3 months. Each time I have been treated respectfully, and the staff have done a great job helping me ID the random obscure part I need, or special ordering something that's not in stock. I needed tires mounted in a rush and they were able to take care of me right on the spot. I have no had experience with the sales team, but all of my other interactions here have been positive ones. Call yesterday asked for an oil change, they say no problem come on in, I come in, can't do it today. These guys are about nothing but money. I bought my Ruckus here and got the maintenance agreement, but never time to help or do anything for your scoot. No service, no loyalty, no love or respect for their customers. ** update, yup the chain was too loose, Rode it to get gas and the chain came off, wheel locked up, and I was hit by oncoming traffic and had to be ambulanced to the hospital with broken bones, Thanks parkway!*** usually don't leave reviews hence this being my girlfriends account but this place took such advantage of me as a new and inexperienced rider it's something I have to make known, Stay away from this place, went there for tires (399 for knobby's) and got my bike back with the chain so loose it could come all the way off the sprocket, I could have died. I bought my first bike from Parkway Motorcycle and it was a great experience. I also bot all my gears from there and I got all the help I needed in addition to a good price. I did my research and I even went to a different dealer to identify the Bike I wanted, I decided I want the Honda Rebel 500 ABS which wasn't available in almost every close by dealer. Some other dealership even tried to sell me the non ABS model but I said No. I then received an email from Rick Lopez at Parkway Circle, he was able to give a very good deal (price for the bike and a first time customer package), and he was able to match the best offer I have, the offer I got from Parkway Cycle was the best if I count the package that came with it. Rick was clear and honest during the sale process, and he was able to find me the bike I want in a different state and went and get for me. Delivery of the bike was extremely quick: I decided to go register the bike myself, and when I came back with the registration and plates, I got my bike ready in an hour maximum. Every time I visited the dealership I stopped by the store to get more information about the items they offer and what I should get, the staff were very patient and explained to me everything I needed to know; I really appreciate that they didn't push me to buy the most expensive things just to get their commission, instead they explained the details and the differences and it was really up to me to decide on what I want to buy. I had to visit the dealership multiple times (just because I wanted to) and everyone who works there was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this dealership, and I know it will be the first place I will go to if I need a new bike :) read more

I wasn't going to write until they just screwed over my friend. They say they have this really good deal to get you riding: buy an entry level bike, attend their riding class, get your license, drive for a year, then when you are ready to move up to a bigger bike you can trade it back in within that year for 90% of what you paid put toward the next bike.  But wouldn't you want to take the motorcycle safety class first and pass it before putting down a chunk of change on any bike?  The MSF class I took only 2 of 5 people passed it.  When I asked about when do we negotiate on the price of the second bike, now or in a year, I was told there is no negotiating, you pay list price plus all the fees.  Wha? No price negotiating on a $10,000 purchase?  No other dealer does this cause it's a come on.   I went elsewhere. Now a friend of mine just bought a used scooter from them. As soon as he got on the street he saw that the speedometer wasn't working. He turned around and went right back to the shop where he was told that he would have to pay to fix it! You advertised a used bike with 3000 miles but if the odometer wasn't working then you lied about the mileage and were too crooked even to fix the problem. A new speedometer cable? $6.00! Even I could fix it for him in front of my house. My friend works at Hubspot. So all you unmechanical tech guys with higher ethics, this place is probably not for you. read more

STAY AWAY! Cannibals! My experience was so poor, it borders on criminal! I had Parkway winterize my bike for me a few years ago and it worked out fine. Then the bike sat for a few years and I sent it back to get 'road ready'. When I brought it in, I was promised the moon, but like many others, when I called to get answers, it was hard to get through. After calling all winter, I finally had to show up to talk to someone and asked to see the manager who took my bike in. He had been fired and no one knew what was up with my bike! Then they told me that replacement front end brakes for my bike were hard to find. What? I didn't need front end brakes! Oh yes I did, because now my bike doesn't have them! I immediately had them tow my bike to a small motorcycle shop that I trust and found out my back seat was missing too! In short, they took parts from my bike to satisfy other orders leaving me with a big bill to replace these hard to find parts (1986 Shadow). Stay the freak away because they are quick to screw you because some other fool is walking in the door right behind you and they don't need loyalty. I concur that the service is TERRIBLE. There is many employees that are working there but they pay no attention to customers. I was laughing at how ridiculous it was, seemed like an inside joke or something to avoid customers. Its not like I was just browsing and wandering around, I was standing near sales people looking at them not wanting to interrupt their conversation about the fat chick one of them hooked up with in Revere last night. They didn't even look up or acknowledge my existence, an awkward amount of time passed before they offered to help. I did finally get the attention of one guy who seemed to know what was up and got me what I wanted and out the door. I really felt unwelcome and like I was asking too much for them to assist me. I haven't had my bike serviced there and prob. won't. There is a $55 a day storage fee too so beware. On a side note, park your bike in the far part of the lot or when you come outside people will be checking it out and sitting on it! read more

Im a bit surpised by the reviews here.... not quite certain what people are expecting. This is a motorcycle shop - its not Nordstrom or The Apple Store. Going in with that frame of mind, I came out perfectly satisfied. Sales, financing and parts staff were all very approachable and friendly. Going in as a first time motorcycle rider and complete newbie, I was worried I would feel out of place - but they instantly adapted and treated me respectfully nonetheless. They are a high volume dealer, so as expected, I needed to initiate some follow-up thru the sales process occasionally, but again - I expected this. I've been to their other shops as well (in Arlington and Beverly) and found the staff at these locations equally good. The staff for the safety/driving school in Beverly is especially great! read more

So let me start by saying this was my time purchasing a bike, and Parkway Cycle took great care of me! I had the great fortune to have Frank as my salesman. He explained the bikes to me, made sure I was comfortable with what I was getting, understood what I was getting myself into, and helped me secure a price that I was happy to pay for my ZX636. If I ever have questions in the future he will be the first person I call and that is not a relationship I expected to have with a salesman. Since my bike was used, Parkway discovered a couple parts that needed to be replaced in order to pass inspection. While this process took a little longer than I would've liked (~2 weeks), Frank was in constant contact with me, letting me know constantly (literally almost everyday) where the parts were and when I could expect the work to be done. He saw how excited I was, and walked my through the entire process up to the point where I had the bike dropped off at my house. I could not be happier with the customer service I received. It is unfortunate that others had such tough times, because my experience was great. I also bought some merchandise through Gus in parts, and he provided incredible service as well. He made sure everything fit perfectly (even my helmet that I purchased somewhere else) and gave me the best prices I could find anywhere. So far I have purchased gloves, jacket, and back protector through Parkway and I'm sure I'll be back soon! I cannot speak to getting repairs as I mostly dealt with sales staff, but my experience was incredible and I highly recommend Parkway. The motorcycle dealer experience depends highly on your specific sales person or mechanic. As i was considering purchasing my first bike, I was handled by Daniel Davis at Parkway who was excellent. He showed me various bikes and explained the pros/cons or each and let me sit on each one. I ultimately ended up buying my bike at Greater Boston Motorsports in Arlington because it was only one block from my apartment and it was simply more convenient. However, for my next bike, I will buy from Daniel who is much more worthy of my business. read more

This is based on my experience in the accessories department. I came in earlier this week to buy a helmet to start riding with. Before I came in I was worried that I would be pressured into buying a more expensive helmet that I was comfortable with because of the wide range of pricing options available on helmets. The women I worked with (Cindy I think her name was) spent the better part of an hour walking me through the different brands available and was very patient trying on a number of different sizes from different manufacturers. When the time came to pull the trigger, the decision was completely left up to me. After picking out a helmet, I told her I wanted to browse some jackets. She pointed me to some clearance items they had and left me to look on my own. Wonderfully low pressure sales environment, and a great experience overall and I'll definitely be back again. read more

I was a newcomer to the motorcycle scene on my first visit here. I had just bought a bike the week prior and needed to get an inspection and some bits and pieces mended. I actually visited 2 other shops (that will remain nameless) closer to my home, both of which I felt a little off-put by. No cheerful faces, no "Hey guy!" just lacksadasical employees and even a scoff that I wasn't riding a 2015-model sportbike. I was beginning to wonder if motorcycle shops were as bad as car dealerships. The second I rolled up to Parkway, I felt better. A man in the doorway said "Heeeeyy brother!" when I pulled into the parking lot, and I knew this was the place. Everyone I encountered was attentive, friendly, and helpful. They congratulated me on my purchase, swapped stories, offered advice, and found the perfect part that I needed. My inspection was quick and painless, and the mechanic offered advice on what to expect from the bike. I rolled away feeling relieved and relaxed, and I will definitely be back. Thanks to Bob, Jim, and Ken! Here's a saying for you: "If you run into a Jerk at 10am, you ran into a jerk. If you run into Jerks all day, maybe YOU'RE the Jerk." Take that into account when reading yelp reviews. I brought my bike in for some simple electrical work. They were quick, thorough and creative in coming up with a solution for my rear indicators that didnt meet MA regulations. I would say things are slightly expensive there, but its a dealership so that's how it goes. After having a bad experience elsewhere with customer service I would say these guys are pretty much on top of their game. read more

Frank was my salesman. He made the experience great and was very strait forward and honest. I love my bike and my friends and family as well as myself will do business with him again. My only concern was the finance manager as he was smug and spent a week working on a private loan, which was better for him, instead of a factory loan which was better for me. As a new rider, Frank took the time to deliver my bike to my home, which the roads are more familiar to me. That was above and beyond my expectations and made him my motorcycle salesman for life. This place is the worst motorcycle shop I have ever been too!! The service here is so bad I don't know where to begin. If you want to even attempt to speak to someone don't bother calling because no one picks up the phone. I called over 8 times without an answer and if you speak to the receptionist don't bother leaving a message because that's a lie that they will not call you back. OK, So if you decide to actually drive to them to actually speak to someone this is another adventure on itself. I went in at 9:45AM on a weekday "Friday" and it took 45 minutes for someone to even notice me. WTF are the service guys doing is beyond me? Then they must have the most computer illiterate guys working behind a desk in history. No lie took the guy 15 minutes to type my info. Once this all done i finally told the guy I wanted a tune up "carbs cleaned, oil change, etc' which was estimated at $469.00 which I thought was a little high but I'll live. 3 days pass without a call or anything. So I had to drive in because once again couldn't get through on the phone and had to wait another 30 mins in the service room to get noticed just to find out what they said was going to be a $469.00 job is now $1,580.00. I almost puked.. Here is the most disturbing part. I have to rewind a couple days.. To get my bike there I needed a battery. It was 130 dollars thorough them went across the street to PEP boys and it was $50 dollars. You do the math. Brought the battery back and gave it Don to trickle charge it overnight. OK, now back too where I almost puked. So I looked on the recommended fixes and I saw a battery on the list for $130.00. When I confronted the guy that there was a brand new battery on the bike and he was the one that charged it he didn't know what to say. He started talking to the mechanic and going back and forth to then find out that " Oh the battery is fine" No Shit I said it's brand new. Obviously the mechanics are trained to lie. This place has no integrity, the quality is horrible and I would never will never go back. It's a complete scam. So long story short I told them I'll get a second appraisal. read more

I practically knocked one of the guys out there. came in several years ago just to get an oil change and inspection. called me and told me battery was junk, (mind you I had just bought the battery recently, they swapped out my good battery for a junk one. Lets say it didn't end well if it wasnt for a friend who worked there and got the battery swapped out again for me behind the scenes, I would have probably had an assault on my record. it wa s the way they treat you like you are an idiot and when you challenge or even ask, they act as if they are high and mighty. that place has always screwed with people but I didn't think just going in for an inspection and oil change I was going to have such a problem read more

Last year my friend bought a bike there and i rode it home for him because he's a new rider, as soon as it got home i shut it off and the bike wouldn't start again junked battery. This year i went to go buy a new helmet from them, everything went great till i came home and unboxed it. There was a deep scratch in the back of the helmet so i went to return it 2 days later they refused to refund or swap helmets. One of the employees insisted that i dropped the helmet.. Anyways long story short i will never deal with these people ever again.. If you do buy from them check your gear from top to bottom!! I went here looking to find out a bit more about the larger (125cc) scooters. My wife has a 50cc and I was wondering if I should go with that or go bigger. I had no intention to buy this day, and I told them that up front. It was like dealing with a used car dealer. The guy knew almost nothing about scooters- told us that one were looking at was extra special because it had a center stand (nearly every scooter has a center stand!), and when I asked him a question, he told us that we probably knew more about scooters than he did. He tried talking me into buying a used scooter that had just come in, and then came back to say that it had been sold, but he had THIS one, and wow, what a steal. Bait-and-switch, anyone? I still had no intention to buy, but was curious about what financing options they had available. We waited 20 minutes while they ran my credit, and then he did that thing where they go talk to their sales manager, then come back several times. The first time, he came back and said "I can give it to you for $2000, but that's not nearly as low as I can go. You know what I mean?" I told him that no, I didn't know what he meant. I said that I wasn't interested in negotiating, I was just looking to find out about financing, and how much the scooter would be. He went back to talk to his sales manager, and then brought out another deal. We said we were leaving and he brought out his sales manager, who was another smarmy used car salesman. This place did one thing very very well. It made me realize how phenomenal the customer service was at Scooters Go Green, in Boston. Worlds better! They actually ride scooters themselves there! Between it taking almost a month to get my bike out of winter storage, and picking it up dirty to hide the scratches that they put on it, and the poor customer service not telling me what was going on, I have to give them a 2 star. I'm a bit disappointed at the reviews I found on this place. My husband and I stopped by this place on the way home and were quite excited about the prices. I didnt wait for help but had to ask someone for assistance, the sales person was a bit friendly but not really interested in helping. When I kept asking questions and he saw that I was leaning towards to buying a bike, then we caught his attention and he was willing to assist us. I noticed the bikes that we were looking at, had rusty chains and scratches, he had told us it will go through maintenance once we bought it , however, my question is, why not get it fixed up first and make it look presentable to buy. Through my curiousity before getting too excited, I decided to do some research and read reviews. The one or two reviews with 4+ stars you know were written by employees who worked there and the rest as consumers with bad experiences gave it VERY low stars. I was going to buy our bikes there, which would have been three for my daughter, husband and myself, but now it will be none. We willl definitely go elsewhere due to the reviews being low for the past year. If there is a new management team, apparently they need more training because there are many unsatisifed customers! read more

BRADFORD HUNTER! BRADFORD HUNTER! BRADFORD HUNTER! Let me just get THAT off my chest! Ever since traveling to Italy, I have been obsessed with buying a scooter; preferably a Vespa. Having done some research into what would be right for me (nothing too fast, 35 mph, something to scoot around Boston, park on sidewalks, no license plate necessary, 50cc), I soon realized between my paying bills and student loans, my dream Vespa would be out of my immediate price range, unless I was willing to buy one used or purchase a different brand - new. Fast forward to last July when I was laid off my job. I received a nice sum in my severance package and didn't hesitate to re-invest that money in my own joy. I immediately cashed the check and made my way over to Parkway Cycles. Luckily, I hadn't read the reviews here, and I have a strong aversion to sales people so that might have stopped me from going there, but it was in my neighborhood and an easy commutable distance so off I went! Long story short - my scooter is a DREAM come true! I purchased a KYMCO (rose color). I received a walk through of necessary accessories (helmets, gloves, jackets, etc) and a discount for purchasing so much at once. Parkway Cycles even supplied me (and my new scooter) with a ride to the RMV and I get infrequent calls for maintenance checks. The service was fast, friendly and informative. As it has been a warn winter, I have been riding my new KYMCO without incident - I even picked up the Chinese food Christmas Eve! My scooter gave me the freedom I have been dreaming of - I am no longer a slave to the MBTA and I can run errands around town or meet up with friends at a moment's notice. I especially LOVE cutting in and out of traffic as well! They have a lot of other great toys at Parkway - four wheelers, jet boats, snow mobiles! I run with a rough and tumble crowd and I was glad to share with them the service, professionalism and courtesy Brad has shown me. If you are tired of mucking around in a sea of shady characters and pushy salesmen, just go to Parkway and ask for "Brad," he is very polished and knows his stuff. These guys are fantastic. I saw a bike on their used listings online that I had to check out. I called, left a message, and Jim got back to me the very next day. We scheduled an appointment for the following tuesday and TWO DAYS later I was riding off on my new bike. Both Jim and Rick were extremely professional, polite and friendly. They helped me navigate a trade in, changing banks for financing, insurance, and registration/inspection in a blindingly fast period of time. With the winter months approaching, and being confined to a wheelchair, I wanted to get ready for the snow. I had a family member check my year old snow blower to make sure it was operating correctly, and after trying to start it, he had no luck. So someone suggested to call Parkway Cycle. So glad I took their advice and called, I spoke to Steve, who was very helpful and after hearing about my handicap, he had his driver pick up my snow blower the same day. I can't say enough good things about Parkway from Steve to the driver. When the driver brought the snow blower back, he was very accommodating, and went thru all the steps when putting the blower away for the Summer. I would never hesitate to call them again or recommend them to my family and friends. I was very satisfied with their phone educate and their service. read more

I used to recommend this dealership because the shop has very good mechanics. I have two large displacement Honda sportbikes and bring them here for the service I cannot do myself. In the past I had been very satisfied with the work they did on my big Hondas (Blackbird, Rune and '08 liter bike). But my last experiences just turned me off. Poor communication, service desk lies, inconvenience and excessive charges. Remember that Parkway is under the same ownership as the bandits at 128 Cycles and Greater Boston Motorsports (and they own another shop or two). GBM suckered me and reneged on a promise to refund a warranty if I did not use it within the year. Timely requested a refund and got a "no". Parkway cycle is a joke first of all. About 5 months ago I bought a 2004 harley softail standard. I will say I got a great price after I notice they tried to up the price about 1500 dollars from the price they had listed online (thank the Lord for my awesome wife that saw that). It's been about 5 or 6 months not even threw the riding season and my battery junks out on me. I call and say listen the battery's junk and I need a new one. They tell me sorry the only cover things like that for 30 days, with in 6 months a lot can happen. OK fine I'll accept that, so I ask can you take the price out of my P.C.M. (preventive maintenance plane), they say sure but you have to get the bike to us and we can't pick it up because my driver is on vaca. So apparently they only have one driver to pick up the dead bikes out there. I said that was out of the question and I just need the battery, I am not going to bring my bike there for you to remove to screws and drop a battery in, not happening. They said try charging it on a trickle charger. I said ok I'll try that. So the next day I take the battery out AND ITS 4 YEARS OLD. I paid a lot of money for this bike and they didn't think to say hey the battery is holding a charge but it is 4 years old, let's just put a new one in. So I called back got into an argument where they try to talk circles around you, also saying that they cant cover the battery under the P.C.M who ever said that was wrong, and just said screw you guys I don't want nothing to do with your company from this point and went across the street to harley. So to end this. They just suck everything from customer service to parts. They should be locked up and there bissness closed down. I mean come on its a 100 dollar battery. You do something good that person tells 5 others. You do something bad they tell 30. I would never recommend them. read more
