I've been here a few times since it was close to where I use to live. I got my nails done here for my wedding; some of my bridesmaids go there's done too. I just got a french manicure; no tips or anything like that. They did an ok. job. I also got my first brazilian wax there!!! Yes, it did hurt! haha. it was quick and cheap. I came back a few times again. I brought my cousin for her first waxing. I could hear her screaming!!! and everyone else could hear her. HOw embarrassing!!! LMAO. They barely took anything off of her since she was screaming. I would go back, but its not the pampering soft music type of place. It's a quick fix for cheap. Brazilian wax was $25 I believe. I went im to have my nails done near closing and was pleased with the nails. The lady did an awesome job. I decided to get eyelash extensions and i wanted long eyelashes but instead i ended up paying money for eyelashes that were not all placed on correctly. There were gaps of missing lashes and the lady cut them short to her liking although i wanted long lashes. I had a rough time trying to see afterwards when she was done due to the solution she put on at the end so i gave her a 50 instead of a 20. In the bills i paid with as my total was 135. I gave her 150 i thought but when i got to my car i realized i had given her a 50 instead in one of them 20s. She of course rushed to get me out and didn't say a word nor did she try and give it back. I ended up paying a lot on a job i was not satisfied at all with.. I cannot believe this as ive been robbed twice on these extension jobs which cost 80 to 85 dollars this job even much more . They could have just been honest or at least given me what i wanted. Me and my friend made an appointment for the morning for a manicure and pedicure, it was any first time and it was amazing !!! The paraffin wax was so good. The ladies are great and did an amazing job. The nail polish was so good and did not chip for weeks. They even gave me a pair of disposable flip flops so that my pedicure would Not get ruined. I have been here 2 times in the last 5 years and will never return again! My last visit was on thursday I went in to get a pedicure and my hands painted only. I was going somewhere important to me on saturday and needed to have my nails painted for this occasion. I am so EMBARRESSED.. nail polish is chipping off and not little dainty pieces its chipping off like huge sections and pieces. I also got my eyebrows waxed and upper lip waxed. My eye brows DONT MATCH and I have a cold sore or open scab where I was waxed near my mouth. Not worth the 51 dollars!!! read more

Bad service period. I had went for a gel pedi. I asked for a design at first and they agreed they could do it. They then switched me to a different lady and she said they could not do the design and to come next time to get it done. She had an attitude the whole time while doing my nails and then made another lady do a design that was nowhere near what I wanted. I have been going to this shop for almost two decades and I can tell you they are the BEST!! It is a family store with little to no turn over in staff and the women are very friendly and warm. As the shop has grown more and more auxiliary services have been added including facials, massage, and full service waxing. Now i go in for three generation pedicures and I consider Tammy, Rose, Lisa, Snow and everyone there family. The only challenge can be getting in sometimes because they are so well loved!!! I took it like a champ and Tammy even said I was a brave girl for going bare down there the first time around. I agree with the others that she's quick. I was in there for about 15 mins. I think someone mentioned that the price was $25? It's now $30, but still a deal. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 is I haven't been going to Paris Nails long enough to know whether it is 5 star worthy. read more

This Nail Salon is under new ownership since late summer, 2005. I can not say enough about it or the girls who work there! It's CLEAN!!!!! And they're all very polite and personable. I have been going to the girl who bought the shop for over 5 years now and I've never once had a problem either at her shop or the one she used to work for. I've never gotten any kind of an infection. I've never even had a little itch. And even since going to her new shop, I've never once seen little hairs or soap scum anywhere. I'd be surprised if they didn't try to sell other services to their customers. They're in business! I I've never seen a Vietnamese Anything on the TV and certainly not a soap opera. And of course they talk Vietnamese to each other. This is admittedly something that a lot of english speaking women are bothered by. But that's their first language! So, get over it! read more

This place is a joke. The only service I had was to remove my acrylics and the lady cut me up TWICE. She definitely did not know how to remove them and didn't even take them up properly. Apologized insincerely and carried on chit chatting with other staff like nothing happened. Some of the other staff were taking naps on the couch in front of the customers. This is probably the worse nail salon ever that can't even do a basic service like remove acrylics. I can only imagine how much of a shitty paint job they would do. This salon doesn't even deserve to be open. I want to make sure I warn everyone out there to not even think about coming here. I decided to give it a try because it got great yelp reviews and it was close to work. I have never gotten a Brazilian wax before. I came to this salon with high hopes. I walked in...the salon wasn't very nice (not impressed one bit). Tammy was nice but this wax ended HORRIBLY. She was rough, SO rough that she tore the skin SO BAD and I started to bleed everywhere. Most people would let you know right away, but Tammy actually tried to play it off like it was nothing. She told me I would be fine in two days. It wasn't until I looked down and saw how deep this laceration was, that I got up right away and took myself to the Emergency Room. Tammy actually asked me if i wanter her to finish...it was horrifying. I left the Emergency Room today with 5 stitches. It was a HORRIBLE laceration of my skin. My doctor even said she had never seen anything like this and she was SHOCKED, she even commented that this must have been done so hard and "rushed". I am not only traumitized and humiliated but saddened that people like Tammy actually allow themselves to wax other women's private, sacred parts. I was seriously HURT and bleeding everywhere and Tammy had the audacity to tell me that I was fine and it would be gone in two days. If I would have listened to her, I could be in the hospital maybe dead with a horrible infection. I really do not ever complain, but if I could save one woman from having to go through what I did today by this post....then good. read more

The entire time the lady was talking shit about me saying how she messed up my nails and she was gonna lie to me about it. I went in to Paris Nails this past Wednesday for a 3 PM appointment with the owner Tammy and I must say that I'm always impressed with how clean and neat the salon is...within a couple of minutes my feet were soaking in a perfectly heated foot bath. Tammy was very busy and asked Snow to do my pedicure and I was very pleasantly surprised with how gentle she was with my big man feet...lol! The Deluxe Pedicure is very reasonably priced and my feet look and feel fantastic...just in time to start wearing sandals for summer...I'm so glad that I found a place to get a pedicure where everyone is friendly and it's so much cleaner than the terrible place I used to go to on Bascom Avenue (see review) Thank you Paris Nails and especially Snow...You did a great job! read more

While waiting for a friend for a dinner next door, I decided to get a quick spa pedicure. Usually, spa pedis don't last very long, but this place took its time, despite other customers waiting. The person working on my toes was careful, though my big toe bled a little (don't take this as a negative, it always does because when I was little, I used to pick at it in the corner and would always have to go to the doctor for ingrowns; nasty huh?). Anyhow, to clean it, the lady put iodine on it and alcohol twice. Nice. Plus, she was really apologetic. Well, I also ended up getting a hot stone massage with the spa pedicure, so total was $20 base for the spa pedicure with hot stone massage, taking me a little over half an hour. As a Vietnamese salon, I think it is better than most. The interior decor matches the title of the shop, Paris. They offer OPI nail polish (yay!), and do take plastic. However, the massage chairs could use some cleaning, but I really liked the back kneading. The television should have been on for customers getting their pedi, but oh well. And of course, their tools could use better sanitizing, but really, I have no complaints--I go around everywhere wearing sandals. & They need to post their prices up. I would be back if in the area...despite me fudging my toes up (I've never had a pedicure I somehow didn't mess up, so I usually go to cheaper places that charge $15). read more

I've been going to Tammy for over 10 years. Her whole staff is amazing, attentive and pays attention to detail. I've recently started getting the gel manicures and they last about 2 weeks depending on the color (a lighter color isn't as noticeable when your nails start to grow)- and I LOVE them. I've also had Tammy wax me for the past few years. It's no big deal now, but when I first started I was nervous and she was so sweet and made me feel super comfortable. Love this place! read more

I have been seeing Tami every month since 2007 for my wax and always get a pedicure while I'm there! Tami is fast, efficient, and so friendly! No matter who does my pedi- I'm always please with the attention to detail and comfort! The new pedi chairs are phenomenal too!!!! Super super bad service, and they usually lied and broke on their promises. l think everyone knows French nail breaks easier even if you added the top care. The women told me welcome to fix your French nail every time if it breaks. But when I came there to fix, the women gave her customer a big SIGH and COMPLAINed at me. What the hell is that? i do not like to be negative in any way...ever...but enough is enough. I have given this place 3 chances..no more. I come here to get my eyebrows waxed, because it is right down the street from my job. Its really inexpensive $7 , but unfortunately here, you get what you pay for. How hard is it to understand i just want them cleaned up?? I let them know i am growing them out from the last time they messed them up, and when shes done, shes like.."ya, you color them in".... ugh..never again. Might not be the fanciest place, but it's a nice Vietnamese nail salon.. where I get my Brazilian wax. It's cheap. The prices are now $35, a lot better than most other places, who charge at least $50. It gets the job done. It's fast. It's never a painless process no matter how much you pay, so I definitely recommend Tammy. read more

So I am pretty picky when it comes to getting my nails and toes done and I hardly ever like a place enough to go back twice. I've now had my gel nails done by Tiffany twice and Rose did my pedi. I'm very impressed. They are both so detailed in their work that I can actually go home and not have to touch up paint or filling. And my nails lasted for 4 weeks and still looked great. The only reason I had to get them done again is because they had grown out too far. The prices are reasonable and the salon is cute and clean. I also paid a little extra for the parafin and scrub with my pedi and it was worth every penny. With summer just starting I went in there with my feet looking a hot mess and they looked great and felt super soft when I left. read more

I have tried a number of nail salons in the greater San Jose area (and in a number of other cities during work travels) and despite moving away from the area, I still come here for pedicures. They are the more efficient at softening my feet, give excellent leg massages, and the paint job lasts forever. The massage chairs always work and my feet and pocketbook always leave satisfied. So their scheduling is not always the best, but the customer service is wonderful here, also I get my nails done on a regular basis and have tired Diamond nails down the street. I've been coming to Paris Nails for pedicures for over 10 years. Tammy and her team always do a nice job, and I always choose an OPI polish, so my pedi lasts a month. The shopping center is rundown, but Tammy has upgraded her shop through the years (paint, tile floors, new massage chairs), and she does look out for client safety (uses plastic tub liners, no foot peeler tools, disinfects the pedicure tubs, etc). This nail shop is basic (no fancy decor or customer perks), but the prices are low and the services good. read more

I am only giving this place A1 because I have been coming here for years Tiffany is my nail tech and by far the best to me and that shop. I called today to try to make an appointment with Tiffany and was told that she would not be back for two to three months which was okay so I asked the owner Tammy if I can make an appointment with someone else and she told me that the girls and that shop did not want to do my nails because they did not want to make me unhappy and that they were scared LOL but every time I come in that shop everyone smiles and speaks and talks to me. I spent well enough money and definitely tip Tiffany $10 or more every time I leave there and if I get service that I do not like I am going to speak up. Tammy is the owner and for her to tell me that they are refusing service to me and Tammy is also refusing service is super unprofessional. I love Tiffany to death and I am going to truly miss her because I will never come back to that shop again after the way Tammy just treated me and I spent numero dollars in her shop. I am really taking back that Tammy would tell me something like that and I never knew after all these years that there was a problem and being that I am one of her regular customers she should have told me but I have never been rude or disrespectful to her staff. Other than that I love Tiffany and she is the best nail tech! Tammy you need to step your business skills up and learn how to be professional and be in charge. Paris Nails is always clean and the staff is courteous. Sometimes I would come right before the salon closes, and one of the ladies would stay late to do my nails. Tammy the owner is so sweet and always willing to do whatever you request. If Tammy isn't available then I see Tiffany who is also great. I went for a mani-pedi with my sister last weekend. We had been hearing a lot about gel nail polish, so we inquired about it at the salon. They said they had the polish and it would last two weeks without chipping. So we decided to give it a try on our fingers, the toes we went traditional. Well, my 'gel' manicure lasted less than 24 hours without chipping, my sisters as well. It is one week later and my nails are a complete mess! As a result of this major let down, I did some Internet research on the subject. My conclusion is this place either does not know how to properly apply the nail polish, or completely lied about the product they were giving me. Probably the latter since I read the $5 foot scrub trick described in another review. But wait, that's not all! No hand massage came with my expensive manicure! And...my pedicure massage was way less than stellar. It lasted maybe 2 minutes and was a pathetic excuse for a massage. So why were we there for over two hours? I'm not really sure, because there were only 2 other customers and we each had a technician! To top it all off, I kept looking at my toes and thinking my big toenail looks a little crooked. So I told the technician. Her reply was, and I'm not making this up, " it's your toe that's crooked, not the nail." Ummm I've lived with my toe for 30 years, and never has my nail or toe ever appeared crooked before thank you very much. Anyway, false promises, rude snail-slow service, crap/absent massages, and lack of nail application knowledge equals one star. The only plus to this place, and really the only reason we ended up there, is that they're open Sundays. My suggestion, find another place that is open Sunday or wait until your next day off! read more
