When I went the store was packed, the line was out the door- to me that was a good sign. It was around noon. Unfortunately, the shelves were quite bare. I think I will never go there again because of the rude employee I saw for the first time today at around 1:55 pm. Despite me telling her multiple times that it was my turn, she insisted on pushing the lady behind me forward and telling me it was her turn. Paris Baguette is good, but could be better. I think I had higher expectations for this bakery prior to it opening. First off, the bakery itself is a tiny space and can get really crowded. Along with the crowds, are the low stock on baked goods and not many options to choose from. I would recommend if you want to try Paris Baguette, to stop by on a weekday afternoon/early evening if you are able. If you are there at the right time and they have any Cronuts (croissant donut) in stock...get some! The Coffee Cronut is really yummy. The mochi donuts are ok, but a lot smaller than other mochi donuts I've tried. Another downfall are the prices. Prices are a bit more expensive here compared to at 85 Degrees, with Paris only having a fraction of options. The pastries overall here are not bad, but not the best. Instagram was wrong! The place is so tiny! If there are a few people there, everywhere you turn, you will bump into someone. There is outdoor seating, but it's too hot to sit outside! The pastries are ok. I got an almond croissant, lemon kronut, and sweet potato filled pastry. I really enjoyed the almond croissant. The coffee was not good. I got the caramel coconut iced latte which was a summer flavor. It was too strong and didn't have the caramel and coconut flavors. Was excited to come in and pick up some goodies to try as this place has been hyped up in so many groups lately. When you walk in, the shop is super cute, but what matters to me is the substance. I've tried two buns and a cake from here and in the words of Prue Leith, I just don't think they are "worth the calories." The peanut bun was so so dry. My kid picked it out and then refused to eat it. I tried to finish it for her, but the bread literally glued my mouth together. I will say I am pretty critical of baked goods, esp those that lean French, but I had lukewarm feelings about this place overall. The ambiance and staff are wonderfully friendly and accommodating as you see a deliciously variety of pastries, from sweet to savory. My all time favorite is the mochi donuts and blueberry chiffon cake! There is a difference in variety of pastries but I felt these were overly coated in crystal sugars making it overly sweet. The flavor wasn't there either. Not usual for an asian dessert shop imo. We went there around 7pm and there was a line to get into the store but don't worry the line moves pretty fast. Let's just say that we were supposed to only get 2-3 things but ended up with a tray filled with stuff. Same thing happened to the lady behind us LOL We tried everything! And everything is delicious! Not too sweet. The donuts were great (also have mochi ones), Cronuts were yummy, croissants were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and also gotta get the soft cheese cake! The food is immaculate, unmatched, creative flavor combinations, scrum-diddly-umptious. The vibe inside is pretty dope. When you first walk in your greeted with the wonderful smell of fresh bread and of course good music. straightahead there's a register and these big windows that peek into the kitchen. You can see the chefs, putting together all the bake goods and it gives it a nice feel to the place. it almost feels cozy despite not having anywhere to sit inside. Please take time to enjoy the sight of the place. It truly is a nice cozy bakery. Yes the line sometimes is pretty long but I don't think I have to explain to you why the line is long. Everybody and their mother is in here. Customer service is pretty good and I'll leave it at that. No issues no complaints. I have come here a few times and once before i saw the Chef holding the door open for people to come in and out he was literally greeting people at the door. Lots of varieties, from the mochi donuts to the croissant pastries and other baked goods (haven't tried their cakes yet). The workers keep the place clean and are always refilling the goods. I finally can stop at this place after waiting for a month or so for the hype to cool off. I highly recommend the sugar mochi donut if you don't like the sugary glaze like me, they sprinkled very light amount of sugar on top and it's not sweet at all. They do have pretty nice selection of all type of cakes, tarts, mochi donut, croissants, etc.....savory to sweet. I tried their iced matcha latte and it's overly sweet, I was waited for all the ice to melt down and it's still sweet, im not sure if you can adjust the sugar level or not. Lovely bakery. No real place to sit so it's a grab and go situation. Everything we had was great, including the coffee. However, the best thing was their donut. We visited on Boxing Day at 2 PM, so the area was pretty busy. The strawberry lemon cream croissant was my favorite. I picked the version that was in the refrigerator, so the cream was chilly when I ate it. The taste of flakey croissant, slightly tart yet sweet cream and tart strawberries was worth the $3.24. The bear pound cakes are super cute. I refrigerated them so the vanilla version tasted like a cute version of Sara Lee (moist, sweet and dense). The chocolate version had a pound cake chocolate cake flavor. The sweet potato pastry (twisted long croissant with generous smear of yellow sweet potato covered with a sugar glaze and sesame seeds) was flakey, crispy and pretty sweet. The smoked sausage bread (fluffy half-moon bread with sausage, white cheese shreds and ketchup) was cute and sweet. The bread was fluffy yet dense, while the sausage was like a hotdog. I didn't really care for the flavors or textures as it was too smooth for me. I wanted some crunchy texture to provide contrast. The chopped mango and cream brioche was plump and sweet. The brioche part was a little dry. The sesame tapioca bread is bigger but a little drier than the version at Tous les Jours. Overall, for the fresh items, I thought they seemed to excel in croissant items. The cashier strangely didn't recognize what a croissant was in the mix of items I had. read more
