We walked into a small, straightforward space where what stood out immediately was the variety of pastries and baked goods lined up throughout the counter. The setup felt more like a grab-and-go spot, but there were enough interesting items that it made sense to slow down and actually look through what they offered. The main draw here is the bread selection. We spotted items like milk bread, pineapple buns, mochi-based pastries, and savory breads such as pork floss buns, all of which felt freshly made and rotated quickly depending on the day. The milk bread in particular stood out for its soft texture and rich flavor, while the sweeter items leaned more subtle rather than overly sugary. It was the kind of place where we ended up picking a few different things because it was hard to settle on just one. There were also a few refrigerated and specialty items like tarts and filled pastries, which added a bit more variety beyond the standard bakery selection. Some items felt more premium than others, and pricing varied depending on what we picked, but the overall focus was clearly on soft breads and Asian-style baked goods rather than desserts or café-style sweets. The atmosphere was simple and functional since it was inside a supermarket food court area. It was not really designed for sitting and lingering, but the space was clean and organized enough to quickly browse and make a selection. Service was straightforward, and in some cases we were able to sample items before buying, which helped when deciding between different breads. Overall, Shokku Bakery is a solid stop if you are already in the area and want fresh Japanese-style baked goods. It is not a destination bakery in terms of ambiance, but the quality of the breads and variety of options make it worth visiting for a quick pick-up, especially if you enjoy soft milk bread and classic Asian bakery items.

I don't know if you can imagine my joy when I saw the Paris Baguette sign off the main road while heading to the resort. As a Bay Area foodie, that sight instantly made my day. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie. read more

One Star is way tooo much for this embarrassment of a coffee shop. The staff there displays much indifference as if we, the customer we're interrupting their social media time. Couldn't serve coffee only Americanos. Not buying it. Think they just didn't want to brew more coffee. When asked for a mocha latte was told they could not. When asked if they had flavorings was told that they had ........ and chocolate. I told them to add chocolate to an Americano and then it was a mocha. I got the distasteful look from the staff that they really didn't want to serve the customer. "Ok we will make it." That will be $$$$$. Wait, I am not done. I want two of these. Small and large. Order was made. Didn't taste like it had chocolate in it. When asked why they didn't put the chocolate flavor in it. I got the impression they thought I was so stupid I wouldn't notice. I also bought pastries. I got a tray from the stack and read the directions to put wax paper on it before selecting. None was found to be on the stand. I go to the same service person and asked for a sheet of wax paper. I was told that the trays were cleaned. But I asked again for a sheet of wax paper. Was told it was not for to go orders. I wasn't asking for it to be for a to go order. Was wondering again cause I was sitting right in front of them with my wife and two friends. Seemed that the service personnel just didn't want to serve me with what I wanted. They then glared at my wife and friends in a manor as if we were again wasting their time with our requests. BTW, the place was quite vacant as only three (including ours) of the tables had guests. We are sitting there trying to salvage this horrible experience when one of the service personnel started mopping the floor next to us. Coffee, pastry and the smell of dirt mop water. Oh yeah. Quite the experience. Skip this place. Sweet Hut or White Windmill is close by and always performs excellently. read more

I recently attempted to use a $10 gift card at your store, but it has not worked since the day I purchased it. I spoke with the store manager, who informed me that the card had no expiration date and advised me to wait a few days. Unfortunately, the issue was never resolved. There was also no indication in the app that the gift card would expire. I later contacted customer service and was told the card had expired after one month--and that nothing could be done. This experience has been both frustrating and disappointing, especially coming from a brand like Paris Baguette. I hope you will reconsider your position and provide a resolution read more

Ordered the walnut crepe ($12). Portion-wise it's on the smaller side, but the quality made up for it. Crepe itself was soft with slightly crisped edges giving a nice contrast in texture. The cream was the star -- thick with a perfectly salty-sweet balance that kept every bite interesting instead of one-note. The walnuts added a satisfying crunch that broke up the richness and gave the whole crepe more dimension. Ordering is done at a screen, and I noticed only a handful of crepes have photos. My guess is those are the ones they're promoting, but it would be nice if more options had pictures so you know what to expect. The walnut crepe I ordered did have a picture. After you finish, there's a bin by the door where you drop off your dish. Overall, this is a place that focuses on quality over quantity. The walnut crepe felt crafted with intention, and while you won't walk away stuffed, you will leave satisfied. For me, it's a solid 4 stars -- I'd come back if I was really craving a crepe, though it's not the kind of place I'd call my go-to.
