This is such a cute cafe in golden, I can't believe I had never heard of it before. These pastries are definitely expensive but worth the price and so delicious. The green one was my favorite, and the woman who owns the bakery is so nice and helpful. They sell such unique and yummy looking products as well.

For any of you pastry and patisserie lovers, this place is it. I was in search of a croissant-like pastry and left this place with 3 beautifully created, delicious desserts. One was a croissant style pastry with brownie and pistachio creme in it. Not too heavy, not too sweet, and a tasty combination that has never crossed my mind. The second was a chocolate and berry dessert called Carmen. It was decadent, fluffy, chocolate-y, and perfect. Loved every bite. I also got a Lola and loved the strawberry flavor. It was nice and fruity, once again, light, and perfect. 3 desserts was a lot, but it was worth the stomach space and calories. I would come here again in a heartbeat and recommend that you do too. Perfect to pick up for dessert on your date night or to just treat yourself to something amazing.

The most delightful spot in Golden! Tried 2 breakfast pastries and 4 desserts and each one was better than the last. The owner is so welcoming! The place is small so definitely reserve a time online. Highly highly recommend!

I have been looking for a modern French patisserie fit awhile that compares to my home town and I finally stumbled upon Parfait Co!Parfait Co. has far exceeded my favorite little bakery back home! These desserts are a little slice of Heaven. The flavors are multi dimensional and the textures are perfectly balanced.

We were looking for a fun birthday treat and the Parfait Co. was perfect! The pastries are the best we have had since visiting France. The owner/baker was very attentive and kind. There is no inside seating but it was a beautiful day so we sat outside in a little gazebo. Highly recommend!

Great food with beautiful presentation at reasonable prices. Each individual dish was phenomenal in its own right, and the owner was very helpful in recommending things to try. Highly recommend this place. Exceptional quality from a discreet place. This is absolutely worth the trip if you're in the Denver area.

Absolutely the BEST french dessert you can get here in Colorado. The desserts are absolutely stunning, the croissants are delicious, and there's many cool jams and teas to check out too! It's a bit hidden, but it's worth going across the state for. This is definitely worth a special day of going to and experiencing on its own. You can taste the love put into everything; the lady there is incredibly sweet and gladly described everything on display for me. Check out the detail and love put into this pain au Chocolat!

Should have taken the photo before we ate one but they are sooooo good!

This place is soooo cute! All pastries looked exceptional and we had hard time picking one! At last, I decided to try the myrtille and it was amazing! Fresh, full of flavor but not overwhelming! Extremely well balanced! I can't wait to be back to try more of the sweet creations!

    Lovely location

Beautiful food, lovely staff and fabulous outdoor seating with lots of flowers! Such a gem! I am so glad we found this spot. Brought my daughter for her birthday breakfast and we had such a wonderful experience. Tried at least 6 of the items (piggies!) and they were all delicious works of art. Well done!

Growing up in New Orleans, you get your fair share of quality patisseries. Now that I'm in Colorado, it's quite hard to find any kind of patisseries so of course I HAD to go to Parfait Co. Everything was less than $10 which is an amazing price for the quality of these desserts. My absolute favorite is the petit rose. The glaze is a beautiful raspberry flavor that is soft and creamy. The raspberry gelee on the inside gives a nice tart kick to counteract the sweetness of the glaze. Second favorite is le chocolat. If you are an intense chocolate lover like me, then you NEED to try le chocolat. It is dense but decadent. It's too good to share but I had to so others can experience this absolute heavenly piece. This place is so good that I had to drive out there again before New Year's Eve. The ladies here are the nicest people ever and if you don't give them a try then you are crazy!

Plenty of bicyclists visit. If you're going to buffalo bill's grave/museum, boettcher mansion, or anywhere else on lookout mountain, then this is a must-stop. Even if you're not hungry, spend some time here. It'll be worth it. The selection was not as enormous as some other places throughout Denver, but the items they make are absolutely delicious. I had a smoked cheese baked into a split bread, and it was so good. We also got a citron tart, an apple tart, and gorgeous. All satisfying. The coffee... I didn't expect it, but it is top-tier coffee. I ordered the americano, and it was bursting with complex flavors. It wasn't just chocolate or burnt or, god forbid, dirt. It was more than just a diner coffee. A real coffee nerd would appreciate this coffee. I should have asked where the beans were from. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got it from one of Denver's top roasters. What a treat. We'll be back for sure.

So refreshing to hear that authentic greeting since I worked in Paris, France. The place is big and airy, similar to a warehouse. Everything is made on-site the day of. I opted for the pomme de Tarte (Apple tarte) and the olive baguette, which is Amazing! They told me that the baguette dough takes a few days to rise and sit. So it takes three days to make it. It tastes chewy and a little hint of sourdough taste, so good! It brought me back to Paris! I'll be back to try coffee and other things on their menu. I also noticed they sell the famous tea du marriage frères. I think if they offered a light lunch menu like Niçoise salad or croque monsieur it would be nice.

My son had seen this place on a recent visit to the area and wanted to try it. Since I was in town,…read morehe picked me up at my hotel and we drove over to check it out one Friday morning. Note that the sign is on the outside of the building, and if you have online orders, you can (and should!) use the ourside pick-up window. If you're walking up, though, you need to enter the Edgewater Public Market (tip: the door to the left is the closest to the bakery if you're standing in front of the pick-up window and realize that you need to go inside) All of the pastries and breads looked very good, but both of us decided on a cinnamon roll. We both enjoyed the rolls at a table in the market across from the bakery. It is a very light cinnamon roll (think of laminated croissant-like dough) with just enough cinnamon and frosting. If you want a more "bread" cinnamon roll like at the famous chain shops, these are not the same. I'd imagine that these have half the calories as well (at least, I am telling myself that!) Frankly, I expect I would have been happy with anything, including the pastry with pickle slices on it. I hadn't had coffee yet, so I was not in a place to remember to take a picture (sorry!)... but it looked really nice and if the cinnamon roll wasn't practically YELLING my name, my natural inclination would have been to get the "weirdest thing" on the menu (according to my family's years of data). It is called "the pretty pickle" : house made pickle, focaccia crumbs, paprika crema and pickled shallots on puff dough. If you look for it on Instagram, I am sure you'll find a picture. Along those lines, I ordered an Astro Fuel Latte. The sign was hand written, so I may have missed a few ingredients, but this is what I remember: espresso with with condensed milk and a touch of black pepper. It was very sweet and creamy with a little bite of pepper on the back end. Think Vietnamese coffee with a little kick.

Located at the Edgewater Public Market, Black Box is a bakery and coffee shop counter that crafts some of the most sought after pastries in the metro area. My advice? Get there early to avoid disappointment! I was here yesterday, a Monday around 11am. There were only two people ahead of me. They have a nice display of pastries to gaze upon while you wait. Cue the flavor jets! I go to a lot of coffee shops and order a lot of ham and cheese croissants. There's is a pretzel croissant and it looked delicious! The woman in front of me ended up ordering the last one...which was a dagger to my bleeding heart. I'm more of a savory person than sweet, so I had to adjust in real time. I landed on the carrot cake croissant. Was it what I wanted? No. Was it yummy? Absolutely! Creamy, flaky, nutty, it was really tasty. If you're anywhere in the area, Edgewater Public Market is a must visit. Black Box is one of the standout businesses inside. And when I said viral at the beginning of this review, I mean it! Weekends are SLAMMED and lines are LONG. So, know what you want, and be prepared to wait for high quality pastries.

We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.
